If you are researching on Famous Must-Eat Places in Kulai, you will most likely come across 2 Famous Beef Noodle Places. ่ซๆ็่้ข Mok Jiu Restaurant and this Hainan Ho Jiak.
A Brief History of this Eatery
According to the Very Friendly and Welcoming Owner, so apparently 30 Years Ago they started a F&B Business (unrelated to Beef Noodles I think) somewhere. They closed that other F&B, and ventured into some other Non-F&B Related Business for awhile.
Finally they decided to end all Operations and Restart their F&B Business and call it Hainan Hojiak in 2019 which has lasted to this day. I'm so sorry if I got any details wrong but this is the gist of it that I could remember.

The Current Eatery is a Very Big Place with a Small Non-Airconditioned Dining Area and a Larger Air-Conditioned Area. I thought it was especially interesting that this Larger Dining Area even had a Much More Grander Look renovated to look somewhat like a Older 1980s-Styled? ้ ๆฅผ as you can see in the Photo. Most Customers of course would prefer to sit in the Air-Conditioned Section.
While its Not Full House on a Weekday Morning when I arrived, I noticed that interestingly just like Mok Jiu, a Majority of their Customers are actually Students. Instead of Mok Jiu's Customers who are mostly Younger Primary School Kids, this Hainan Hojiak seems to attract slightly Older Secondary School Kids here. I reckon there is probably a Secondary School nearby.

There also seems to be 2 Owners here. One with a Noticeably Stern Looking Face for some reason and the other with a Much More Kinder and Friendlier ๆ ็ฅฅ Face. Of course I naturally approached the Friendlier of the 2.
And this Friendlier Looking Boss really was Very Friendly. Other than that "Price Menu" I posted above, there are actually No Real Menu in this Place. I appreciate him patiently explaining how to order in this Place. Very Unique Ordering, apparently you just tell them what you want for your Bowl of Beef Noodles and they can customize it to exactly how you like it. This is the 1st Time I've eaten a Beef Noodles that is as Customizable like this.
The Rest of the Myanmar Staffs are also Friendly and Polite as when I requested for an Extra Plate, they looked so Earnest and Eager to Help. As a 1st TIme Customer, I am impressed at this Customer Service Level (Not Counting that other Sterner Looking Boss of course)
Anyway it took only 1 Min for the Kopi-O-Kosong and 2 Mins for everything else. Quite Impressive Timing considering.
Kopi-O-Kosong = RM2.80
This Coffee has a Nice Classic Traditional Old-School Kopitiam type of Aroma. The 1st Taste of it gave a Quick Shot of Kopi Bitterness and I thought this was a Decently Strong although not Gao Gao type of Coffee. Not a Bad Coffee to wake up with in the Morning, this was a Decent Brew.

Quality of the Chilli
The Chilli they have here had a Bright Orange Appearance with a Nice Soft Texture from the Cut Chilli Pieces within.
It has an Interesting Savoury Saltish Taste with a Prominent Taste of Chilli Oil. Not Particularly Spicy, it never bites but maintains a Gentle Heat that lingers in your Mouth. Not Bad Chilli.
Beef Noodles Dry (ๆตทๅ็ฒ) Kosong = RM6.00
(This is Purely just Noodles with Gravy and a Soup. There are No Meat within)

Quality of the Soup
There is a Noticeable Whiff of White Pepper Aroma from this although the Soup itself doesn't taste Peppery at all, but more of a Saltish Savoury Flavour. It tastes like some sort of MSG is used although not too much.
Also not a Very Beefy Tasting Soup, it has just a Light Presence.
Overall Not a Very Complex Soup, this is a Very Light Tasting Beef Soup.

Quality of the Noodles
Again I noticed Pepper sprinkled on top. This Place sure like their Peppers.
It is presented garnished with what looks like Coriander, Salted Veggies ้ ธ่ and Peanuts.
The Gravy is Thick and tastes Sweetish but what is more Prominent is a Deep Presence of Sesame Oil. Really Prominent, this Sesame Oil forms the Main Core Taste of this Gravy giving it a Nice ๆฒน้ฆๅณ. What I especially like is that this Sesame Oil also never tries to overtake the Gravy itself maintaining a Sweet Braised Sesame Oil sort of Flavour.

The ๆตทๅ็ฒ I chose for this looks like a Slightly Thicker ็ฒ็ฑณ็ฒ.
Despite a Small Bowl, I thought the Amount of Noodles feels Filling.
What I like about this Noodle is its Soft Sticky Texture that really lets you ๅคงๅฃๅคงๅฃๅ้ข Non Stop Slurp and Slurp. Together with that Sesame Oil Infused Gravy, this was Very Satisfying to Eat. Even with No Meat within, this Bowl of Noodles still tasted Very Solid and Filling.

Mixed Beef Soup = RM15.00
This was a Big Bowl chock full of Stuffs.
The Soup is exactly the same Soup that was provided with their Noodle.

Of course I dissected it closely which consists of:
7 Cuts of Beef Brisket
5 Larger Cuts of Beef
6 Cuts of Tendon
Over 25 Smaller Slices of Stomach and another Organ that I'm unsure of.

Quality of the Beef Brisket and Cuts of Beef
Soft with a Meaty Texture, I like the Nice Beefy Flavour that is also Not Overly Beefy. Not sure what Cuts these were but they were Slightly More Firmish in Texture with a Decent Meaty Chew.

Quality of the Beef Stomach
Standard Taste, they're in Smaller Cuts although there are Alot of Them.
They act like a Sponge absorbing the Soup Broth for a Juicy Bite. Not Bad.

Quality of the Beef Tendon
Noticeably Softer that Mok Gao's Version, this is almost Melt in Mouth Quality. Nice.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM2.80 (S$0.90) is a Decent Price for this Coffee.
While it isn't Gao Gao or Robust, its still a Relatively Strong Cup that will certainly still wake you up.
At the Price of RM6.00 (S$2.00) is a Reasonable Price to pay for this even though it was just a Bowl of Carbs with No Meat.
I liked the Sesame Oil infused Gravy which when paired with the Soft Texture of the ๆตทๅ็ฒ was very satisfying to eat.
At the Price of RM15.00 (S$4.90) for this Mixed Beef Soup Bowl was also an Acceptable Price because the Amount of Meats and Ingredients was Acceptable for what it was.

When doing a Direct Comparison between ่ซๆ็่้ข Mok Jiu Restaurant and this Hainan Hojiak for their Beef Noodles, they are Very Noticeably Different in their Approach.
I prefer Hainan Hojiak's approach to their Noodles because of the Sesame Oil Infused Gravy and it is really addictive to ๅคงๅฃๅคงๅฃๅ้ข.

Mok Jiu's Soup however tasted More Culinarily Complex with a Unique Garlic Presence that I've never tasted for a Beef Noodles Soup before. Hainan Hojiak's approach to their Soup is more Conventional
Both Eateries are equally good in what they do. What I'm truly surprised is the Different Group of Kids that each place attract. ่ซๆ็่้ข Mok Jiu Restaurant seems to appeal more to Primary School Children, while Hainan Hojiak seems to appeal more to Older Secondary School Children. Just something interesting that I observed.

Hahaha does this mean that Generations of Kulai Folks grow up on these 2 Famous Eateries?
No wonder they are Famous in Kulai! Literally really is ไปๅฐๅๅฐๅคง.
If you are craving for Beef Noodles in Kulai, I can definitely recommend both of them. Heck give them both a try and see which one you prefer. Or if you are like me, BOTH also I enjoyed!
