Shifting Focus from Yesterday's Visit to Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, today's JB Trip brings me to a Completely Different and Brand New Location that I've never visited before: Taman Molek
Interestingly, this Area was formerly the site of the Main Transmitting Station of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the Far East before it was relocated to Singapore. ๐ค Source: Wikipedia. From what I notice as I explored, this Suburb is a Mostly Gated Residential Area. ๐ก Yet another Quiet Peaceful Neighbourhood on a Weekend as I don't see any Singapore Cars around the Area. ๐
Credits to Amelia once again for her Recommendations of some for the Eateries and Restorans that I visited. Despite being a Quiet Neighbourhood, there are a Few Interesting Highlights. ๐ First up is ้้ฃๆจ Hop Sing Chinese Restaurant which is uniquely situated in a Golf Course Club. ⛳ Admittedly it isn't quite located in Taman Molek.
The Highlight here is a RM10.00 (RM10.60 incl Taxes) Teochew Porridge Lunch Promotion. ๐ For this price, you get a Bowl of Porridge and 10 Different Side-Dishes of your Choice. ๐ Portion is not alot but they do include Selar Fish as part of the Choices. ๐ The Cutest Part is that they allow you to choose 10 of the Same Side-Dish. ๐ค So if you really want to eat your money's worth, you can go ahead and order 10 Selar Fishes ๐ and watch as you grow Whiskers and transform into a Meow! ๐ฑ๐ Hahaha!
Jokes aside, if you set your expectations about the Quality and Portion given, this is a Pretty Filling Meal at an Unbeatable Price of RM10.60 (S$3.50) which is a Price that you may not even get for 1 Packet of Cai Fan in Singapore. ๐ต๐ While this Lunch Promotion has been going on for awhile as I see on Google Reviews, I don't know how long it will last, so do take advantage of it as soon as you can. ๐ Mai Gong Bo Jio ok?
Next up, ๅๆฅ Jire Bakery (What an Appropriate Name for CNY) ๐ went Viral for their Chicken Floss Cakes so I thought I'd give them a try. OMG YASS!!! ❤️ You know the Classic Meat Floss Buns? Now imagine instead of Buns they use Cakes instead. OMG this is so good and is a Must-Try if you are here in Taman Molek! ๐ฐ❤️
Ending the Day with a Visit to Nasi Lemak Anggerik. ๐ This is a Nasi Lemak Food Truck that operates only in the Evenings located along the Side of a Road. ๐ Even when walking to this place, I could smell the Delicious Aroma of Ayam Goreng in the Air. Jitao ๆตๅฃๆฐด ๐คค
Really Rustic and Popular with the Local Folks as you can see, ๐ this is the Sort of Classic Roadside Food Places that I LOVE about Malaysia that just simply cannot be found in Singapore. ❤️๐ฒ๐พ Definitely do not miss out this Place!
