🐷🍲 Claypot BKT Soup (Ribs) No Rice = RM23.30
No Service Charges
Prices are Accurate as of the Date of the Post.
This is yet another Famous Name if you were to do a Google Search for Famous BKT Eateries in Klang. That said, the General Consensus is Noticeably Quite Divisive with some swearing that this is the Best BKT in Klang and some others saying its pretty Meh. 🤔
The Name "Teluk Pulai" is Malay, although my Malay Colleagues say it doesn't have a Specific Meaning. 🤔 The Direct Chinese Translation however is kindda interesting if a tad Morbid. "直落玻璃" translates to "Falling Shards of Glass" 😳 Hahaha no idea why the name is being translated like this. 😅
This Eatery is a Big Corner Shop Old Kopitiam. 🤔 Not Air-Conditioned, Brightly Lit and Relatively Cleanly Maintained. The Staffs were Friendly, Polite and Mostly Kept to Themselves.

🐷🍲 Claypot BKT Soup (Ribs) No Rice = RM23.30
I was suitably impressed when it was served up Bubbling Hot in a Huge Claypot. 🔥🍲
Interestingly, this is the 1st BKT I see in Klang that includes Lettuce. 🥬
Of course I dissected the Dish Closely which consists of:
🐷 4 Cuts of Pork Ribs (2 Ribs cut in Half)🥬 Lettuce leaves
🟧 5 Beancurd Sheets
🟧 3 Halves of a Square Taupok
🍄 1 Button Mushroom

🍲 Quality of the Soup Broth
The Amount of Soup given was about 2 Small Bowls. 🥣 Not Collageny at all, this was more Watery Soupy. The Taste is Mostly Braised with a Small Hint of Herbal, 🌿 Not Gao Gao type of Herbal. 🤔
Slightly Salty but not Overly So. Among all the BKTs I've eaten in Klang, this one surprsingly tasted Closest to the type of BKT Soup that you'd normally find in JB actually. 🍲😅 我人是到了巴生, 但是感觉好像还没有离开新山. 😅
🐷 Quality of the Pork Ribs
2 Full Ribs cut into 4 Pieces. 🔪🐷 I wouldn't call this "Fall off the Bone Quality" but it does easily slides off. Meaty and Not Overly Porky, a Tad Oily. 🍖 To be very honest, I really don't find this much different from a Similar Type of Standard Braised BKT you'd find in JB. 🤔 If you were to blindfold me, I probably also can't tell the Difference too. 😅

Quality of the Rest of the Ingredients
Nothing really much to say about these. Like I say, they are about similar in Quality to a Similar Braised BKT you'd normally find in JB tbh. 🍲🤔

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM23.30 (S$7.20) is Certainly Not Cheap at all for this BKT. 🤔 The Overall Verdict I would give for this is that it actually doesn't taste that much Different from a Similar type of Average Standard Soupy Braised BKT you'd find in JB. 🐷😅
Not at all Robust Gao Gao Herbal, 🌿🙅♂️ this is a Typical Braised and Very Slightly Herbal type of Soup Broth. 🍲 Acceptable, but Nothing Amazing. This is a Klang BKT, that actually feels more JB-Styled. 😅
Having said that, this is the Only BKT I have eaten so far that gave the Most Soup at 2 Small Bowls worth. 🍲🥣 It is also the Only BKT that gave Lettuce. 🥬 Overall though, I don't really feel its worth the Price to specifically come here to Klang to eat this because the Quality of this is really similar to a Typical Average Standard JB Braised BKT, and amusingly actually cost more. 💵😅

Don't let my Average Score deter you from this Place. Although I'm not particularly impressed with this BKT, there is nothing wrong with it. 🤔 If you are ok with a BKT that taste very similar to the ones in JB, and is ok with the Prices on their Menu, I can still recommend to give this a try because this place is still considered Famous in Klang and there are people who do swear by its Quality. 🐷🤔
