As I was exploring around Taman Daya, I came across this Interesting Eatery selling Singapore Hokkien Prawn Noodles. 🦐🤔 The Actual Place is relatively Large and sells a Couple of other Dishes too. Although not a Particularly Popular Place on a Saturday, there were still a Few Customers within. Staffs are Polite and mostly keep to themselves. It took about 4 Mins for the Dish to be served up.

The Chilli Condiment is not bad. 🌶️ Elevated Spicy with Haebee Chunks and a Deep Spicy sort of Presence. 👍 A Tad Salty but overall is not a bad Chilli for Hokkien Prawn Mee.
🦐 A1 Signature Fried Prawn Mee (Small) = RM11.00
I'll be honest, this didn't look impressive when it was served up. 卖相不美 😅 Small Plate with a Noticeable Dull Yellow Appearance. At first look the Amount of Egg Pieces given looks Decent though. 🍳
The Dish comes with:
🦐 2 Prawns
🐟 6 Fishcake Slices
🦑 3 Small Sotong Pieces
🍜 Noodles of course

The 2 Prawns were Average in Size. Top Digestive Tract is not Cleaned off properly. 🦐🤔 The Prawn itself is Slight Firmish in Texture although not Bouncy or Nua Nua, Decently Sweetish and Not Overly Prawny. Overall Average and Acceptable. 🤔

Instead of Pork Belly, Standard Supermarket Level Processed Fishcakes are given. 🤔 Nothing Special about them, they're sliced thinly and taste about how you expect them to taste.
As for the Sotong, hahaha of all the things to copy Singapore, they certainly copied the Stingy Amount given for this Sotong very Accurately! 🦑😅 Not a Fan of this Overly Soft Nua Nua Texture, doesn't taste Fresh. Likely a Re-Thawed Item.

The Amount of Noodles feels ok for the Price although they're almost certainly taken from some Package. 🤔 The Gravy does somewhat resemble Singapore Hokkien Prawn Mee style, Slightly Sweetish with a Faint Level of Prawn Flavour. 🦐
What threw me off was the Noodle Texture actually. 🍜🤔 Now the Yellow Noodles was fine, but the other Transluscent Noodle didn't taste right. 🤔 For me, it was Too Overly soft which isn't the Correct Texture. I wished they swapped this out and use Beehoon instead which will probably work better. 🤔

When the Chilli and Lime are squeezed in, the Taste is Significantly Improved and added a Layer of Slight Spicy Sweetness. 🌶️ The Added Spicy Heat made everything light up although that Transluscent Noodle still disrupted the Overall Flow. 🤔 Its not like its now Super Amazing or anything, but it inches Closer to how the Real Thing tastes like. 😅

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM11.00 (S$3.40) isn't Really Super Affordable for this Plate of SG-Styled Hokkien Prawn Noodles. Its basically Mostly a Plate of Carbs with Processed Fishcakes with 2 Prawns. 🤔 I haven't been eating alot of SG-Styled Hokkien Prawn Mee in JB tbh, but I feel this one comes closest in imitating the taste. 🤔
At the Very Least their Chilli is not bad and fits well enough. 🌶️👍 What derailed the Dish for me was the Incorrect Texture of one of the Noodle they used. 🍜🤔 Otherwise this would pass as a Slightly Below Average Kopitiam Level of SG-Styled Hokkien Prawn Noodles.

Commendable Effort, but I don't feel its worth the Time and Money to specifically come to JB to eat this, 😅 I feel this is meant more for Ex-Singaporeans who have Retired and Living in JB to get abit of SG-Taste to 回味 as long as they keep their Expectations in Check that this is a Tad Below SG-Kopitiam Average Level. 🤔
