JB Trip Preview - Taman Desa Tebrau

Hey Everyone,
Once again, Surprise! Early Post today. ๐Ÿ˜…

Continuing with my Exploration of "Northern Johor Bahru", I'm back at a Familiar Suburb / Neighbourhood at Taman Desa Tebrau again.
๐Ÿ˜„ There aren't much Entries for this Location in this Food Blog, ๐Ÿค” so I thought I'd visit to find out More Places to eat since this Area is near to the Popular Aeon Mall Tebrau City anyways. ๐Ÿ˜„

Hahaha dunno is it I'm tired or what, I just felt like ending my JB Trip earlier, so today only visited a few places and only 1 Highlight. ๐Ÿ˜… I think I've been visiting JB a tad too much recently and now I'm abit "JB-ed Out". ๐Ÿ˜… Hahaha, I reckon I'll space out my JB Visits more ba.

Anyway for anyone who is interested, as I was exploring around Toppen Mall, I came across this "Nusantara Food Festival/Concert Event"? ๐Ÿ˜Š Based on the name "Nusantara", I'm guessing its probably Indonesia-Based. Most likely to celebrate the Upcoming Hari Raya Haji Season. ๐ŸŽ‰

From what I can see, these are the Details:

๐Ÿ—“️ Event Date:
From 22-May-2026 to 1-June-2026
⏱️ Event Time:
 12.00pm Noon to 12.00pm Midnight

There are also Scheduled Concerts by Malay Rock Bands starting from 9.30pm. ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ
So if you are visiting Toppen Shopping Mall, you might want to come check this out as its located just right next to the Mall itself if this is something you are interested in. ๐Ÿ˜„

Here is the Highlight of the Trip
(Hahaha just one, didn't visit much Places this time round)

Cinema Cafe
is a Restoran I only knew when I was recommended by a Really Friendly Local Indian Grab Driver ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜„ some time ago when we were discussing about Indian Cuisines.

His Exact Words were:
"This Place Good Bryani.
Filter Coffee Silver Cup. Don't Drink Immediately, wait a Few Minutes first. Also Brewed Coffee tell them you need Cow Milk, Not Condensed Milk." ๐Ÿค”

The Actual Place is really a Very Adorable, Nicely Airconditioned Bollywood Themed Restoran.
Really Bollywood Inspired, everything is Very Bollywood. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ❤️

From the Posters you see before you even enter, to the Groovy Rhythm that I find myself bobbing my head to, ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ to even the Menu that shows Scenes from Iconic Bollywood Movies I reckon. ๐ŸŽฅ And from Google Reviewers, its mostly quite Popular too. ๐Ÿ‘

That said, I wasn't in the Mood for Bryani that time but instead I decided to try something new as I was more interested in their Classic Indian Drinks. ๐Ÿฅค๐Ÿค” All of them are Actual Drinks from India. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Our Indian Community are really good at Drink Mixing and India itself is one of the Major World Exporters of Tea. ๐ŸŒฟ So I ordered 3 Unique Drinks:

Kumbakonam Degree Coffee = RM7.90 (S$2.60)
Nannari Surbath = RM10.90 (S$3.60)
Sukku Malli Tea = RM4.90 (S$1.60)

I first encountered this Kumbakonam Coffee ☕ during my KL Visit where I visited
Oh Yeah Banana Leaf Batu Caves during my visit to the Famous KL Batu Caves. At that time, I wasn't impressed and thought it tasted like a Normal Milk Coffee. ☕๐Ÿค”

THIS Kumbakonam Coffee here however is on a Whole Other Level. ☕๐Ÿคฏ It is also the one that is the Closest Description of "Filter Coffee Silver Cup" ☕ that the Local Grab Driver described because it is served in a Metal Receptacle as you can see.

Wow... OMG this right here is Truly Next Level. ๐Ÿคฏ Really Unique Woody Smokey Fragrance that I have never encountered in a Coffee. ☕๐Ÿ˜ณ I think this comes close to the Super High-End Turkish Coffee that I had at
Damascus (Bukit Bintang) also in KL. Wow.. this thing is Power. ๐Ÿคฏ (The Original Black Neat that is. Don't add too much of that Milk that is provided)

I'll leave the Description of the other 2 Drinks in my Future Review. ๐Ÿ˜… Really Nice Place and Very Friendly Service with a Smile, ๐Ÿ˜„ I definitely can recommend to give this a try if you would like to try out some Nice Indian Cuisines here in Taman Desa Tebrau. ๐Ÿ‘

To the Kind Grab Driver who recommended this, Nandri!
เฎจเฎฉ்เฎฑி! (Thank You!) ๐Ÿ™❤️

And a Couple of More Places I visited and a Sneak Peak of the Other Dishes I ate! ๐Ÿ˜„
(And yes, I went IKEA. ๅƒๅˆฐๆฒกๆœ‰ไธœ่ฅฟๅƒไบ†ๅŽป IKEA of all places.) ๐Ÿ˜…

Below are the Complete List of Eateries I visited if you are interested. ๐Ÿ‘
