There are No Menu Available at this Eatery/Restaurant.

This was one of the 1st Eateries I stumbled upon when I first arrived in Kulai.
It was a Very Old Looking Kopitiam with a Few Customers around on a Weekday Morning.

The Lady Boss is Friendly and Welcoming. Quite a Oft Mentioned Eatery featured in some Blogs that talk about Kulai.
From the Extremely Faded Signboards, I could tell that this was a Very Old Place.

This is basically a Classic Yong Tau Foo Eatery.
Just go up to the Ingredient Section at the Front, pick what you want and pass it to the Lady Boss.

Nothing particularly Special about the Ingredients, most of them are Supermarket Processed Stuffs like Fried Crabsticks etc.
So I just picked a Few Random Items to test. It took only 1 Minute for the Dish to be served up.

Kopi-O-Kosong = RM2.80

Interestingly, this was brought in by a Young Lad from another Eatery. I reckon the Eateries here all know each other. Served in a Larger Cup than usual, there is a Old School Kopi-O sort of Aroma. The Coffee itself isn't Very Gao Gao Strong but it will still wake you up gently. Acceptable but also Unremarkable.

Standard YTF Bowl (No noodles, Random 7 items, Clear Soup) = RM17.00

Visually Pleasing Appearance with a Generous Sprinkling of Spring Onion for Garnishing.
It looked like a Whole Bounty of Food in a Fairly Large Bowl.

Quality of the Soup Broth

This had a Familiar Taste of Standard Kopitiam type of Fishball Soup. 鱼丸汤.
MSG is quite Prominent and Noticeably Salty. Nothing particularly Special about this.

Quality of the White Tofu

Chose this because apparently they claim to make this themselves. I believe her because this was such a Huge Hunk of Tofu. Nothing Special about the Bite Texture but I'm surprised that it didn't have any Raw Tofu Taste that you'd expect from such Huge Hunk. The Bit of Minced Pork Filling within wasn't Overly Porky or Salty.

Quality of the Fried Tofu

Basically the Fried Version of their White Tofu. Personally I feel the Additional Fried Skin Texture adds nothing.
They do give Slightly More Meat in this however.

Quality of the Lup Cheong

Now this is a something different I've never seen in a YTF. Not Overly Oily and Not Firm to the Bite at all, this had a Nice Sweetish Meaty Juiciness.

Quality of the Fish Sheet

Not sure what to call this, but it was Slightly Saltish, Slightly Fishy with a Chewy Texture. Not Bad Tasting.

Quality of the Ngor Heong

Again another Unique Item not usually found in YTF. I wouldn't call this Amazing Tasting but it is Meaty with a Slightly Softer Bite compared to their Lup Cheong.

Quality of the Fishball

Small but had a Surprising Firm Bite Texture and Noticeably Fishy. Doesn't taste like something you'd buy from a Supermarket, I think this is Homemade. That said, I wouldn't call this really Amazing also.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM2.80 (S$0.90) for the Cup of Kopi-O, it was affordable but also nothing really special.

Pretty Much a Standard Cup of Kopitiam Level of Kopi-O. At least it wasn't Diluted.

At the Price of RM17.00 (S$5.50) for this Bowl of 7 Items YTF isn't Cheap but some of the Ingredients were quite Unique and Not Seen in YTFs.

Surprisingly Meaty especially with the Inclusion of Lup Cheong and Ngor Heong.
I am impressed with their Homemade White Tofu which had No Raw Tofu Taste.

Don't let my Average Score deter you from this Place. While I found it Overall not a Die Die Must Visit Place as Nothing here particularly Wowed me, what I liked is the Old Classic Rustic Look of the Place and I appreciate that the Lady Boss was Friendly and Welcoming so I can still recommend to give it a try if you keep your Expectations in Check.
