When I saw this Adorable HK Dessert Eatery, I couldn't help myself and gave it a try. The Name of this Place "Sek Tong" is Cantonese for 吃糖 which is also short for "Eating Desserts".
The Interior looks Adorable if a Little Tacky modeled after a Typical HK Night Street Scene together with Graffiti Art and of course Bruce Lee. Hahaha because nothing screams HK without at least some Caricature of Bruce Lee isn't it? The Staffs are Friendly, Polite and Mostly Keep to Themselves.

Not a Very Popular or Busy Place as I observed throughout my 2 Days in this Midvalley Mall, there are Never any Crowds on Weekdays. Not sure how is the Situation on Weekends though.

One Item I really wanted to order was their Pistachio Paste (RM16.50/S$5.10) Because I wanted to do a Comparison between this and the One I had at
佳旺甜品 JustWant Dessert in Taman Pelangi I had back in Sept 2025. Unfortunately this was not available during that day. I liked that it took Only 1 Min for Both Dishes to be served up Simultaneously Together even though I did not request for it. Nice.

TS13 Double Layer Milk Pudding = RM9.80

Ordered this because this is a Very Classic Tong Shui 糖水 I had previously in the Famous Leitaria in Macau. Its called "Double Layer" because it is a Layer of Ultra Soft Milk Pudding with a Very Thin Fragile Layer of Milk Skin above.

Unfortunately, the One here is Not Correctly Made. While the Bottom is a Soft Milk Pudding, there are No Milk Skin on top at all. Texture is also Not Correct because the Version here is Cold while the one I had was Hot. So its not as Ultra Silky Soft as the Version I had in Macau. This is Slightly Firmer than a Conventional Tau Hway / Tau Fu Fa.

That said though, the Milk Pudding itself actually does taste Correct with a Nespray Milk Powder sort of Taste. It tastes Correctly Milky with an Elevated Level of Sweetness. This actually taste accurate as a HK-Styled Milk Pudding, but it is Definitely Not a Double Layer Milk for sure.

TS12 Red Bean Soup with Tangerine Peel and Glutinous Ball = RM9.50

I personally like Red Bean Soup myself so I ordered this. While the Double Skin Milk was a Disappointment, THIS was actually Pretty Good.
Served in a Bowl, there are 2 Balls of 汤圆 hidden in the Bottom. The Red Bean Soup itself is Rich, Thick and Creamy Gao Gao, not at all Diluted. Creamy with Mashed Red Bean Texture, this was Delicious.

One thing I'm glad to finally learn that the Ingredient that I thought gave a Herbal Presence is actually Tangerine as written on their Menu. This is the Key Ingredient that really pushed this Red Bean Soup beyond the Type of Red Bean Soup that you'd normally get in a Typical SG Kopitiam/Food Court. Very Nice.

The 2 汤圆 themselves are Fat and Smooth and I love the Sweet Black Sesame Paste that oozes out when you bite into them. Elevated Sweet but still ok. They injected a Delightful Creamy Peanuty Sesame Goodness into the Dish.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM9.80 (S$3.10) for the Double Skin Milk, this is not Expensive, but it isn't a Legit Double Skin Milk because it lacks that Signature "Milk Skin" on top. The Texture is also Not as Ultra Smooth as Real Double Skin Milk at least for the one I had in Macau.

Having said that, the Taste of this Milk Pudding actually taste Correct, having a Nespray-like Milk Powder Taste. So while this isn't a Double Skin Milk, it is actually quite close in Flavour to a HK-Styled Milk Pudding. This one can try because this is not something you can find easily in Singapore. At least not in our Kopitiams or Food Courts.

At the Price of RM9.50 (S$3.00) for this Red Bean Soup is definitely worth the Money. Compared to the Watery Diluted Versions sold in SG Kopitiams/Food Courts, this is definitely at a Higher Level.

For some reason, JB Red Bean Soup really does taste better compared to SG versions. I remembered tasting One the other time at
糖水妹 Tong Shui Mui (Taman Gaya Branch) that I reviewed previously which I enjoyed, and this one doesn't disappoint either. One Key Element is the use of Tangerine which I don't think I ever tasted for SG Versions.

This Simple Ingredient infuses a Deep Robust Almost Herbal Presence into the Red Bean Soup elevating it above most versions we have in Singapore.
And don't forget that 2 Fat Round 汤圆 which injected a Layer of Creamy Peanuty Sesame Goodness into the Dish elevating it even further. Very Nice.

Just for Fun, I mixed these 2 Desserts together. The Nespray Milky Taste from the Milk Pudding is significantly reduced and Red Bean Taste also Cancelled Out. It ended up as a Cold Pudding that had the Texture of Red Bean. Hahaha Nothing Magical Happened.

Despite my Average Score, this was overall not a Bad Place. Although the Double Skin Milk was not done correctly, it still tasted Decent as a Cold Custardy Milk Dessert with the HK Milky Taste. The Red Bean Soup is what I would recommend to go for especially at this Price, I feel it is worth the Money.

That said, I am worried because throughout the 2 Weekdays I was in this Mall, I never observed any Crowds of Customers for this Place so I'm not sure how long they can last like this. Maybe they're More Popular during Weekends?
If you are craving for some Traditional HK-Styled Tong Shui 糖水 to take a Rest after your Shopping in the Mall, and is OK with the Prices on their Menu, I can recommend this place to give it a try.
