This is quite a Popular Leicha Place here in Kelapa Sawit that has been featured in Several Food Blogs and YouTube Videos. Its Actual Name is "
26 Volcano Lei Cha Coffee House" but Most People just call it "Volcano Leicha".

In fact this was also the 1st Place I visited when I first arrived in Kelapa Sawit.
Its a Relatively Large Eatery with a Very Kampung Kampung Kopitiam sort of feel with a Predominantly Greenish Theme. Non-Airconditioned but it was Airy and Cooling in the Morning when I visited. The Music they play here was Thai? or Hakka Songs?

Although I was the only Dine-In Customer when I reached here at 7.00am on a Friday Morning, it slowly filled up. The Customers that I see here mostly Dabao Takeaway rather than Dine-In. The Staffs are Polite but Mostly Quiet, Reserved and kept to themselves.

How to Order your Leicha:

Simple, just tell them what you want and it'll be made for you like a Typical Economy Cai Fan. She does ask if you want any Peanuts. I'm surprised there aren't any attempts to upsell any YTF Pieces or even if I want any Drinks.

Quality of the Lei Cha Broth

I am Very Surprised that this Lei Cha Broth is Completely Not Herbaceaous tasting at all. I am seriously not kidding about this. The Broth tasted more Conventional Savoury Saltish, with only a Very Slight Tease of Leicha Herbs.

This was the Same Taste I had for
威威咸茶美食阁 Wei Wei Food in JB Taman Daya. At that time, I could not confirm if a Non-Herbaceaous Tasting Lei Cha Broth is considered Legit Authentic but given that this place itself is an Authentic Hakka Eatery located in an Actual Hakka Village, I guess True Authentic Hakka Leicha Broth is not supposed to be Very Herbaceous at all.

The Broth itself had a Slight Gritty Texture that will tickle your Throat, Warm and Comforting. I tasted a Slight Bit of MSG but not too much. I also don't know why but this Soup tastes Savoury Meaty even though there are No Meat within.

The Main Bowl of Ingredients

Even with No Rice, it was Alot of Vegetables. Cabbage, Taupok, Long Beans and a Bunch of Other Veggies. 满满一盆菜. Tasting Very Good, None of the Veggie Ingredients had any Raw Veggie Taste if it makes any sense.

All I got was a Savoury Slight Saltish Mix that I reckon even Non-Vegetarians will also enjoy.
Mixing the Broth with the Leicha was Delicious resulting in a Savoury Stew. That is, if you can get past the Unconventional Green Green Visual Look of it especially if you have never tasted Lei Cha before. 😅

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM8.00 (S$2.60) is an Affordable Price for this Filling Bowl of Leicha and Broth. This is also the first time i'm eating Leicha without Rice and I didn't even know you can choose not to order any Carbs for it.

What is truly surprising to me was how Not Herbaceaous this tasted. For anyone who don't like Leicha because its Too Overly Herbaceous, you'll be happy to know that Authentic Hakka Leicha is not supposed to be Herbaceous it seems. Having said that, if you are someone who actually like Leicha for being Very Herbaceous, you might not like this Very Mild Version actually.

Coming here was truly an Educational and Enlightening Trip about Hakka Leicha. Hahaha I was still not convinced that Authentic Leicha is Non-Herbaceous so I visited yet another Famous One in this Village. Tune in for Tomorrow where I will showcase it!

Spoiler: Hahaha the other Leicha I tried at
满庭芳茶餐室 Kedai Makan Man Ting Fong is also Non-Herbaceous!
