There are No Menu Available at this Eatery/Restaurant.

This was an Adorable Little WTM Eatery that has been featured by many YouTubers so I thought I marked this for a Visit. Its actually located right next to the Very Instagrammable 聚啡馆 Cafe Jufei which I reviewed previously so you can also treat this place like a shunbian visit too.

The Main Stall Owner is a Very Jolly and Friendly 大姐 and she is as Friendly and Welcoming as she is shown on YouTube Videos about this place. There was an Older Man with her that day with a Noticeable More Stoic Unwelcoming 脸臭臭 sort of Face though but luckily I didn't interact with him.

The Actual Place is a Very Old Kopitiam that has at least a 30 Years History from what I understand from the Friendly 大姐. Its the sort of place that has served Generations of Kulai Folks 从小吃到大 sort of Place.

I thought it was Adorable the Music they played here sounded like some 1960s Old School Mandarin "Cha Cha" Songs. Quite a Popular Place even for the Locals here as I observed too. Anyway it took about 4 Mins for Everything to be served up together.

Kopi O Kosong = RM2.50

Nothing Very Special about this, I thought it was a Fairly Decent Cup of Coffee. Not Super Gao Gao or Robust type but also Not Diluted. Very Standard Kopitiam Level of Kopi-O that does wake you up gently.

WTM (Small, Black Sauce) = RM7.50

Quality of the Soup

Comes with 3 Wantons, the Taste of this Soup is Unique. I think its Fish-Based? Or Cuttlefish? Not Salty at all, it doesn't taste like any MSG is added. This is a Unique Type of Fish-Based Soup that I have not tasted for a WTM Soup. Nice.

The Wantons were the Classic Small Small Type with the Pork Filling within delivering a Quick Intense Shot of Saltiness. Wanton Skin itself is Soft and Smooth but overall a Very Classic Malaysian/Singapore style of Wanton.

Quality of the Wanton Mee

Dissecting the Dish, there were 8 Small Cuts of Charsiew that visually looks like those Dry Dry type. It does taste Dry but also has a Unique Sweet Candy-Like Taste to them. I would describe them as like a Dry Meaty Candy with a Meaty Bite. Acceptable for these type of Dry Red Food Colouring type of Char Siew but also not particularly very special tbh.

Amount of Noodles felt Acceptable for the Price and they were Nicely QQ with a Bouncy Oily Bite.
Nothing Fancy about the Black Sauce, its a Classic Saltish Non-Earthy WTM Soy Sauce Mix.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM2.50 (S$0.80) was an Affordable Price but this is a Standard Kopitiam Level of Kopi.
Not Very Gao Gao but also Not Diluted. It is what it is.

At the Price of RM7.50 (S$2.50) for the Wanton Mee is also Affordable. What I was impressed with this Dish is actually the Soup which was a Unique Fish-Based Broth that I've not tasted for a WTM Soup. The Rest of the Dish Component was Acceptable but also Very Standard Tasting for a WTM of this type.
Still, I enjoyed my time here because of how Friendly the Stall Lady was. She really is as Friendly and Welcoming as portrayed in YouTube Videos taken from this Place. The Older Man with a Noticeably 脸臭臭 Face however I'd avoid if you can. He doesn't look particularly friendly at all.

Don't let my Average Score deter you from this place. If you are here in Kulai, you will most likely be exploring this Old Street 老街 anyways and I can recommend to shunbian give this a try if you are craving for some WTM.
