This was another Eatery that came up often when I was searching for Non-BKT Places to eat in Klang. Well Reviewed in many Food Blogs, I thought I'd give it a try. ๐Ÿ‘
The Actual Restoran is a Large Non-Airconditioned Tze Char Place that interesting looks like a Cross Mix between a Classic Kopitiam and a Traditional Chinese ้…’ๆฅผ. ๐Ÿค” From the General Vibe, this place felt like an Old Place that has been around for Many Years already. This was especially so when the Type of Music they played here were those 1950s? "ๆž—้ป›" ๆ—งๆƒ…็ปต็ปต Crooning Type of Classic ่€ๆญŒ. ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ

It was a Scorching Afternoon ๐ŸŒž when I visited so it was Warm and Humid, ๐Ÿฅต but the Strong Airy Fans in this place helped tremendously. ๐ŸŒฌ️ What I was most impressed was that the Place was actually rather Crowded with Customers even at a Off-Lunch Hour at 2.40pm on a Weekday as you can see! ๐Ÿ˜ณ
I was even more impressed with the Staffs here. ๐Ÿ˜„ As soon as I stepped into the Restoran, I was immediately and Very Warmly Welcomed by a Very Excited and Friendly Young Lad with the Biggest Joyous Smile! ๐Ÿ˜„ From the way he was dressed, I reckon he is probably either the Head Chef or a Boss/Manager Level. ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿณ The Rest of the Foreign Myanmar Staffs were also Polite and Friendly, no issues at all.

One thing I really like about this place is how Solo Friendly it was. ๐Ÿ‘ They have Dedicated Solo Sizes for many of their Dishes as you can see in the Menu. ๐Ÿ“œ
Again I was impressed when they served up all Dishes together within 3 Mins even when I did not specifically request for it. Very Impressive. ๐Ÿ‘

Quality of the Condiments

๐ŸŒถ️ Left Chilli
This tasted like the type of Chilli you'd normally find in Chicken Rice ๐Ÿ” but Slightly More Robust with a Noticeable Additional Layer of Sweetness. ๐ŸŒถ️๐Ÿค” Spiciness is Elevated and will kiss your Tongue abit. Not Bad Chilli.

๐ŸŒถ️ Middle Chilli
The Initial Taste of this one was a Minced Raw Chilli with a Almost Sour but not Sour type of Hit. ๐ŸŒถ️๐Ÿ‹‍๐ŸŸฉ Noticeably Spicier, but also never bites hard although the Spiciness does linger awhile on the Tongue. Nice Chilli.

๐Ÿฏ Black Sauce
Not just a Simple Sweet Black Sauce, I thought this one had a Sweet Salty Note to it. ๐Ÿค” Probably a Good Brand type of Black Sauce.

๐Ÿฒ Pork Belly Pepper Soup = RM4.00

This Dish visually did not look very Impressive. ๐Ÿค” Amount of Soup is about 1 Small Bowl's Worth and you get 7 Slices of Pork Stomach Slices within. ๐Ÿท
When I tasted it however, I was immediately impressed. ๐Ÿ‘ Because the 1st Thing that came to my Mind was that this actually tasted like Singapore Teochew Styled Peppery BKT Soup! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿฒ

This Soup has a Solid Robust Porky Base, not at all Diluted. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘ Pepperiness is Elevated and the Heat it contributes really adds alot to the SG-Styled BKT Feel. ๐Ÿค” I'm really not kidding about this. If they were to add Pork Ribs into this, this is Basically Indistinguishable from Authentic SG-Styled Teochew BKT. ๐Ÿ˜…
The Pork Stomach were Soft and Tender, tasted Clean and Not Rubbery. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘ 7 Slices felt Acceptable for the Price they're asking. Oh this is Good. ๐Ÿ˜‹

๐Ÿท Famous Paikut Spare Ribs King (1 Piece) =  RM8.00

This is One of the Main Signatures of this Place, literal ๆ‹›็‰Œ่œ in their Main Signboard and is the Dish that is referred to most in Food Blogs. ๐Ÿค” Again I'm impressed that they even have Solo Version of it. For the Price, you get 5 Cuts. Again, Visually doesn't look Impressive because of its Small Size, and once again don't judge it by its look. ๐Ÿค”

It had Soft Crisp followed immediately by an Intense Level of Caramelized Honey Sweetness. ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿ˜‹ The Outer Skin has a Wok Hei Slight Smokey Flavour ๐Ÿ”ฅ and the Meat itself is Soft and Tender and Not Overly Porky at all. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ˜‹
Because of the Sweetness I mentioned, this also Almost Taste like a Char Siew too. ๐Ÿ˜… Hahaha, I would even describe this as a "Char Siew Paikut". ๐Ÿ˜… Totally understand why this is so Raved. Its the Sauce here that really makes everything Bloom Beautifully. ๐Ÿ˜‹ As I swallow it, this Sauce even "Tingles" in my Throat if it makes any sense.

๐Ÿง† Peng Heong Hakka Meatball (2 Pieces) RM2.00 each

This is the Next Signature of this Place. Especially Highly Raved, Popular and Mentioned Alot by Google Reviewers. ๐Ÿค” Once again, Visually Unimpressive, (Hahaha, Do you start to see a Pattern for the Dishes here?) ๐Ÿ˜… it looks like an Ugly Ball. Supposed to be Hakka-Styled apparently.

Bite Texture for this is Abit Soft, sort of like Biting into a Malay Bergedil. ๐Ÿค” The Inner Filling has this Soft Soft almost "Powdery-like" Texture with what I would describe as a "Sweet Meatiness". ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿค” Having said that, there is also a Noticeable Amount of Doughiness and Oiliness. ๐Ÿค”

I reckon this Filling is made using Minced Meat with Flour, ๐Ÿค” which is an Interesting Culinary Technique, but not really a Taste I enjoy because this type of Technique although Old School, ๅƒๅพ—ๅ‡บๆฅ the Presence of Flour is added to bulk up in an attempt to Scrimp. ๐Ÿค” Very ๅคๆ—ฉๅ‘ณ type of Meatball Taste that I am personally not a Fan of, although I can understand someone liking this more if this is something they've eaten since Childhood.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM4.00 (S$1.30) is an Affordable Price although it is really a Small Bowl of Soup. ๐Ÿฅฃ 7 Slices of Pork Stomach for this Price feels ok.
Hahaha what I was more surprising to me was how this Tasted. ๐Ÿค” I had not expected to taste BKT in this Restoran, and yet here I am tasting SG-Styled BKT! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ˜…

Like I mentioned in the Main Review, if they were to add Pork Ribs into this, this is Basically Indistinguishable from Authentic SG-Styled Teochew BKT! ๐Ÿ˜… Hahaha Klang ah Klang, I just can't escape from BKT, even though its our SG-Styled Version! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ˜…

At the Price of RM8.00 (S$2.50) feels Affordable for their Paikut for the Amount of Meat given although its a Small Size. Visually Un-Impressive, its really the Taste that stands out. ๐Ÿค”

This had a Nice Caramelized Honey Sweetness to it, ๐Ÿฏ I would describe this more like a "Char Siew Paikut" ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ˜‹ The Soul of this Dish is really the Beautiful Sauce they used. ๐Ÿ‘ I understand why this is Highly Raved. Delicious and Meaty, this would be Perfect to ไธ‹้ฅญ with. ๐Ÿš

At the Price of RM2.00 (S$0.70) each for their Hakka Meatball ๐Ÿง† again is a Reasonable Price for what it is, but this is the Dish that I'm not really a Fan of. ๐Ÿค”
There is nothing wrong with the Dish, I'm just not a Fan of the Doughiness which is not a Taste I like for Meatballs. ๐Ÿค” Having said that, I also totally get that this has a ๅคๆ—ฉๅ‘ณ taste to it. On that Point, I feel alot of People now treat this term "ๅคๆ—ฉๅ‘ณ" very loosely thinking that something would sure taste good if it has this label. ๐Ÿค”

Well it is that, but "ๅคๆ—ฉๅ‘ณ" could also refer to an Older Out-of-Date Culinary Technique which is the Doughiness that I tasted. ๐Ÿค” I totally get the need to use Dough as a "Padding" to cut cost, but this is a Culinary Technique that is seldom used nowadays because this Doughiness doesn't actually enhance the Dish IMO but instead ๅƒๅพ—ๅ‡บๆฅ the Obvious Attempt to Scrimp. ๐Ÿค”

From what I see from the Many Google Reviews of this Place, there are many people who praised this Dish. ๐Ÿค” I must emphasize that I do not hate this Dish if this is how its traditionally supposed to be made, but like I said this is not a Taste I prefer for my Meatballs. ๐Ÿง†๐Ÿค” If you are someone who has grown up and enjoyed eating Meatballs using this type of Old-School Technique, don't let my Opinion stop you.

As for this Eatery, I am personally impressed with alot of things. ๐Ÿ‘ The Prices they are charging feels Reasonable. Heck if you were to combine the Total Cost of Everything I ordered here, its just RM14.00 (S$4.30) in total. Really ๅˆ็†ๅƒน้Œข for what they are. ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ‘ Very Solo Friendly too I might add.

Culinarily, I have no issues with the Dishes. While not Visually Impressive, their Focus is more on the Taste. ๐Ÿ˜‹ This is not some Simple Lazy Slapped Together Job. ๐Ÿ‘ The Chef or Team that designed the Dishes knows what they are doing. The Most Surprising Thing though was tasting a SG-Teochew Styled BKT Soup for a Dish that is never even meant to be a BKT! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ˜…

What impressed me most was that Very Friendly and Welcoming Young Lad Manager/Boss ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿณ who made me feel so Welcome right from the Moment I stepped into the Place. ๐Ÿ˜„ He just have this Very ๅผ€ๅฟƒๆžœ Type of Good Vibe that I immediately liked. ๐Ÿ‘ After the Meal, I personally went up to Compliment and give him a Thumbs Up ๐Ÿ‘ and he Adorably even Bowed 90 Degrees to me in Appreciation. ๐Ÿ™‡‍♂️ Wah Hahaha! I only ate S$4.30 worth of Food and yet got a Respectful 90 Degrees Angle Saikeirei-Level of Ojigi (ๆœ€ๆ•ฌ็คผ ใŠ่พžๅ„€) Japanese Bow in return! ๐Ÿ™‡‍♂️๐Ÿ˜… Win Liao Lor!

Jokes aside though, with all the Value for Money Affordability and Quality I'm getting ๐Ÿ‘ and this Amazing Level of Friendly Welcoming Service from this Manager/Boss, ๐Ÿ˜„ how can I not give my Highest Top Score for this Place? ⭐ Highly Recommended!
