After the Downer Review about Klang's Supposed Historical First Ever BKT that is 德地肉骨茶飯店 Teck Teh Bak Kut Teh, 😅 lets shift gears and talk about a More Uplifting One. 😄 If you were to do a Google Search about Famous Klang BKTs, this Name "Seng Huat" will certainly come up regularly listed in Many Top 10 Lists. 📜 It is also Affectionately Known as "The BKT Under the Bridge" 🌉 because the Restoran is Located Under a Bridge. Well more accurately, its located BESIDE a Bridge as you can see. 😅

What is even more interesting is that apparently Seng Huat and the Historical Teck Teh are actually Related. 🤔 It is even located literally just 1 Street Away, a Very Short 100m that is Easily Walkable from Teck Teh. 🚶 According to the Really Friendly Lady Boss, apparently Teck Teh is managed by her 堂哥 Cousin. 🤔 Although related, these 2 people are Completely Different in Personalities as you will see. 😅


Even before I stepped in, the Lady Boss is actually standing right at the Main Entrance with a Big Welcoming Smile. 💁 Green Flag! ♥️😄 Not only that, she even nicely recommend me to sit in their Aircon Area to enjoy the Aircon. ❄️😌 Having said that, it was Raining rather Heavily that time 🌧️ so I didn't mind choosing an Outside Seat for a More Natural Cooling Outdoor Feel. 🌬️😌 The Rest of the Staffs were also Friendly, Polite and kept to themselves. No issues with Customer Service here. 👍

The Actual Restoran is like a Large Kopitiam with both an Indoor Air-Conditioned Area ❄️ and a Outdoor Area where you can see the Bridge that its next to. 🌉 Compared to Teck Teh, it was certainly more Modern in its Renovations. As you can see, this Place is also rather Popular even at 9.00am on a Weekday Morning. 👍 

Anyway it took 1 MIn for the Chinese Tea and 2 Mins for the BKT. Everything was served up in 2 Mins. Quite Impressive Timing even when there were quite alot of Customers. 👍

Seng Huat does offer a Traditional "Tea Ceremony" using Tea Leaves Style of Chinese Tea here, 🫖🍵 although they make use of More Modern Water Dispensers instead of Kettles on Stove.

I ordered their Regular Non-Traditional Tea Leaves type of Chinese Tea instead though. 🍵 Not a Tea Connoisseur so I'm not sure what sort of Tea this actually is, 🌿🤔 but I thought it has a Nice "Tea Perfume" sort of Aroma. 👍

The Tea Taste is not Super Gao Gao type, a Tad on the Lighter Side but also Not Diluted. Decent but not really Super Amazing.




🐷 BKT Pork Knuckle (No Rice) = RM17.00

Just like Teck Teh, the BKT served here is in a Small Bowl with Very Little Soup Broth. 🍲🤔 Again I find it really Surprising that True Authentic Klang BKT actually don't really focus on Soup Broth like how we usually imagine Klang BKT to be. 🤔

🍲 Quality of the Soup Broth

Instead of the Simple Plain Average Braised Taste of Teck Teh, 🤔 the Taste here resembles More of what we would associate Klang BKT with, a Herbly type of Taste. 🌿🍲 That said, its also Not Very Gao Gao Robustly Herbly like how we usually imagine Klang BKT to taste like. 🤔

I would describe this Broth as Slightly Herbly Sweet 🌿 with also a Noticeable Light Herbal sort of Bitterness that lingers at the Back of your Throat. 🤔 It also has a Noticeable Collegeny Creaminess to it that gives it a 滑滑 Texture in your Mouth. 😋 Not Super Gao Gao Herbly, also Not Overly Salty.

🐷 Quality of the BKT Pork Knuckle

I ordered this because apparently in Many Food Blogs about Klang, this is supposedly a Favourite Cut for Klangites. 😄 When I tasted it, I immediately know why because OMG IT'S SO SOFT!! ♥️ The Whole Big Fat Knuckle is Braised So Soft that you can use your Tongue to push the Meat towards the Roof of your Mouth and it will just Break Apart Easily. 🐷♥️ Hahaha this is also the Same Description I gave for A5 Wagyu Beef if you recall. 🐮😅


The Lovely Fats and Soft Gelatinous Skin was So Creamy Soft, it made my Brain stop working for a Moment. 🐷🤯 Texture is similar to Thai Khao Kah Moo type of Amazing Jelly Softness. ♥️ Not Overly Porky, Deliciously Creamy. Totally understand why many Food Blogs claim that Pork Knuckle is a Favourite Cut 🐷👍 because its a Good Mix of Meat and Fat (More Fatty Actually) No Wonder I tasted Collageny Smoothness in this Soup Broth. 😋

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM1.00 (S$0.30) for this Cup of Chinese Tea, this is Affordable certainly, but its also Nothing Really Special. 🍵🤔 Think of it as ordering a Same "Diao He" in SG Kopitiam. 😅

That said, if you don't want to bother with "Tea Leaves, Tea Ceremony" Type of Tea, this is still a Simple Decent Choice.





At the Price of RM17.00 (S$5.20) for the BKT is not say Very Cheap, 🤔 but is still Cheaper than Teck Teh's RM21.50 (S$6.60) 😅 and is even made at a Much Higher Quality. 👍 Seng Huat's BKT Pork Quality really is Alot Better compared to Teck Teh. 🐷🤔 The 2 of them are really Heaven and Earth 一个天一个地. 🤔 EVERTHING about Seng Huat's Pork Knuckle from the Fat, Skin to even the Meat was Well Braised and so Insanely Soft. ♥️

And I haven't even touch upon the Much More Friendlier Customer Service from the Lady Boss. 💁♥️ I appreciate that she herself was at the Main Entrance personally welcoming Customers with a Smile. 💁😄 Simple Gestures like these goes a long way. Her Friendly Demeanor really salvaged my Initial Impression of Klang after my Unpleasant Encounter at Teck Teh. 😅 Even though the 2 Eateries are Related, their Customer Service Levels are Completely Different. 🤔 

If this is the 1st Time you are visiting Klang, I highly recommend to come HERE to Seng Huat to get a Much Better 1st Impression of Klang BKT. 👍 Don't make the same mistake as I did to visit Teck Teh first despite how Historical its supposed to be. 😅

Actual Klang BKT may not be the Klang BKT that you think you know.

Moving on, I feel you will also need to keep an Open-Mind and Manage your Expectations about Klang BKT in General. 🍲🤔  Despite how Famous Klang BKT may be, you might actually be surprised that the Actual Taste of Authentic Klang BKT from Klang itself may not actually taste like the Stereotypical "Klang BKT Very Robust Gao Gao Herbal Taste" that you may be expecting. 🌿🍲🙅‍♂️
