Mee Goreng Basah (Ayam) = RM10.00

No Service Charges

๐Ÿ“‹ Here is the Full Menu of the Eatery/Restaurant.
Prices are Accurate as of the Date of the Post.

This is probably the Most Obscure Eatery in this Shopping Mall located in a Relatively Remote Section where there are Noticeably Lesser Human Traffic. ๐Ÿค” This place is so Low Profile and ไฝŽ่ฐƒ that someone even has to help them create a Google Maps entry. ๐ŸŒ

And yet as I observed during my 2 Days of Exploration in this Mall, it is quite Popular and Busy during Meal Times. ๐Ÿฝ️๐Ÿค” The Main Reason is as according to some Google reviews, the Prices on the Menu for this Place are possibly the Most Affordable you can find in this Mall. Perhaps due to the Affordable Prices, this Eatery acts like a "Staff Canteen" for the Folks working in this Mall. ๐Ÿค” Of course its also open for the General Public. ๐Ÿ‘

This Eatery opens at 9.00am ๐Ÿ•˜ before the Mall's Official Opening Time of 10.00am serving Breakfast like Economy Noodles ็ปๆตŽ้ข. Their Main Menu is served only from Lunch Hours. ๐Ÿฝ️ Staffs are Quiet and Reserved and Mostly Keep to Themselves. They can speak abit of English but its better if you can converse using at least some Basic Malay.

How to Order your Food:

1) Secure a Seat and then Join the Queue

2) If you're eating Nasi Campur (Malay Cai Fan), just pick whatever you want. ๐Ÿ‘‰

3) If you are ordering Specific Items from their Menu instead, tell the Staff what you want. Remember to indicate "Makan Sini" if you are Dining-In. Pay first and hold on to your Paper Receipt.

4) Wait around nearby for your Food to be served up.

It will be placed on a Nearby Tray Receptacle for you to Self-Service and Collect with your Receipt.
It took about 7 Mins for my Dish to be ready.

Mee Goreng Basah (Ayam) = RM10.00

I ordered this because of some Decent Google Reviews of this Dish. ๐Ÿ‘ Served Piping Hot, the Dish itself feels Decent and Filling at 1st Look. ๐Ÿ‘ Although it calls itself a "Mee Goreng", this is not those Dry Fried until Very Oily type that you'd normally expect, but more like a Tze Char Zhup Zhup Lor Mee type. ๐Ÿค”

The Dish itself consists of:
๐Ÿ Noodles with Gravy
๐Ÿฅฌ Some Pieces of Veggies
๐Ÿ” 9 Small Cuts of Chicken Breast Meat.

Quality of the Gravy

The Zhup they lum for this has a Brown Lor Zhup type of Appearance. ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿค” Tastes Noticeably Sweetish with a Slight Saltish, like a Mix of Oyster Sauce and Kicap Manis. ๐Ÿฆช๐Ÿ˜‹ Not unlike the Type of Gravy you get from a Typical SG Kopitiam Level of Tze Char Mee of this type.

Quality of the Noodles

These were most Definitely from some Package. I liked that they boiled them to a Soft Bite Texture and the Amount given feels Filling and Not Stingy for the Price. ๐Ÿ‘ It does taste Quite Alkaliney and is Completely Dependent on that Sweetish Braised Lor Zhup Gravy for its Main Taste Profile. ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿค” Not Amazing obviously, but Acceptably Decent for a Typical Office Work Meal.

Quality of the Chicken Breast Cuts

Amount given felt Acceptable for the Price and I liked that they are also Decently Thick Cuts, not Stingy Thin Slivers. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘ Clean Tasting, Not Overly Chickeny. They were Meaty but also a Tad Dryish, they were a Welcome Decent Protein Source for this Dish. ๐Ÿ‘

Nothing Special about the Veggies, Soft and Tender, with No Sandy or Slimy. The Amount given was Acceptable. ๐Ÿฅฌ๐Ÿ‘

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM10.00 (S$3.10) for this Plate of Lor Zhup Styled Mee Goreng, ๐Ÿ this is actually considered Non-Mall Food Price that is available in the Shopping Mall. ๐Ÿค” In fact, this Eatery may perhaps be the Most Affordable Place you can eat in this Mall.

The Dish I had actually tasted like an Average Tze-Char Mee Dish that you would expect from a Typical SG Kopitiam. ๐Ÿค” This is a Very Typical "Office lunch" type of Taste that is meant more for filling the Tummy for the Work Day. ๐Ÿฝ️ Not a Culinarily Complex Dish, it is Decently Made and I'm impressed with what is given for the Price. ๐Ÿ‘

Realistically speaking though, despite being the Most Affordable Eatery in this Mall, this is probably not a Place that most Singaporeans coming to this Mall would bother to visit. ๐Ÿ˜… Meant more as an Affordable Meal Option for the Staffs working in this Mall, I am impressed with how Decently Acceptable Tasting it was and ่‰ฏๅฟƒ Not Stingy they were with the Chicken Breast Cuts. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘

Really ่‰ฏๅฟƒ่€ๆฟ for offering such an Affordable, Acceptable Tasting, Not Stingy and Actually Filling Meal for the Working Folks who need it. ๐Ÿฝ️๐Ÿ‘ I don't know if this Eatery will ever read this Post, but Thank you for your Service.
