Its been quite awhile since I've had Fried Chicken in JB so I gave this a try as I was walking around Aeon Mall Tebrau City. This is a Fried Chicken Fast Food Outlet, similar to Marybrown, Jollibee or KFC. 🍗 Never seen this franchise elsewhere in JB other than this Mall. 🤔 When I was there at around 11.00pm on a Friday Morning, there weren't much Customers around. Brightly Coloured and Designed as is expected from a Fast Food Place, the Place was Big and Spacious and Cleanly Maintained. 👍
I really liked that the Staffs are Genuinely Friendly and Bubbly and they even greeted and welcomed me right at the Entrance. 😄 This is also the 1st time I had someone at a Fast Food Fried Chicken Place say "Thank you please come again" to me when I left the place. Impressive. 👍 I chose their Basic 2 Piece Combo which included a Small Tub of Mash Potato and Coleslaw and a Small Cup of Drink.
Unlimited Free Refills of Drink and a Slight Initial Goof Up. 🥤
The thing that really stands out for me in this place is that their Soft Drinks are Unlimited Free Flow from their Drink Dispenser. Such a Rarity in Today's Fast Food Outlets. 😳
For people who are watching your Sugar Intake, you'll be glad to know they do have 1 Sugar-Free Option. I think its a "Pepsi Black"? 🤔 But I cannot 100% be sure since the Logo didn't specifically write that.
There was abit of an initial Goof Up though as when I first collected the Drink, the Machine only dispensed Carbonated Water. 😅
Perhaps the Staffs noticed when I was having trouble, it was swiftly rectified by them without me needing to remind them. 👍
While I still can't confirm if this is Pepsi Black, to me it does taste like a Typical Zero-Sugar Carbonated Soft Drink.

You have a Choice of either Original or Spicy and I chose 1 of each to try. 🍗 I don't know if I was lucky or not but the pieces they gave me that day were Huge! 😳 Not counting the Large Breast Piece that I got, I thought even their Drummy was Noticeably Larger and Meaty compared to alot of other Fried Chicken Outlets and it is not because its Padded by its Outer Batter. It really is Meaty. 😋
Original Fried Chicken
Batter and Skin is the Thickish Type, not unlike our Singapore KFC's Crispy Version, although I feel less Flour is used. There is a Very Nice Saltish Seasoning Aroma that permeates the Whole Chicken when it was served up. 😋 This Seasoning smells and tastes somewhat like some Instant Noodle Seasoning Pack that I think i've eaten before and not in a Bad Way. 😋
Like I mentioned, this was a Huge Big Fat Meaty Piece I got and even though it was Breast Meat, the Meat was so Juicy to the Bite. 😋 Not Freshly off the Fryer “Bite until it Squirts" type but definitely alot Juicier than I expected. 👍 Not Overly Oily, this Fried Chicken does not drip oil all over the place. 👍 Also not overly Salty, and Not Overly Chickeney, the Salted Seasoning they used remained throughout the Fried Chicken and never overstayed its welcome. This is a Fried Chicken that definitely punches above its Weight Level. 👍 Very Decent Tasting. Personally, I feel this does not lose to the Bigger Named Franchises out there.
Spicy Fried Chicken
I got a Chicken Drummy for the Spicy Version and although normally people don't like Drummy or Wings because they're considered Smaller Cuts, I am impressed with how Meaty this Drummy was. 😋
It uses the Same Salted Seasoning Base as their Original, but this time there is a Slight Hit of Spiciness. 🌶️ Its not our SG McSpicy type of Spicy, 😅 but is much more Mild and eases you in comfortably instead of trying to slap you in the face. Not Bad Tasting, I feel both versions are worth a try. 👍
Sides: Mashed Potato and Coleslaw
For Sides, you can actually have a Choice of either Fried Rice or Mash Potato/Coleslaw Combo and of course I chose the Latter. Nothing really out of the Ordinary, the Mashed Potato has a Similar Taste Profile to most other Fast Food offerings. Decent and Acceptable. 👍 I thought the Brown Sauce felt Slightly Thicker and Viscous. if you enjoy KFC type of Mashed Potato, you'll probably have no issues with this one too.
Coleslaw was also Very Standard and Acceptable and didn't have any Raw Veggie Taste. I actually prefer this one because I thought it has a Slightly More Veggie Sweetness with Bigger Pieces of Veggies to crunch compared to SG KFC version which is usually Diced into Small Bits. Again, if you are ok with KFC type of Coleslaw, again, you'll probably have no issues with this too. 👍

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At a Total Combined Price of RM20.95 (S$6.32) for a Standard 2-Piece Chicken Meal, this is actually much more affordable and Value for Money when compared to KFC's 2-Piece Meal at S$10.90 especially when this place offers Unlimited Free Drink Refills. 🥤 Truth be told, I did not have any High Expectations when I first stepped into this place, but many things they did here just impressed me very much. 👍
The Quality of Fried Chicken is Surprisingly Decent and actually Noticeably Big, Fat, Meaty and Juicy. 😋 Maybe I was lucky that day, but the Pieces I got were really Damn Big and Solid. 😄 It was a Very Satisfying Meal and I never felt that sort of Oily Jelak that you normally feel after eating Fried Chicken. What impressed me even more were the Staffs who were really Bubbly, Friendly and Welcoming. 😄 Never have I ever entered a Fast Food Fried Chicken Establishment with anyone greeting me as I entered or left the place.
Even though there was an Initial Goof Up with the Drink Dispenser, I was happy that it was rectified quickly without me reminding them. 👍 To me, this tells me that the Staffs are observant and quick to rectify issues. This was definitely a High Point for me. If you are in Aeon Mall Tebrau City and craving for some Fried Chicken, I can definitely recommend this place to give it a try.
