This is one of the more Famous Nasi Lemak in KL. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ What I really like about this is the location its in, which looked like some Food Street as you can see in the Photo. ๐Ÿ“ท Even if you are not eating in this Restoran, this Food Street itself is worth a Visit. ๐Ÿ‘

The Restoran comprise of a Huge Dining Hall that is Cleanly Maintained. ๐Ÿ‘ It wasn't crowded when I was there at 2.47pm on a Tuesday Afternoon. The Staffs are Friendly, Polite and Mostly Keep to Themselves. They can speak abit of English although of course Basic Malay would be helpful. ๐Ÿ‘

That said, although the Main Dining Hall Eating Area is Big with Fans Installed, even with Lesser Customers, the Whole Place still felt Noticeably Warm and Humid. ๐ŸŒฌ️๐Ÿฅต

Protip for a More Comfortable Dining Experience

Interestingly, this Restoran also has a Special Paid Air-Conditioned Area. ❄️ All you need to do is just pay an Extra RM1.00 to enter.
Just simply walk up to the Counter Desk inside and pay RM1.00. (Cash Only). You will be given a Ticket to keep. ๐ŸŽŸ️ The Aircon is not those Super Cold type but it was definitely Much Cooler and Comfortable as compared to their Main Non-Aircon Dining Hall Eating Area. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

The Area itself is Cleanly Maintained although there is a Thick Perfume Fragrance that they use for this too. ๐ŸŒท So if you are sensitive to Smells, you might need to check if this place is suitable for you. ๐Ÿค”
It also seems to have No Time Limit ๐Ÿ•’ as I see a Couple of Patrons within who have long finished their Meal and they were just chilling and chitchatting within. ๐Ÿ˜Œ Hahaha I wonder if you can walk in and pay to enjoy this Aircon without ordering any Food? ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm surprised Many Food Blogs never mention about this Special Paid Air-Conditioned Area. ๐Ÿค” Maybe its new? Anyway I highly recommend to pay the Extra RM1.00 to have a Much More Cooling and Comfortable Dining Experience ❄️๐Ÿ˜Œ compared to eating at the More Warm and Humid Dining Hall Area. ๐Ÿฅต

How to Order your Food:

1) If you are dining in, go join the Queue.

2) Once its your turn, just tell them you want a Plate of Nasi Lemak. ๐Ÿ™‹‍♂️๐Ÿš

3) You don't get to choose Ingredients. Just point to whatever items you want "่ฟ™ไธช้‚ฃไธช, ่ฟ™ไธช้‚ฃไธช" ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿ‘ˆ just like how you order Cai Fan. ๐Ÿ˜…

4) Continue along the Queue to the Cashier Counter which is where you can also order any Drinks. ๐Ÿฅค Pay before you eat.

I really like how all their items are clearly labelled even in the Receipt as you can see. ๐Ÿ‘

I also particularly appreciated that Free Water Coolers ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ‘ are installed for Customers so you do not need to order any Drinks if you don't want to. These Water Coolers are Available in both their Non-Aircon and Aircon Dining Areas. ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ‘

☕ Teh O Halia (Hot, No Sugar) = RM2.00

This tasted Robustly Gao Gao Gingery ๐Ÿซš with a Deep Orange Colour. Definitely not some Supermarket Packet, this tastes like its actually brewed from Real Ginger. ๐Ÿซš๐Ÿ‘

Gingery Hot and Warms the Throat, this is a Decent Cup of Ginger Tea. ☕๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿš Nasi Lemak

For this Plate of Nasi Lemak, I purposely chose 2 of the Most Expensive Ingredients, ๐Ÿฎ Rendang and ๐Ÿฆ‘ Sotong to test. The Base Set consists of ๐Ÿš Rice with a ๐Ÿณ Sunny Egg, ๐Ÿฅ’ 5 Cucumber Slices, ๐ŸŸ Ikan Bilis and of course ๐ŸŒถ️ Sambal.

๐Ÿš Quality of the Rice

Jasmine Rice is used here. ๆต“ๆต“ Gao Gao ้ฉฌๆฅ้ฃŽๅ‘ณ Flavour. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ๐Ÿ˜‹ Nicely Lemak but also Not Overly So, just the Right Level of Lemak. ๐Ÿ‘ Slightly Soft in Bite Texture but still can taste the Individual Grains ็ฒ’็ฒ’ๅˆ†ๆ˜Ž. ๐Ÿš This is a Good Plate of Nasi Lemak Rice. ๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŒถ️ Quality of the Sambal

Immediately Impressed when I tasted this. Not Super Sweet and also Not Overly Earthy. ๐Ÿ˜‹ I feel it keeps a Right Balance and hits all the Right Notes for me. It has a Strong Ikan Bilis Base ๐ŸŸ and interestingly I didn't taste any Onion Pieces. ๐Ÿง…๐Ÿค”

Texture is Smooth, not those Gritty Gritty type. The Spiciness is Elevated and I feel can be Intense for People who cannot take Too Spicy but for me it still doesn't bite too hard. ๐ŸŒถ️ I like that it will linger as an Ever Present Heat in your Throat. Excellent Sambal. ๐ŸŒถ️๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŸ Quality of the Ikan Bilis

I usually don't describe the Ikan Bilis but the version they have here is Noticeably Fatter. ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿค” Very Crunchy but also Intensely Salty. Definitely eat this with Rice. ๐Ÿš

And now we come to the 2 Main Ingredients I selected:

๐Ÿฎ Quality of the Rendang

Amount given feels Acceptable for the Price. ๐Ÿ‘ This is the Wetter got abit of Gravy Type of Rendang. ๐Ÿฏ Bite Texture is not those Super Insanely Soft until Disintegrate in Mouth type. That said its also Not Very Firm but sits in the Middle with some Meaty Texture with a Nice Beefiness to it. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ˜‹ This is a Good Rendang that has Work done to it.

๐Ÿฆ‘ Quality of the Sotong

Amount also feels Reasonable for the Price. ๐Ÿ‘ In fact I think they gave a Full Sotong. ๐Ÿฆ‘๐Ÿค” Tender to the Bite, its Sweetish Tasting. Not Firm or Rubbery. What I especially like are the Tentacles that have this Jelly-Like Bite Texture. Delightful. ๐Ÿฆ‘๐Ÿ˜‹

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM2.00 (S$0.70) is an Affordable Price for this Ginger Tea Teh Halia Kosong ๐Ÿซš☕ because this tasted like its brewed from Real Ginger, not some Supermarket Sachet Pack. If you enjoy a Solid Natural Gingery Hot Tea, you will most likely have no issues with this. ☕๐Ÿ˜‹

At the Total Combined Price of RM16.85 + RM1.00 (S$5.50) is a Very Reasonable Price to Pay for a Reasonable and Filling Amount of Nasi Lemak ๐Ÿš with 2 of the Most Expensive Ingredients, ๐Ÿฎ Rendang and ๐Ÿฆ‘ Sotong. Needless to say this is a Very Decent Tasting Plate of Nasi Lemak. I have no issues with the Quality of any of the Ingredients here. ๐Ÿ‘

Paying an Extra RM1.00 is Definitely Worth the Money to be able to comfortably dine in their Air-Conditioned Area. ❄️๐Ÿ˜Œ I'm surprised Most Food Blogs that feature this Place never mentioned this Air-Con Area because it really added alot to the Comfort. ๐Ÿ˜Œ Maybe its something New that was recently added? ๐Ÿค”

The Only Nitpick Issue I have, that is also mentioned by many Google Reviewers is that there can be alot of Flies around. ๐Ÿชฐ๐Ÿค” Heck there are so many of them, you will regularly hear them Piak Piak Piak ⚡ get zapped by the Numerous Electric Bug Zappers they have. ⚡๐Ÿชฐ Hahaha Morbid but also Oddly Satisfying. ๐Ÿ˜…

What I am most impressed is how this place operates. From how Friendly and Welcoming the Staffs are, ๐Ÿ˜„ to how affordable the Prices are even when I purposely chose 2 of the Most Expensive Ingredients (๐Ÿฎ Rendang and ๐Ÿฆ‘ Sotong), to how Open their Pricing are listed on the Receipt, ๐Ÿ’ต also offering a Comfortable Air-Con Dining Area, ❄️๐Ÿ˜Œ to even offering Free Water Coolers, ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿฅค  this Restoran feels like its going out of its way to provide Value for Customers. ♥️ For all these, I'm going to have to give this place my Highest Top Score. ⭐ Excellent Value. ๐Ÿ‘

I had an Enjoyable Dining Experience. ๐Ÿ˜„ As I mentioned earlier in the Review, the Street where this Restoran is located itself looks like a Very Popular Happening Place ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ so you will certainly be able to find something that you like even if you don't want to eat here. ๐Ÿ‘ Highly Recommended!
