This is a Michelin Rated BKT located in the Northern Kepong Area of KL. 🇲🇾 Because I will be going to Klang which is obviously famous for BKT, 🤔 I figured I would give KL BKT a try too and a Michelin Rated one sounds like a Pretty Good Choice. 😋
The Actual Name of the Restoran is called "Lau Kim Thai" on the Signboard. 🤔 Its a Very Big Place that looks like it has been around for many years. Really Crowded as of 5.30pm on a Saturday although I could still find a Seat as a Solo Diner. 👍 Most of the Customers here amusingly seems to be Singaporeans too as I could recognize our Unmistakeable Singapore Accent. 🇸🇬😅

What I really liked though as I walked around was a Very Delicious Aroma of Braised Dry BKT. 🍲😋 That said I ordered their Soup Version, not their Dry BKT for this review. This is a Really Large Eatery as you can see from the Video. 🎥 Although Not Air-conditioned, it was still Open and Airy. 🌬️ That said though it certainly helped that it was Raining 🌧️ when I visited which was also perhaps the Perfect Right Time for me to taste their BKT Soup too. 😄The Staffs are Friendly and Polite but one thing though as I sat down, the Staff kept standing there waiting 🧍♀️ while I was taking my time to look through and take photos for this Review. 📷😅 Hahaha although she was Friendly and did not give any 死人脸, it still felt a Tad Stressful and Rushed with her standing there even though I specifically mentioned she can go attend to other Tables first. 😅

Longtime Readers of this Food Blog will know that I only order BKT at its Default Basic Set without any Chapalang DLC Ingredients because if the Base Soup Quality is no good, adding anything extra will not improve the Dish. 🤔
I do appreciate that there are No Attempts by the Staff to try to Upsell me more Chapalang DLC Ingredients as is the Practice of Most other BKT Eateries. 👍 I even appreciate that she did not give any 死人脸 even when I did not order any Rice or even any Drinks as I observed. 👍 Not Bad.
The Dish was served up in 12 Mins which took quite long but was still Acceptable considering the Elevated Crowd Level when I visited on a Saturday Near Dinner Time. 🤔
🍲 BKT Soup Mix (No Rice) = RM22.00
Although the Presentation wasn't anything Amazing at first glance, 🤔 it does look like a Pretty Meat Focused BKT. 🍖 Of course I dissected and counted every piece.

The Dish Consists of:
🐷 1 Pork Rib
🐷 2 Slices of Pig Stomach
🐷 3 Cuts of Pork Belly
🐷 2 KL Style of Pork Intestine Pieces
🐷 1 Large Piece of 半肥 Cut?
🐷 3 Cuts of Pork Loin?
As you can see, there are some Interesting Cuts that are available in this Set that I don't usually see for BKTs in JB or Singapore. 🐷🤔

🍲 Quality of the Soup Broth
The Soup has a Nice Gao Gao Sweetish type of Herbal Flavour. 🌿😋 I think this is 甘草? Tastes similar to that BKT Soup that I tasted in 興福肉骨茶 Kedai Bak Kut Teh Hin Hock at JB Tampoi the other time. 🤔 It has a Similar Sweetish Note to it. If you like such Herbally Sweetish type of Soup, you will probably enjoy this too. 👍 Not Bad Quality, doesn't taste Dilluted or felt like they scrimped on Ingredients for this. 👍

🐷 Pork Ribs
Served in a Whole Piece, this wasn't those Super Soft Meat that will fall off the Bone type, but was still Decently Tender Tasting. 👍 Not Overly Porky. Not Bad.

🐷 1 Large Piece of 半肥 Cut?
Actually, I also don't know if this is called 半肥. 😅 I myself call this Cut 半肥 because it is a Mix of both Fatty and Meaty. 🍖 The Fatty Part is Soft and Creamy, not those Firm Firm type and the Meaty Section is Sweetish that's not Overly Porky. 👍 Interesting Cut, I liked the taste of this.

🐷 KL Styled Pork Intestine Pieces
The First Time I encountered this type of Intestine Cut is from "Like Mee Noodles House" in JB Taman Mount Austin. 🤔 This is a Uniquely KL Style with lots of Pieces of Intestines Tightly Packed within giving it its Unique Look. 🤔 Bite Feel of this is like eating Many Layers of Slices all at Once. 😋 Bouncy and Meaty, this was Not Overly Intestiney in Taste.

🐷 Pork Loin Cut
Actually again, I have no idea what this Cut is called, so I called it Loin. 😅 This Cut was so Tender that it practically fell apart in my Mouth as I gave it the Slightest Chew. 😋 Very Nice Meaty Taste.
🐷 Belly and Pig Stomach Slices.
Nothing particularly Special about these 2 Cuts. 🤔 They taste like how you'd expect them to taste if you have eaten before. Both are Not Overly Porky and Decent in Taste. 👍

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM22.00 (S$6.80) for this Basic Set is not say Cheap, but I still feel it is worth the Price. 👍 The Soup Broth itself tastes Decently Herbal, 🌿 Not Diluted and didn't taste like they scrimp on Ingredients. 👍 If you are ok with a Sweetish Type of Herbal, you will likely have no issues with this. What I also liked are the Different Variety of More Unusual Cuts that are not commonly seen for JB type of BKT. 🐷🤔 The Amount of Meat in this Basic Single Set felt Acceptable for the Price. 🍖👍

Overall, this was a Decent Dining Experience but I wouldn't call this a Definite Amazing Must Eat if you are here in KL. 🤔 Its Decent Tasting but also not something that I would willingly queue hours for even though its Michelin Rated. 😅 But if you are in KL and nearby the Northern Kepong Area, 🇲🇾 and if there are Little to No Queues, I can still recommend to swing by to give this a try if you are craving for some BKT. 👍
