I'll be Honest, this Place was part of the Reason why I booked my Hostel Stay in the Northern Jinjang/Kepong Area of KL during my Trip. 🇲🇾 (Obviously its much Cheaper compared to staying in Central KL lah). 😅 The Main Appeal of this Place is the fact that it unusually opens at 3.00am! 🕒😳  Super Unusual Timing for an Eating Place so I was really skeptical about whether its really true. 🤔

The Eatery itself is really a Makeshift Roadside Food Stall with some Dining Tables available as you can see. 🤔 Its run by what looks like a Mother and Son Team. 👵👨 They are Friendly and Polite especially the Mom who is a Very Sweet Lady. ♥️ When I reached the Place at 4.00am on a Tuesday Morning, 🕓 I was really surprised by the Amount of Customers at that time! 😳 Its not Super Long Queue type of Situation but there was still a Surprising Significant Amount of Customers at such a Wierd Hour. 😳🌃 Hahaha KL-Lang really all Very 夜猫. 🌃😽

How to Order your Food:

1) This Place is Cash Only obviously. 💵 Go ahead and Secure a Seat if you can before queuing up near the Stall.

2) When its your turn, just indicate if you're Dining-In or Takeaway. 🍽️🛍️ They have No Menu but the Usual Combinations that you'd expect from a Chicken Rice / Roasted Meats Stall are available. 🐔🍖 They also sell Drinks. 🥤

3) Once ordered, go back to your Seat and wait, someone will serve it up to you. If you don't have a Seat, you can either Politely Request to Share Table with someone like what I did. 👍

4) You can either Pay after its Served Up, or Pay after you Finish your Meal. Either way is fine. 👍 It took about 3 Mins for the Dish to be served up for me.

I ordered this because I want to sample all the Meats they have on Offer.

Of course I dissected them to check. The Dish consists of:
🐷 5 Pieces of Char Siew
🐷 5 Pieces of Sio Bak
🐔 5 Pieces of Roast Chicken
🥒 3 Slices of Cucumber

There are 2 Sauce Condiments provided. 🍯

One is a Oily Braised Lor Zhup that has a Slightly Sweetish Taste Profile. 😋 Despite being Oily, it didn't taste oily and was nice to lum this Zhup onto the Rice. 🍯🍚

The Other Sauce is an Elevated Spicy Chilli Sauce with a Sourish Tinge. 🌶️ Cold to the Taste, this doesn't taste too different from the type of Chilli Sauce you'd usually find for Chicken Rice.🐔🤔 Spiciness does linger awhile on the Tongue although it doesnt bite hard. 🌶️

🍚 Quality of the Chicken Rice

The Chicken Rice is made of Jasmine Rice of course. 🍚 It has a Decent Aromatic 油香味. 😋 Not Mushy, the Texture was still 粒粒分明. Not Super Elite Tier type of Chicken Rice but still Very Decent Acceptable Quality. 👍 Amount given for the Price is Acceptable and Filling.

🐷 Quality of the Char Siew

Served in Relatively Fatty Cuts, these were actually Quite Yummy. 😋 Soft and Fatty, and while they are not the Melt-In-Mouth type of Meat Candy, they were still Very Decent. 🍖😋 I especially like the Gravy Zhup which was Rich and Thick with an Elevated Sweetness. 🍯😋 I would rate this as Above Average compared to SG Kopitiam Level.

🐷 Quality of the Sio Bak

Also Fattier Cuts for these. While the Skin is not those Freshly Crispy, it was still Nicely Crunchy, not Nua Nua. 🐷😋 I liked the Meatiness of this despite being a Fattier Cut that also doesn't taste Overly Porky. 👍 Not Bad Taste, I'd rate this about same as SG Kopitiam Level.

🐔 Quality of the Roast Chicken

Surprisingly Decent. These were Soft, Smooth, Juicy and Tender although it was a Tad Oily, 🤔 it wasn't Overly Chickeney. I also liked that they gave Thigh Meat for 🐔😋 this and were Not Boney Cuts. Very Decent SG Kopitiam Level.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Combined Price of RM12.00 (S$3.70) for 3 Different Types of Meats with Rice, this is Definitely Affordable 👍 especially so because its available at such an Unusual Late (Early) Timing at 4.00am when I visited. 🕓😳 While the Quality of Meats are Obviously Not Michelin-Grade or Super Mind-Blowing, 😅 all of them were Very Decent Tasting and more importantly, the Amount given were Not Stingy and were Very Acceptable and Filling 吃得饱 type. 😋 Among the Meats though, I particularly like their Char Siew because I like the Gravy they lum for this. 🐷🍯

Having said that, this is still at its Heart a Roadside Food Stall. 🤔 So if you are the type that is Particularly Concerned about Hygiene or Cleanliness, this is Absolutely Not the type of Place for you. 🙅‍♂️ You will occasionally smell Foul Odours or what I call "Street Smells" if you were to dine here due to the Location of the Place. 🤔 

Because this is Open Late-Night, 🌃 you also need to take note of Safety if you are walking to this place. 🤔 I personally felt the path here was pretty open with No Dark Alleyways but this is still something to take note especially if you are a Lone Female Traveller. 👩🤔 

Even if you are ok with all of the above that I mentioned, there is still One Additional Important Thing that you need to know. 🤔

The Area where this Eatery is in is also located near some Chicken Slaughtering Shops. 🔪🐔 So don't be surprised if you hear Loud Shrieks and Cries of Live Chickens being Slaughtered nearby while you yourself are eating Chicken Rice like this. 🐔😅 Morbid, I know.

Hahaha for some people, this may well be the Ultimate Big NOPE that will discourage them from ever visiting this. 🙅‍♂️😅 I'm personally unbothered by it though, because eating in an Environment like this is Truly a Unique Experience that is just not found in our Overly Squeaky Clean Singapore. 🇸🇬😅

Hahaha I even curiously went exploring to check out these Nearby Chicken Slaughtering Shops 🔪🐔 after my Meal that you can see the Photo I've taken. 📷😅 Don't worry, Not Gory. Pretty Friendly Folks that kindly allowed me to take Photos. LOL I love his Thumbs Up! 😅👍

Coming to this Place is alot of Things for me. 🤔 Not only do I have the chance to explore and enjoy a Very Unusual and Affordable Late-Night 4.00am Supper (Breakfast?), 😅 the Food actually taste Decent. 😋 I also have no issues with the Friendly Folks, especially with the Owner's Mom who was really very Sweet and Welcoming. 👵♥️

Add to the Fact that the Location it is in lets you eat Chicken Rice while listening to Live Chickens being Slaughtered 🔪🐔  is something that you will never ever be able to experience in Singapore. 🇸🇬🙅‍♂️ This is the Type of Place that I really love about Malaysia. 🇲🇾♥️ That Very Rustic Traditional Old School 1980s Nostalgic Feel I remembered fondly that can no longer be found in Today's Singapore. 🇸🇬🫤

This may just be a Roadside Foodstall, but the Whole Overall Experience I described is why I look forward to my Malaysia Travels 🇲🇾 and is something you need to experience at least once in your Life. 👍
