This is an Old-School Looking Chinese Styled Banquet ้
ๆฅผ-Level of Restaurant hidden at the Basement LG Level of the Mall. Everytime I passed by it in the Past, even though not Crowded until like Full House, I'm always impressed to see it Rather Popular with Customers even on Weekdays.
Stepping into the Place, there is an Immediate Familiar 1980s Style of Chinese ้
ๆฅผ type of Feel in its Furnishings. I reckon this Place must be around for Many Years already.
Really Large Restaurant, I won't be surprised if this is the Sort of Place that People book to have their Wedding Banquet in. Air-Conditioned but Not Cold, I'm quite Surprised that there are No Background Music being Played here.

Interestingly although its a ้
ๆฅผ Level of Restoran, they do serve some Normal Sized Meals in their Menu. But their Main Focus I feel is more on Tze Char Style of Dishes.
The Staffs are a Mix of Myanmar, Malay and Malaysian Chinese Folks. All of them are Friendly, Polite and Mostly Keep to Themselves. I'm particularly impressed with the Malay Lady Staff who took my Order.
She has a Professional and Polite Demeanor and even spoke Very Decent Mandarin. I also appreciate that she will also Re-Verify what I order to ensure No Mistakes are Made. Very Good Service Standard Level.
I am also quite amused that as soon as I gave my Order, they provide a Basin of Hot Water with Eating Utensils within. This gave me very Fond Memories of my Time in Hong Kong.
Being that this is my First Time here, and since their Main Focus are Tze Char Dishes, I randomly ordered ไธ่, ไธ่, ไธๆฑค, No Carbs to give them a test.
It took 7 Mins for the Soup, 8 Mins for the Sambal Kangkong and 9 Mins for the Roast Chicken. Everything was served up within 9 Mins. Quite Impressive TIming considering the Elevated Level of Customers.
266 Roasted Chicken (Small) = RM30.00
Served with a Chilli and a Salt Dip, I was immediately impressed by this when it was served up.
But before I describe further, lets talk briefly about the Condiments.

But before I describe further, lets talk briefly about the Condiments.

The Chilli Sauce had a Fruity Slightly Sourish Profile. It looks and actually tastes Close to the Type of Chilli you'd normally get for Chicken Rice. Very Mild Spiciness, it act more like a Gentle Heat in your Mouth that anything.
The Salt Dip isn't just Salt. Its actually a Mix of Salt + Ajinomoto MSG with a Pinch of Pepper Flakes.
Quality of the Roast Chicken
As I mentioned, this was Impressive when it was served up. The Smaller Size that I ordered at RM30.00 looks like Half a Chicken with a Drummy Attached. I reckon their Larger Size at RM60.00 will probably feature a Full Chicken.

Oh the Roasted Aroma from this was Superb! Super ๆตๅฃๆฐดๆฒน้ฆๅณ!
As I bite into the Drummy, the Meat was so Tender and Juicy and the Skin had a Light Crisp with a Lovely Roasted Flavour.
Same for the Thigh Meat, Soft, Juicy and Never Overly Chickeney.
This is NOT your Typical SG Kopitiam type of Chicken Rice ็ง้ธก, this is ้ ๆฅผ Restoran Level of ่็ฎ็ง้ธก.

That said, the Breast Meat was Considerably Drier compared to Drummy and Thigh Cuts although it wasn't Inedible Dry and was still Tender Enough to still have a Decent Bite. Fuyoh this Chicken was so Clean Tasting and Shiok to Eat that I had Zero Issues Soloing it myself Easily with No Jelak.
Protip: This is a Good Tasting Roast Chicken that can be Eaten on its Own and I don't recommend dipping it in the Chilli Sauce. Its also Salty enough so I also don't recommend dipping in that Salt Dip which will make it Too Salty. Enjoy it for what it is, the ๅๆฑๅๅณ Taste.
Amount of Veggies given feels like Enough for maybe 2-3 People. Noticeably Soft and Tender, this was also Noticeably Oily Wet Wet type of Sambal Kangkong. Not as Salty as others i've eaten.
Its also Not Spicy at all. In fact the Spiciness is So Mild, that I feel even Children would be ok with it. The Sambal is more like a Tease than anything. Because its not Very Salty, this can be eaten without Rice, but it really is Noticeably Oily.

Quite a Large Bowl of this even for a Small Size. If we count 1 Small Bowl containing 4 Metal Scoops of Soup, there are Approximately 4-5 Small Bowls worth of Soup given.
Alot of Bittergourd Slices
2 Button Mushrooms cut in Quarters
5 Slices of Carrots
About 9 Cuts of Chicken Breast Meats of Various Sizes
This was an Egg Drop Chicken Soup that didn't taste Oily. Taste not Bad actually for a Chicken Soup, Warm and Comforting, Not Overly Salty or Chickeny.
Try to imagine a Decent Chicken Soup with a Tinge of Bittergourd and Slight Gingery and you'll roughly get how this taste like. Very Drinkable.

Quality of the Bittergourd
There are Many Slices of these Sliced Thinly.
Soft and Tender, Not Mushy and also Not Too Bitter.
Soft and Tender, Not Mushy and also Not Too Bitter.
Quality of the Chicken Pieces
While they are Breast Meat Cuts, they've been soaked so long in the Soup that they are all kindda Fall Apart Tender in Texture already. Clean Tasting and Not Chickeny at all.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM30.00 (S$9.50) for Half of this Roast Chicken I felt I hit the Jackpot with this Choice as it is Definitely Worth the Price. This is Not your Typical Kopitiam type of Chicken Rice ็ง้ธก. This is More like Chinese ้
ๆฅผ Level of ่็ฎ็ง้ธก.
The Light Crisp of the Skin, Delicious Roasted Flavour, Soft and Smooth Tender Juicy Drummy and Thigh made me Swoon over it. OMG so Good! The Breast Meat felt Drier in Comparison but luckily its also Not Super Inedible Dry. To pay Sub-S$10.00 Less than a SG McD Meal for Half a Roast Chicken of this Quality is Definitely Worth it. Do eat this when its Fresh Piping Hot though for the Best Taste.
At the Price of RM18.00 (S$5.80) for this Sambal Kangkong is Noticeably More Expensive than Restoran Tampoi Indah (Zi Char Stall) RM11.00 (S$3.50) although to be fair, this is located in a Mall and is a Chinese ้
ๆฅผ compared to a Non-Airconditioned Kopitiam.
I feel its OK as a Veggie Component, but the Sambal in the Sambal Kangkong here is just not there for me. Mildly Spicy, I think even Children can eat this. The Sambal was more of a Tease than Anything. I personally prefer Gao Gao Haebee Spicy type of Sambal myself. It is however one of the Less Salty Sambal Kangkong that I've eaten although I must say its also Noticeably Oily. I'd skip this myself, but maybe there is someone else out there who may prefer this.
At the Price of RM16.00 (S$5.20) for this Bittergourd Soup also isn't particularly Cheap but it is a Decent Tasting Chicken Soup that can comfortably feed 2-3 People.
I really do enjoy the Decent Warm and Comforting Taste of the Chicken Soup myself. I enjoyed the Slight Bittergourd Infused Flavour, Not Oily and Not Overly Salty, Very Drinkable. While it won't win any Awards, I personally fell that this is actually Nutritious to drink. Amount of Ingredients don't feel Stingy either. If you are looking for a Lighter Soup Component, I feel this is worth to give a try if you are OK with a Chicken Soup.
Overall I have No Issues with this Place. Although a Noticeable Older Looking Chinese Restoran ้
ๆฅผ, this Place is always Quite ไบบๆฐ็ญ้น as I observed whenever I'm here even on Weekdays.
Prices are of course Slightly Higher than Outside Kopitiam Level of Tze-Char, but I feel the Quality, Environment and Service Level are all Worth the Money. Very Decent Customer Service, I appreciate the Friendly Welcoming Malay Lady Staff who attended to me with a Nice Friendly Smile. I think she is the Only Malay Staff? Her Spoken Mandarin was Impressive.
Her Friendly and Welcoming Customer Service Level was a Main Reason why I have no issues giving this place my Highest Top Score. Very Nicely Done indeed.

If you are looking for a Family Based Tze Char Restoran to end the Day in Sutera Mall, is ok that this Place is Slightly Older Looking, is Ok with the Prices on their Menu, I can definitely recommend to give it a Try. Although not Full House, but as you can see in the Photos, this Place seems Popular with the Locals even on a Friday Weekday as I observed, so I reckon Weekends would be even More Popular.
Definitely Recommend to order their Roast Chicken ็ง้ธก! This was the Dish that impressed me the Most in terms of Quality and Value. If you only order 1 Dish from this place, I highly recommend to order this one. ็ง็ง่ถ
ๅฅฝๅ! Wooo thinking about it makes me want to go back and Devour another one!
