What is this Food Review Blog all about?

Johor Bahru (JB) in Malaysia 🇲🇾 is a Very Popular Food Haunt for Many Singaporeans. 🇸🇬 And yet other then the Usual Random User Recommendations on Facebook Groups, there are Not Many SG-Based Food Blogs that focus on reviewing the Eateries and Restaurants there, and even Fewer that review them from a Solo Traveller's Perspective. 🚶🤔

As I Solo Travel frequently to JB, I thought I'd fill in this role. 👍 While JB is the Main Focus of this Food Blog which I visit most months of the Year, I will also sometimes visit Other Parts of Malaysia 🇲🇾 or even Other Countries 🌏 to spice it up and not just only JB all the time. 😅 My hope is for this Food Blog to act like a Handy Travel Companion where you can find my Recommendations for Places to eat in JB or other Locations. 👍

While this Food Blog is understandably more for Singaporeans looking for Good Eats in Johor Bahru, I also Warmly Welcome Anyone Else to visit too! 😄 Come stay awhile and listen to my Ramblings! Hahaha! 😅

Why Solo Travelling?

I mean Food always tastes Better when eating with Friends or Family right? 😋 As good as it is, I personally feel however that this distracts one from how good the Food actually tastes. 🤔 Solo Travellers will also understand the Subtleties that you will notice when doing Solo Travelling such as a Restaurant's Attitude towards Solo Diners. 🤔 That, and I guess it can be Challenging to find someone who actually aligns well with you to go travelling and eating together. 😅


                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Why am I here in Blogger?

I used to have a Facebook Group by the Same Name which I used as a Personal Food Review Blog that had over 12,000 Members. 📝 Unfortunately all these came to a Sudden Halt when Facebook decided to Suddenly Suspend my Account despite me never violating any rules at all. 😱 I have also lost access to my Personal 10+ Years FB Account. 💔

Although my FB Group was only 3 Years Old, the Most Devastating Blow to me personally, was losing the Wonderful Community that I had slowly built up. 😭 I have made an Appeal to Facebook to get my Account re-instated, but I also have to face the Reality that I may never get it back. 😔

For the Past 3 Years, my Free Time and Hobby has been focused on my Food Review Blog:

1. I travel to Malaysia Johor Bahru or Other Overseas Countries Monthly to Savour and Enjoy the Foods. 😋
2. When I come back from the Trip, I will write a Food Review based on my Personal Opinion of the Place. 📝
3. I will then post my Review and share my Dining Experience on my FB Food Blog. ❤️

This was a Routine that I enjoyed and I always looked forward to all my Trips. ❤️ In fact I enjoyed it so much,
I even intended for it to be my Long Term Retirement Hobby in the Future. 👴 But alas this was not to be. 😅

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

When One Door Closes, Another Opens.

I've come to the realization that I enjoyed this Hobby and Routine so much that I'm just not willing to give it all up even with my FB Account suspended. 🤔 I really do want to make this into my Long Term Retirement Hobby. 👍 And so here I am, after trying out a Few Blogging Sites, I've finally decided on Blogger since it is the Easiest to use. 👍

Even so, it is still quite a Learning Curve. 😅 Writing an Actual Blog instead of Posting on Facebook requires a Completely Different Skillset that I need to learn. 📝 That said, I enjoy the More Professional Tools and Functions ⚒️ available here compared to the Shoddy Workarounds I had to deal with on my Former FB Page. 😅

Anyway many things are still In Progress as I'm slowly migrating all the stuffs over. 🤔 Heck I'm liking this New Blogger Platform so much that even if my Facebook Account is somehow re-instated in the Future, I don't think I will be going back to it anymore. 👍
