This is a Big and Spacious Restoran in Stulang Laut located in the Same Cluster of Restorans such as Railway Briyani Station and Cathay Restaurant Vantage Bay that I have reviewed previously. Really Big, Spacious and Comfortably Air-Conditioned, its themed to look like a Fishing Village although the Renovations within look More Modern Atas. The Music Background were some Soft Piano Instrumentals.
The Staffs consists of mostly Myanmar Folks who are Friendly with a Smile, Polite and some of them can speak Mandarin. They are led by an Equally Friendly and Polite Indian Manager who can speak Very Good Mandarin himself.
I have no issues with Customer Service here. Although Not Full House, there were still quite a Healthy Number of Customers as you can see at 11.44am on a Saturday Long Weekend when I visited. I have passed by this Place in the Evenings before and can see that it is also Quite Popular.

As you can see in the Menu, they're mainly focused on Fish Soups so that's what I ordered. It took 4 Mins for the Fishcake Dish, 5 Mins for the Kopi-O-Kosong, and 7 Mins for the Fish Soup. Everything was served up within 7 Mins.

Quality of the Condiments
There are 5 Sauces and Chilli Slices available as Condiments.
I will describe each of them in Sequential Order from Left to Right as you can refer to in the Photo.

This was a Nice Saltish Sambal Mix of what tastes like Minced Chye Poh and Haebee.
Saltish, Sweetish and Savoury, its Mildly Spicy that doesn't Bite. I especially like the Chai Poh in this.

Orange Coloured Sauce
This is Very Similar to the type of Chilli Sauce that you'd get from a Supermarket Bottle.
Sweetish, Thick and Mildly Spicy. Decent if Average.

Dark Red Sauce
This looks like Belacan Chilli, but its Not. I can't quite describe this. Its ... Fruity but also Not Fruity, and has a Chilli Sauce Profile that is Not Very Commonly Found, yet Not Unfamiliar that I think I've tasted somewhere before. Slightly Elevated Spicy, this one does Bite abit and Linger on your Tongue. I'm so sorry I can't describe this better. Decent Chilli.
Yellow Coloured Sauce
Very Fruity and Sweetish with a Slight Sourish Tang. Slightly Spicy that doesn't bite. The Main Taste Profile of this is that Sourish Tang. Also has a Bit of Grittiness from Ginger, but the Whole Sauce isn't Gingery. Unique Tasting.
Red Chilli Sauce
This is yet another Supermarket Bottle type of Chilli Sauce. Slightly Higher Quality,
Not Very Spicy but does linger awhile on your Tongue. Texture is Gritty with lots of Chopped Chilli Pieces.

A1 Kopi O (Hot, No Sugar) = RM3.80
Beautifully Steaming Hot when it was served up in a Decent Sized Coffee Cup. There is a Nice Robust Aroma wafting from this. Rich, Thick and Gao Gao with No Siap Siap and a Solid Coffee Bitterness. This was a Strong Coffee that Woke Me Up Fresh. Decent Quality Coffee.
F1 Signature Fishcake (1 Piece) = RM7.90
Ordered this because I wanted a Side-Dish to pair with my Fish Soup and I wanted to know how "Signature" it is. Cut in 8 Pieces and Simply but Nicely Presented on a Piece of Iceberg Lettuce Leaf, there was an Immediate Very Appetizing 油香味 Aroma from this Fishcake.
I enjoy the Bouncy Firm and Nice Sweetish Fishiness from this that is also Not Overly Fishy. Because this is Freshly Fried, I like the Slight Crisp of the Outer Skin when you bite down on it which also gives a Slight Shot of what I would describe as "Fishy Juiciness". Very Decent Quality. Just like the Fishcake that I had at 安记酿豆腐 Restoran Ankee Yong Tauhu in TUTA the other time, this doesn't taste like some Cheapo Fishcake from some Supermarket.

E6 鱼肉鱼头汤 Fish Meat + Fish Head Soup (No Carbs) = RM22.90
Surprising for a Restoran that focuses on Fish Soups, this isn't considered their Signature Dish.
I was immediately impressed when this was served up because just by looking at it, the Ingredients given don't feel Stingy. Really felt like a Whole Huge Bounty of Food.

Of course I closely dissected it which consists of:
I was immediately impressed when this was served up because just by looking at it, the Ingredients given don't feel Stingy. Really felt like a Whole Huge Bounty of Food.

Of course I closely dissected it which consists of:
Fish Soup
8 Cuts of Fried Fish Head
6 Slices of White Fish Meat
Lots of Veggies
1 Small tomato (Cut into Quarters)
4 Squares of Soft Tofu
Strips of Yam Sticks
Ginger, Coriander
If we count 10 Tablespoons of Soup for 1 Small Bowl, the Total Amount of Soup given are 2 Small Bowls + about 4 Tablespoon worth. Not Stingy with Soup. Not Bad.
As soon as I tasted this Soup, I found a Mild Gingery Presence that isn't Overly Gingery. Seafoody Sweetish and I think there is a Very Slight Bit of MSG Added and Not Overly Salty. There is also a Presence of Fried Fish within.
I would compare the Quality of this Soup to be about Comparable to a Typical SG Kopitiam type of Fish Soup. Not Super Amazing, but Decent and Very Drinkable. Not quite at the Level of Ho Chuai Yong Fish Soup Freshness at Larkin which I had but still Decent.
Quality of the Fish Head
Very Impressed with how Generous they are in giving this. I think its at least Half a Fish Head? I like the Presence of 炸鱼味 which also permeated in the Soup. Some Parts were More Boney, while Some were Meaty Fleshy.
No Wierd Taste or Fishiness, again this isn't Super Amazing and is Comparable to a Typical SG Kopitiam Level. I'm more impressed with the Generous Amount given. It was nice to take my time to gnaw them.

No idea what Fish is used in this, but its Soft and Tender, not the Bouncy Firmish type. It Easily Disintegrates in my Mouth. Tasted Mostly Clean with a Very Slight Bit of Fishiness but I never felt Jelak eating this. Again not Super Amazing, but its Decent Quality.
The Soft Tofu was most certainly from some Supermarket Package, I like how Creamy Soft this was that Melted in my Mouth. There is a Noticeable Presence of Raw Tofu-ness but not too much. Not Bad.
Nothing Special about the Veggies, Tomato's and Yam Sticks.
They're Soft and Tender and tastes like how you'd expect.

C6 Braised Premium Shark Fin Soup = RM19.90 (Free)
Hahaha, perhaps when I was Closely Dissecting Every Piece of Ingredient from the Fish Soup, the Eatery got rattled and I was offered this Item for Free.
I tried to reject it at first but accepted in the end since they insisted.
As with any Free Food Item I get, this Item does not Factor into the Final Score for this Review.

The Condiments served for this are a Vinegar which didn't taste Overly Vinegary. In fact I thought the Vinegar Presence in this is Very Mild.
The Other Condiment is a Yellow-Coloured Cooking Wine? It tastes like Cooking Wine with a Noticeable Alcoholic Presence that will slightly sting your Tongue.
Quality of this Shark's Fin Soup
Served in a Small Pot, this Sharks Fin Soup has a Very Unique Bright Yellow Appearance. Thickened, it looks like there are Beaten Egg Yolk within. As I tasted this, the 1st Thing that hit me was a Noticeable Presence of Crab. This thing tasted like its Boiled with a Gao Gao Level of Crab.
That said, the thing that Completely Threw Me Off was how Very Sweet this tasted. I'm not trying to describe this Sweetness as "Seafoody Sweetness" type of Sweet. This thing is ACTUALLY Sweet like a Sweet Dessert type of Sweet. If you have eaten Conventional Chinese-Styled Shark's Fin Soup, you will know that the Classic Taste is supposed to be Savoury Saltish with a Hit of Vinegar if you add some. The Version here Completely Does Not Taste like that.
This thing tasted so Sweet OMG! Try to Imagine a Sweet Liquidy Egg Custard Dessert that has a Presence of Crab and you will roughly get an idea of what this taste like. Yes I know, its as Wierd as you imagine. The Ingredients within were Sharks Fin, some Enoki, a Small Piece of Prawn and all of them are Soft Tender in Texture. I really really cannot get over how Unusually Sweet this Dish tasted. And the more I ate this, the More Jelak I got.

Adding both the Vinegar and Alcoholic Condiments that came with it did not improve the Taste, but INSTEAD MADE IT WORSE! Eeee in addition to the Jelaky Unusual Sweet Egg Custard Soup with a Crab Flavour, now there's an Additional Vinegar and 酒精 Alcoholic Hit.
NOTHING in this Dish worked together. Everything Majorly Clashed for Attention making this taste Ultra Wierd. Hahaha, its not Foul Tasting, but it tastes so Wierd and Jelak that I didn't even bother to finish it off after a Few Spoonfuls. This Dish proves without a Doubt that even when you throw a Bunch of Atas Ingredients within, it doesn't mean that the Dish itself will automatically taste Amazing.
All I felt was "Heng I never bought this and this was a Free Item"
Hahaha they're lucky I didn't count this Dish as part of my Review Score!

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM3.80 (S$1.20) for this Kopi-O was a Decent Price for a Decent Cup of Coffee.
Rich, Thick and Gao Gao with No Siap Siap and a Solid Coffee Bitterness. This was a Strong Decent Coffee that Woke Me Up Fresh.
At the Price of RM7.90 (S$2.50) for the Signature Fishcake, this was also Very Decent Quality and Comparable to a Similar Fishcake Quality I had at 安记酿豆腐 Restoran Ankee Yong Tauhu in TUTA that I reviewed previously.
Delicious 油香味 with a Sight Crisp Skin and a Bouncy "Fishy Juiciness". This is a Decent Side-Dish to pair with your Main Dish.
At the Price of RM22.90 (S$7.20) is not say Cheap. The Quality of Fish Soup I feel is Comparable to a Standard SG Kopitiam Level of 鱼汤. Clean, Not Overly Salty, Decent but Nothing Amazing.
What stood out for me more, is how Generous they were in giving out the Ingredients. Not at all Stingy. I did not order any Carbs for my Dish and already it is chocked so Full of Ingredients the Bowl was Almost Filled to the Brim.
While again None of the Ingredients were Super Amazing, there were so Many of them Given until I myself 吃到饱饱. I feel this is Worth the Money to try. Really Generous 汤跟料给的很足, 一点也不令色. I reckon you're unlikely to get this Amount of Ingredients in SG for a Similar Priced Dish. This Fish Soup I ordered may not have been listed as a Signature on their Menu, but I felt I scored a Jackpot with it. Nice.
At the Price of RM19.90 (S$6.30) for this Bowl of Braised Shark's Fin Soup that I received for Free, ironically I felt this was the Weakest Dish of the Bunch.
Instead of tasting like a Conventional Savoury Shark's Fin Soup, this thing tasted more like a Sweet Egg Custard Dessert that I am unable to accept for a Shark's Fin Soup. Adding the Condiments not only did not improve the Dish, I felt they made it even worse.
To be fair, the Dish is not Foul Tasting. But it is such a Complete Clashing of Flavour and Ingredients that I felt this actually reaches 黑暗料理 Level. Nothing in this Dish worked together and it was such a Wierd Unusual Combination of Flavours that made me Jelaked so much I can't even finish it.
Hahaha the only thing I was glad was that this was given to me for Free. Not a Dish I like, perhaps someone else out there might enjoy it more. I do appreciate that I got the chance to give it a try though.

Overall, I have no issues with this place. While its not a Place that is worth to specifically come to JB to eat, it is still a Very Decent Place to consider if you are around the Stulang Laut Area. The Place is Nice and Comfortable, Staffs are Polite and Friendly with a Genuine Smile.
What I'm Most Impressed was how Generous they are with the Amount of Ingredients they gave, which is More than Fair for the Price they are asking. Its also impressive that this Place doesn't charge Service Charges or Service Tax.
If you are near the Stulang Laut Area, is ok with the Prices on their Menu, I can definitely recommend to come give this Restaurant a Try. I enjoyed my Dining Experience here and I won't mind coming back to try their other dishes in the future. Hahaha maybe just skip their Extremely Unusual Tasting Braised Shark's Fin Soup though!
