This is a Small Food Street located in the Pudu City Ward of Kuala Lumpur. 🇲🇾 The Name "Wai Sek Kai" is actually Cantonese and this place essentially translates to "Gluttony Street". 😅 The Whole Street is actually 1 Simple Straight Road with Food Stalls lining both sides. 🛣️ No Vehicles are allowed within. Not a Very Long Street Actually. When measured in Google Maps, its only about 100m long. 🤔 For some reason, this place reminds me of a Smaller Scale Version of Taiwan's Nanjichang Night Market which has a Similar Vibe. 🇹🇼
Unfortunately, it was Drizzling quite Heavily 🌧️ when I was there on a Weekday Evening at around 6.30pm, so there weren't alot of Customers at all. 🤔 Alot of Food Stalls are also not open at that time, so I have no idea whether this Food Street is catered towards Local or if its more Touristy tbh. 🤔
Because of the Rain, 🌧️ I also have no idea what is the Best Time to visit this Place. 🤔 Unless you are already near the Area, I would recommend to just skip this place if its Raining.
🌧️ If you do want to visit though, there are some Larger Food Stalls that have Dedicated Shelters as you can see.
From the Food Stalls that are Open, I can see they are mostly focused on Local Malaysian Chinese Cuisines with some Malay Food Stalls. 🇲🇾
Prices for the Food Items mostly range from RM10.00 onwards, agar agar around Regular KL / JB Food Prices.
From what I see, there are also No Public Restroom Facilities available, so you might want to take note of this. 🚻
