Hey Everyone!
Shifting Focus from Yesterday's Preview Post for my Visit to the Bazaar Ramadan in Angsana Mall, Today's JB Trip brings me to a Quiet Neighbourhood and Quiet Mall I've not visited in quite awhile: Taman Abad and R&F Mall
I have a Confession to make, I've actually visited this Location Last Saturday too, together with a Few Eateries at R&F Mall in Tanjung Puteri. So thats why you are seeing alot more Places I visited in this Post.
I also have some Additional Good News to share! ๐
Both my Kuching Sarawak (2023) and Penang / Butterworth (2024) Food Reviews have all been migrated and re-uploaded successfully in this New Food Blog.
I will now focus on re-uploading the Overseas Food Reviews for Hong Kong / Macau (2024) ๐ญ๐ฐ and Taiwan / Taichung (2025) Actually my Hong Kong Posts are already Underway and In Progress. It looks like I'm still on track to finish re-uploading everything by March 2026. We shall see how it goes. ๐
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As for Today's JB Trip,
Taman Abad is not a Particularly Well-Known Place and Most Singaporeans will probably know it more as "That Suburb that is near to KSL City Mall". R&F Mall itself while has seen noticeable increase in footfall, is still a Relatively Quiet Mall and certainly not as Popular as the ones in my Top 8 Most Popular JB Shopping Malls List.
Hahaha but you are Very Mistaken if you think there are Nothing to Eat here.
Especially for Taman Abad, this is actually a Hidden Gem with some Good (Famous) Eats!

Here are some Highlights of Today's Trip:
Hahaha did that Magnificent Spread at the Start of this Post intrigued you? It was from ๅฐ้พ่กๆฑๆน Dragon's Journey which was recommended by my Friend Loh Lee Nah. Its a HDL type of China-Styled Hot Pot Buffet Concept with Several Price Tiers for you to eat to your Heart's Content. Impressive looking place, the Outside of the Restoran looks like some ๆญฆไพ ๅฐ่ฏดๅฎขๆ already.
If you are interested, the Weekend Buffet Tier I selected is their Standard Classic Tier advertised at RM89.90++ The Actual Final Price including Service Charges comes up to a Final Total of RM121.70 (S$40.00).
Really a Wide Variety of Items I've sampled and a Huge Long Receipt as you can see! Is it worth the Price? I'll leave it for you to decide. I LOVE their Super Fresh Bouncy Tiger Prawns though. If you decide to eat here, don't miss them out!

Next up is Ikan Bakar Tampin which is actually One of the More Famous Eateries in Taman Abad that has been regularly featured in Multiple Food Blogs and Various Youtube Influencers Videos. It is said that if you do not come here by 5.00pm just after they open, you will need to be prepared to Queue.
Like Most Claims of course its a Tad Exaggerated. The Actual Place isn't that Insane as I personally witnessed. But it is no doubt still Very Popular surprisingly full of Local Folks too. Although never reaching to the Point of needing to Queue, the Amount of Customers that came in was like Never-Ending like that.

The Ikan Bakar here is True to the Claim and it really is Very Good indeed. I can even confirm this because I specifically requested for mine NOT to be drenched in Sambal and it STILL tasted Good, Tender and Fresh on its own. If you want to REALLY taste how good an Ikan Bakar really is, do consider NOT cooking it the Usual Sambal Gao Gao way and eat it like how I ordered with the Sambal on a Side.
3 Dishes (for a Roughly 300g Stingray Ikan Bakar) that I ordered here came up to a Final Price including Service Charges for a Final Total of RM55.70 (S$18.10) was Reasonable considering the Quality. In addition to the Excellent Ikan Bakar, don't forget to order their Popiahs too which was actually Surprisingly Good and Paired Very Well.

And of course a Couple of More Places I visited and a Sneak Peak of the Other Dishes I ate! ๐

Below are the Complete List of Eateries I visited if you are interested. ๐
