Kopi-O-Kosong = RM3.60
Mee Hoon Kueh Soup = RM10.50

📋 Here is the Full Menu of the Eatery/Restaurant.

Prices are Accurate as of the Date of the Post.

This is a Very Low Profile Eatery located literally at One Corner of the Basement Food Court Area in Sutera Mall. Its not part of the Food Court however in a Dedicated Partitioned Shoplot. Do take note that they accept Cash Only, there are No Options for Card Payments.

Interior of the Eatery

The Interior is Very Sparsely Furnished and Not a Very Big Place with only at most about 11 Tables in Total. Also not a Particularly Popular Place usually quite 冷清清 as I observed whenever I come to Sutera Mall in the past.

Hahaha for some reason though, there was Significantly Alot More Customers on the Very Day when I wanted to review it.
Not sure how is their Business on Weekends tbh.

Staffed by mostly Malaysian Chinese Folks, they were Polite and mostly keep to themselves. I drew some Curious Stares from them when I was taking Photos of the Place. Ordering of Food is thru a QR Code Menu. It took less than 1 Min for the Kopi, and 5 Mins for the Mee Hoon Kueh. Everything was served up within 5 Mins.

Kopi-O-Kosong = RM3.60

Hahaha this may possibly be the Fastest Timing I ever clocked for a Coffee in JB.
I think this was served up in Less than 30secs.

Acceptable Decent Kopi Aroma, I wouldn't call this Very Robust Gao Gao but its also Not Dilluted. Not Very Strong Coffee Strength but can still wake you up. Decent Kopitiam Level of Kopi-O with a Slight Hint of Bitterness.

Mee Hoon Kueh Soup = RM10.50

I'll be honest I only ordered this because I really don't know what are the Signatures in this Place and this was the Item that is on the Very Top of their Soup Menu Section. Nothing Special about the Presentation, it looks about the Same as you'd expect from a Typical MHK from a SG Kopitiam.

Of course I dissected it closely and the Ingredients consists of:
Mee Hoon Kueh of course
3 Slices of Fishcake
1 Pork Ball
1 Fried Fishball
1 Fishcake Thing
Abit of Minced Pork Bak Chor
Abit of Veggies
Ikan Bilis
Fried onion for garnishing
1 Egg

Quality of the Soup Broth

About the Same as an Average SG-Kopitiam Standard of MHK Soup. Sweetish 清甜 Fish/Pork Based Soup with Slight MSG Added.

Saltish but not Overly So, In fact I feel this Level of Saltiness is Good Enough. There is no need to add any more Soy Sauce if you are someone who is watching your Salt Level.

Quality of the Mee Hoon Kueh

Amount given feels Acceptable and Filling. They are not Super Soft Melt in Mouth but neither are they Doughy or Firm. For some reason, I thought they had a Texture that is not unlike eating Macaroni 通心粉.
Quality of the Rest of the Ingredients

Nothing Special, every single one of them tasted like some Typical Supermarket Product. Nothing tastes like they're Handmade. The "Mani Cai" Veggie is not given for this MHK that I've tasted in other MHK Eateries in JB likely as a Cost Cutting measure. This is a "Office Meal" MHK meant to fill the Tummy, not to Enjoy. 吃得饱, 不是吃得好.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM3.60 (S$1.20), this was an Acceptable Average Price for a Very Basic Kopitiam level of Kopi-O-Kosong.

Not Dilluted, but also Nothing Special. It serves its function to wake you up, but that is all it does and nothing more.

At the Price of RM10.50 (S$3.30) is actually a Decent Price for this Bowl of MHK although it too is Nothing Special.

This is also a Very Basic Average Bowl of MHK cooked using Mostly Supermarket Packaged Ingredients and Nothing in here is Handmade. (Other than the MHK itself which was Decent Acceptable)

The General Vibe of this Place gives me the same feeling like Ramah Ramah that I visited the other time at Midvalley Mall. This Place feels like the "Staff Canteen" of this Mall.

This was especially so when I observed some of the Customers being the Mall's Staffs themselves.
I applaud this Eatery for offering a Decent Price for this MHK at least.
Overall Nothing Amazing about this Eatery, but also Nothing Particularly Wrong. This Place feels more like a Simple 填饱肚子 type of Place more for the Mall's Staffs rather then showcasing any Unique Culinary Signatures. Not worth to specifically come to JB for obviously, this was a Simple and Humble Place to Chill with a Cup of Affordable Acceptable Kopi with some Simple Snacks perhaps but that's about it.
