Hidden in an Obscure Corner of the Mall, this is located right next to the Non-Halal Popcorn Food Hall that I reviewed previously. Despite located in such a Low Traffic Area, there were quite a number of customers even at 3.40pm on Weekdays. Although as I observed, this Eatery is never Overly Crowded. Not sure how is the Situation on Weekends.

From what I gather from some Google Reviewers, apparently this used to be in JB City Square Mall a long time ago. It calls itself a HK Cha Chaan Ting, but I feel it has a Distinct Whimsical Design Language of its own. It feels more like a Local Malaysian Modern Kopitiam instead. Staffs are Friendly, Polite and Mostly keep to Themselves. I liked that it only took 2 Mins for Everything to be served up Together even though I did not ask for it.
3061 Cheese Baked Rice with Pork Chop Set = RM24.50
White Sauce, Cream Soup, comes with Ying Yong in Hong Kong Style (Less Ice, No Sugar)
This Set comes with a Main Dish 主食, a Soup and a Drink.

Quality of the Ying Yong Drink
Served in a Tall Plastic Cup, this doesn't look anything like it's Menu Photo with a "Melty" look. Tastes Noticeably Dilluted, I feel the Tea Taste is more than Coffee, like 90% Tea and 10% Coffee. I don't like its Watered Down and Diluted Taste.

Quality of the Cream Soup
Very Standard Cream Corn type of Soup. Not Overly Salty and is rather Thick in Texture. Comes with Small Bits of Luncheon Meat, Carrots and Corn Pieces. Very Standard Soup, really Nothing Special about this.

Presentation of the Baked Rice Main Dish 主食
I'll admit I chose this because of how its shown in the Menu as served in a Unique Dim Sum-Styled Bamboo Container, I'm glad the Actual Dish is indeed served like this. I like this attempt at trying to make a Unique Presentation.

The Baked Rice Dish itself consists of:
Rice
1 Slab of Pork Chop cut into pieces
About 10 Slices of Mushroom
Sprinkling of corn
Mozzarella Cheese
2 Coriander Leaf for Garnishing

Quality of the Rice
Not just a Simple Plain White Rice, this was a Slightly Salted Egg Fried Rice with bits of Egg within. I couldn't taste any Wok Hei but I am impressed with them putting in some Effort to provide a Simple Fried Rice instead of just Plain White Rice.
Decent, Not Amazing, the Amount of Rice was Acceptable and I liked the addition of Corn Pieces which occasionally shoots thru with some Corn Sweetness with Every Bite.

Quality of the Mozzarella Cheese
Very Standard Cheese used in a HK-Styled Baked Rice. I like the Baked and Effort to Char and it is Decently Lightly Salted.
Quality of the Mushroom Pieces
About 1 Tablespoonfull is given, these taste like they're taken from some Can. Acceptable but also Unremarkable.

Quality of the Pork Chop
Its a Thin Patty although still Decently Meaty and Acceptable Size for the Price. I appreciate the Effort in Searing it. That said, I felt these should be Salted More. It also has a Noticeable Pigginess to it 猪味有点重. It was ok for the Smaller Cuts but more Noticeable for the Larger Cuts.

As I ate this, I felt the Whole Dish is Very Dependent on the Slightly Salted Rice and Mozzarella Cheese to help cover up this Pigginess. I liked how this Baked Rice is designed. It still utilizes the Classic Slab of Meat over Fried Rice Concept but I liked how they twisted it abit by presenting it in a Dim Sum Bamboo Container rather than a Pan Glassware.
Having said that, I don't feel it is a Really Must-Eat Dish for this Place tbh. The Whole Thing felt and tasted Very Average and is not really worth to specifically come to JB to eat.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM24.50 (S$7.60) to get a Set that consists of 1 Drink, 1 Soup and 1 Main Dish 主食 is actually quite Value for Money at Face Value, but its when you closely scrutinize each item, then you realize the Quality don't really hold up.
I didn't like how Unbalanced the Ying Yong Drink tasted with 90% Tea and 10% Coffee and especially how Diluted it tasted. Not worth it. Skip this. The Soup itself is also nothing special being a Very Standard Cream Corn type of Soup.

While interestingly presented in a Dim Sum Styled Bamboo Container, the Main Dish has what it takes to be a Baked Rice, but the Overall Taste taste Very Average. Eating this felt more like eating a Simple Food Court Level of Baked Rice. Noticeably Piggy and Under-Salted Pork Chop. Everything I tasted here felt like a Standard Food Court Level of Taste. Affordable, Acceptable but Average.
Don't let my Average Score deter you from this Place however, as this is just my Personal Opinion of 1 Random Item I picked from their Menu. I have no issues with the Customer Service. As long as you keep your Expectations in check, is ok with the Prices on the Menu, is also ok that this is located in a More Obscure Part of the Mall, why not give this a try and see if it suits your Palette?
