Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA) Saturday Pasar Malam

Address: Jalan Perkasa 5, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, 81300 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
Google Map Link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/y89aH5CuQMKsNZFcA
Official Opening Hours (Based on Google Maps): Only Available on Saturdays 4.30pm to 10.00pm

According to some Online Sources, this TUTA Pasar Malam can arguably be referred to as Johor Bahru's Biggest One by far. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Because its open only on Saturdays, it is also one of the Busiest ones too. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I have no idea how long it is, but it really is very Big. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Because its so Big, there are Several Ways to access it. If this is your first time here, you can follow my recommendation:

Go to the Main Entrance of this 777 Food Centre

๐Ÿ‘ Look towards the Direction where the Blue Tentages are and you will eventually see the Actual Main Pasar Malam which are also lined with Blue Tentages which is a Distinctive Feature of this Pasar Malam. ⛺

One thing to note though, the Road is NOT Closed to Traffic for this Pasar Malam.
๐Ÿ˜ณ As you can see in my Photo, sometimes there are Cars that actually rode along the Same Road that Pedestrians are walking on. ๐Ÿš—

They drive very slowly but still I thought you need to take note of this and be cautious especially if you have Little Kids along. ๐Ÿค”

Even though Google Maps reports the Pasar Malam opening at 4.30pm, not all the Stalls are ready at that time. In fact the 4.30pm timing is more when the Tentages are being first set-up. I would recommend to visit it from 5.30pm onwards. ๐Ÿ‘
There are no really Best Timing to visit for this one. Because its so Big, even though its Crowded, its never Crowded until ๅกžๅˆฐๆฐดๆณ„ไธ้€š until cannot Walk type of Situation. ๐Ÿ˜…

Booth Owners are Friendly and Polite, No Rowdy Behaviour. ๐Ÿ‘ Overall feels Safe although of course, do take the usual precautions for your belongings especially when it starts getting Crowded.
Because TUTA is considered as a "ๅŽไบบๅŒบ", the Stalls here tends to lean more towards Malaysian Chinese Foods. ๐Ÿค”

There are a Few Malay Food Booths and I didn't see any Indian Food Booths when I was there. There are No Exotic Foods like Insects or Creepy Crawlies although I did see a Couple of Live Snake Demonstration Booths. ๐Ÿ

No Food Stalls particularly caught my eye. Most of the Stalls ๆฅๆฅๅŽปๅŽป are all the Same Things I've seen before in other Pasar Malams. ๐Ÿ˜… I even recognize some of the Stall Owners whom I've seen before in the KSL Monday Pasar Malam. ๐Ÿ˜… It makes sense that they would move across all the Pasar Malams in JB every day of the week.

Prices of the Food Stalls mostly range from RM5.00+ to RM10.00+ onwards and are agar agar close to Regular JB Food Prices with maybe a Slight Mark-Up.

A Sample of Foods that I purchased and the List of Food Stalls I visited:
Prices are Accurate as of the Date of the Post.

Tau Hway (No Sugar, Small, Hot) = RM3.00 (S$0.90)
Herbal Tea Egg = RM2.00 Each (S$0.65)
Muar Fish Otak = 5 Pieces for RM7.00 (S$2.20)
Mulberry Juice (No Sugar) = RM6.00 (S$1.90)

As with other Pasar Malams, there are Various Coffeeshops alongside the Pasar Malam Route. Credits to Restoran Lao Di Fang Kopitiam for hosting me. ๐Ÿ‘

You can ask the Coffeeshop Owner politely and buy a Drink from them to be able to go into them to sit down comfortably and eat your Pasar Malam Foods. Bought a Teh-O-Kosong (Cold) from them for RM2.40 (S$0.80). ☕
