As of this Post, this place has over 2100 reviews on Google Maps with Full 5 stars. 😳 This is a Taiwanese-Inspired Desserts Cafe specializing in Waffles and Ice-Cream. 🧇🍨 Air-Conditioned, Nice and Comfortable and I was very surprised that it was Very Popular and Crowded (Although not Full-House) even on a Monday Afternoon! 😳
As I stepped into the place, I was Very Warmly Welcomed by the Very Friendly, Very Enthusiastic Staffs here. 😄 Friendly does not even begin to describe the Warmth that I felt here. This Place really exudes a Very Happy Friendly Vibe because of how Warm the Staffs were. 😄 The Background Music they play is some Modern Smooth, and Very Groovy Japanese Koto Instrumentals. 🎵🎶
As you can see from my Photo, they're dressed in a Very Beautiful and Adorable Looking Korean Hanbok-Inspired Costume 👘 and really displayed a sort of Genuine Friendliness that I have yet to see so far for an Eatery in JB. 😳
Just look at that Beautiful Radiant Smile from the Lady in the Photo. Not even HDL Staffs show such Joy in their Behaviour. 😄
I don't know if they are Local Malaysian Chinese, but they are Very Well-Articulated and have a Very Polite, Very Gentle Accent (especially for 1 of the Young Chap) more akin to a Taiwanese Accent. 🤔
How to Order your Food
Ordering of Food is thru an Online PDF Menu that is accesible via a QR Code. This Online Menu is focused more on the Specialized Waffles that they have. 📃 If you have any enquries about any of the items they sell here, the Staffs are Super Super Enthusistic in explaining and describing everything for you. 😄
Once you've selected what you want, go to the Counter to make your order and make your payment. Then go back to your Seat and just wait for them to be served up. It took about 10 Mins for everything to be served up together. Not Bad Timing considering the Number of Customers when I was there. 👍

Served in a Small Cup, the Coffee looks Diluted but no joke this is Actually Quite Strong. ☕ Noticeably Stronger than Regular Americanos that I've drank in the Past. I would describe this as having a Deep and Smooth Bitter Tone. Nice Coffee. 👍

This Waffle Set is actually part of a Series of Waffles they have inspired from Several Different Countries. 🌏 I chose this one because this is what they recommended as their Most Popular One and also because this Cafe is Taiwanese-Themed anyway. 🇹🇼 Beautifully Presented, its 1 Thick Belgian Waffle cut into 4 Quarters 🧇 with a Side of Cookie Crumbs and Pineapple Pieces 🍍 topped off with a Solid Ball of Honey Gelato Scoop. 🍯🍦
The Scoop of Honey Gelato is Definitely Vanilla Based with a Very Subtle Presence of Honey. 🍯 The Vanilla Taste is quite Mild but its there and the Honey is Not Overpowering and is more of a Tease. This tastes quite Good as both Flavours didn't try to fight for my Attention but rather eases me slowly. 😋 This is not some Cheapo Supermarket Ice-Cream is what I'm saying. Pretty sure this is Homemade In-House. 🍦 Really Smooth and I despite Honey being one of the Flavour, its Not Overly Sweet. 👍
The Waffle has a Very Appetizing Buttery Aroma. 🧇 Apparently is supposed to taste like Taiwan's 葱油饼 but I don't taste it at all. 😅 The Taste is still unmistakebly still how a Regular Waffle tastes like. 🧇 Outside Crispy and Inside Fluffy. Very Decent Tasting Waffle, but don't expect it to really taste like Taiwan 葱油饼.
The Cookie Bits and Pineapples are my Favourite Component of this Dish. 😋 The Cookie Bits are Sweet and Crumbly. I loved how they take the time to Torch and Caramelize the Pineapple Pieces and they taste Really Sweet with No Siap Siap Taste at all. 🔥🍍 When eating both Cookie Bits and Pineapple together, I thought they tasted like Taiwan 凤梨酥 (Taiwanese Pineapple Cakes) Among the Components in the Dish, THIS is the one that I feel represents Taiwan the most. 🇹🇼 I thought it was Very Smart of them to use this method to represent 凤梨酥. 👍
One Thing to note, I feel this Waffle Set is Quite Large and because I had eaten quite alot before I came here, it took quite awhile for me to finish it. 😅 If you are ordering this, I would recommend to share this with another person.
Adorable Lucky Draw System
In addition to just serving Desserts, this Cafe also has a Very Playful Element to it. 😄 Every Customer will be entitled to a Lucky Draw and I thought it was Super Adorable that the way they do this is machiam like picking Fortune Sticks from a Container which also sort of represents Taiwan's 宫庙 Culture. 🇹🇼
So the system is very Simple. Just tell them what Chinese Zodiac you are and if you manage to draw the Same Zodiac Animal, you get to win a Small Prize. 🎁 Now in addition to the 12 Chinese Animal Zodiacs, there is also 1 Additional Bonus Cat Zodiac 🐱 which is their Bonus Special Prize. If you manage to get the Cat, you will be given a RM8.00 Voucher for your Next Visit and More Adorably, you can get any of the Staffs to Dance or Sing a Song for you! 🕺🎤
And I kid you not, I actually managed to draw this Special Bonus Cat Prize! 🐱😅 The Cash Voucher is what you see in the Photo. I gave it away to a Couple of Young Chaps next to my Table because they seem to enjoy this place very much.
As for the Dance and Song Request, I thought it would be wierd for them to dance and sing to an Uncle like me, 😅 so I offered this to a Couple of Young Ladies at another Table because I could tell they were pretty enamoured with the Yandao Male Staff. 😘 It was Adorable to see Young People Playfully Flirting with each other like this. 😄
Why did this Place get my Highest Score?Easy Answer, it was the Staffs. 👍 Especially the 3 Serving Staffs in this Location, Friendly doesn't even begin to describe them. 😄 The Happiness and Joy they exhibited here felt Genuine and they actually really seemed to enjoy themselves here. The 3 Main Serving Staffs (1 Lady and 2 Guys in particular were the Friendlest. The Lady had such a Sweet Bubbly Joyful Personality. 😄
Everything they did was so Customer Service Oriented. 👍 Take for example, I didn't have Mobile Data and couldn't access their Online QR Menu. This place also didn't have WIFI, but the Lady Staff that attended to me were so accomodating she actually turned on her own Mobile Phone's Hotpot for me to connect to it. 😳 I have never seen this level of Service, not even in JB HDL.
The 2 Young Lads were Yandao and Good Looking "小鲜肉" types. 😄 One of them I thought actually had a Good Singing Voice with Some Slick Dance Moves. 🎤🕺 It was Very Obvious that a Couple of Female Customers were quite Enamoured with him which was why I let them have the chance to get him to perform for them. 😘

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
RM11.00 (S$3.40) for the Cup of Americano, no doubt this is Expensive. 🤔 But then again this is a Cafe after all. I thought it tasted alright as an Americano, Not Amazing, but Alright.
RM29.00 (S$8.80) for the Taiwan Waffle Set is Certainly Not Cheap, 🧇 but if compared to a Similar Offering with a Cafe in Singapore, I think its More Affordable? I can't remember. It has been ages since I've eaten a Waffle Gelato Set in Singapore. 🧇🍦The Waffle was Nice but Nothing Special, although I did enjoy the Gelato. I loved the Cookie Bits and Pineapple Component of the Dish because I felt this one was Well-Thought Out and Designed to taste like Classic 凤梨酥 to represent Taiwan. 🇹🇼
The Main Appeal of this Place is how Joyous and Happy this place legit made me feel. 😄 Although it is definitely geared and catered more of a Young People Place, I never felt out of place here and the Genuine Friendliness of the Staffs here was A Brand New Level of Customer Service that I have yet to encounter in JB. ❤️ Not even JB HDL Customer Service even comes close to this.
Wadi Hana is not exactly a Famous Place, but to be able to see so many Customers come to this place Monday Afternoon was a real testament on how good this place was. 👍 Totally Understand why this Place is so Highly Rated on Google Maps. Full 5 Stars on Over 2100 Reviews is No Joke, but this Place deserves the High Rating it got. ⭐
I entered this place with Zero Expectations and left it with High Spirits and a Happy Mood. 😄 I don't know about you, but this is definitely Top Score Material in my Books. Highly Recommended! 👍
