JB Trip Preview: Taman Nong Chik

Hey Everyone, Apologies for the Late Post! ๐Ÿ™
My 1st Visit to JB in 2026 brings me to a Brand New Location: Taman Nong Chik, also known as Kampung Nong Chik. ๐Ÿ›– Despite the name, it has not been a Traditional Kampung since 1958 based on Wikipedia. ๐Ÿค”

Not a Very Well Known Suburb to Most Singaporeans I reckon. Indeed it's a Relatively Quiet Peaceful Neighborhood and I don't see any Singapore Cars even on a Saturday.
๐Ÿš—๐Ÿค” Definitely not Crowded or Touristy, it is Perfect for a Relaxing Weekend Exploration of JB of course. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

One thing I noticed though, there seems to be alot of People Jogging today on the Roads from Morning till Night as I observed. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ‍♀️ Never seen this before in other JB Taman Neighbourhoods. ๐Ÿค” Are Taman Nong Chik Folks more Health / Fitness Conscious? ๐Ÿ˜… or was it some Special Sporting Event?  ๐Ÿค”

As for Foods, alot of it were Recommendations from my Friend Amelia. ๐Ÿ˜„ One of which is apparently a Very Famous Eatery known as WW Laksa. ๐Ÿœ According to her Vivid and Candid Description, JB Locals here know it more as "Big Boob Laksa". ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ˜ณ Yes, I know right? ๐Ÿ˜…

According to her: "The Nickname in Teochew Dialect was Chap Liap Nee Laksa (10 Boobs Laksa) ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ˜… The Mother, her 3 Daughters + 1 Indon Helper all 5 of them all got Big Boobs. Especially the Mother like to wear Low Cut show her Longkang (Cleavage)" ๐Ÿ˜…

Wow huh? Hahaha how is the Laksa though? ไธ€ๅฅ่ฏ: Indeed ๅฅฝๅƒ. ๐Ÿ˜‹ And no, I was not swayed by anything else I promise! Hahaha! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ˜…

Another Famous Eatery here is "Ashhryshoshedap" and no I did not type wrongly, this is how it's actually written. ๐Ÿ˜… Its meant to represent someone slurring and trying to say "Actually So Sedap" so cute right? ❤️

This Eatery went Viral when featured by a Famous Malaysian Foodie Tiktoker Jason Chen. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ You know that Young Lad that does that Funny Little Dance with his Hands and Legs on TikTok with a Catchphrase "Something Something Puiii"? ๐Ÿ˜… Yea that Lad. This is his TikTok Video of this Eatery: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS5qSVhJh/

How does it fare for me? I have some Opinions about it. ๐Ÿค” Do stay tuned for my Future Review to find out! ๐Ÿ˜„ And of course many more! Below are the Complete List of Eateries I visited if you are interested to know. ๐Ÿ‘

And here is a Sneak Peak of all the Other Dishes I ate Today!

So today JB E-Gate had some Technical Issues and caused some Massive Jams. ๐Ÿ› ️  I wasn't affected at 7.00am when I crossed actually as you can see, although I had to come back on the Next Day for all the Tailback Crowd to clear. ๐Ÿค” Regardless if there is an E-Gate Technical Issue or not, ALWAYS Go Early to JB on Weekends. If you're not at JB CIQ by 7.00am, you're doing it wrong. ๐Ÿ˜…

Due to the JB E-Gate Technical Issue today causing Massive Jams ๐Ÿค” and in light of the situation,
I've decided to cancel my Tomorrow's Planned Sunday JB Trip. Hopefully there won't be another E-Gate Issue in my Next Jan 2026 Trip on 24-Jan and 25-Jan! ๐Ÿ˜…

And so this ends my Exploration of Taman Nong Chik. ๐Ÿ‘
Tune in to 12-Jan (Monday) for the Final Week of the KL / Klang Food Reviews!

And of course as always: Queue? What Queue? ๐Ÿ˜„

  1. Hi Ryan, good morning. Sure boh it's the WW laksa nice or something else? hahahaha. Now daughter took over not as good as during the mother era. The mother last time sibeh geng type, always dress well even thou she the one cooking the noodle. Some name them tua liap nee laksa. Wander due to they ate too much laksa? hahahaha... Last time si ham not expensive so it's included. Now si ham so expensive want to eat laksa have either have to add on with extra charges or they give miserable 3 to 5 si ham. Ang laksa is related to them, so the laska paste supply by WW laska.
Nong Chik is very near to Merdeka Park, so usually alot will walk or jog to Merdeka park or hutan bandar. Both park weekend got free aerobic sponser by town council. Sometimes I go to this 2 parks during weekend.

Other posts not yet read, just glance thru first cos I now super busy. Doing cookies marathon, will be donating 80 to 100 canisters of assorted homemade cookies to Hsing Ma Si temple at Taman Sutera for charity sales on the 31st Jan and 1st Feb. Baking pineapple tarts, butter cookies, fried arrowroot chips, peanut cookies.

Continue later. Have a nice day.

    1. Good Morning! Nice to hear from you again in the New Year. ๐Ÿ˜„ Ok leh I feel this WW Laksa is nice. The Sambal was Haebee based Sambal with a Haebee grittiness and this "Dark Soy Sauce Saltiness" what I like. ๐ŸŒถ️๐Ÿ˜‹ I feel the Laksa broth itself was Rich and Creamy, not Diluted at least. I can't show you the Pic here but I got 11 pieces of Sihum, and they were Fresh and Fat. ๐Ÿฆช๐Ÿ˜‹ I'm surprise u say Ang Laksa is related to them. I feel they tasted different and I prefer this WW Laksa tbh. Maybe that day was a good day ba? ๐Ÿ˜… The only issue I have is how "Militaristic and Orderly" the Front Young Lady Cashier was without a Single Smile. ๐Ÿค”

Ah no wonder so many joggers. CNY coming soon. Good lah do good deeds for the new year ๐Ÿ‘
