This was a Recommendation by JohorKaki that I was very interested to visit because he mentioned in his 2018 Written Review that this is "The Biggest BKT Brand in the World"?

The Actual Restoran is a Relatively Large Non-Airconditioned but still Airy Feeling Kopitiam that is quite Popular with Customers even on a Off-Lunch Hour of 2.54pm on a Saturday.

As soon as I stepped in, a Very Friendly and Welcoming Chinese Lady who immediately recommended their "1 Pax BKT". Already I'm impressed by her Confidence. She does try to Upsell some Extra Liao but I'm glad to see Zero 死人臉 when I declined. 

I am also Impressed that she reminded me the BKT I ordered will have Liver and Mushrooms of which I told her I have no issues. Of all the BKT I've eaten in JB, this is the 1st Time I've been informed of this so, yes I'm impressed with this Service Level indeed.

The Rest of the Staffs were Mostly Myanmar Folks? who were Polite, Reserved and went about their own duties quietly. It took about 6 Mins for the Dish to be served up.

As you can see, the Dish came Bubbling Deliciously in a Claypot. Nice.

Of course I dissected it closely which consists of:

Soup Broth

4 Cut Pieces of Ribs

3 Pieces of Liver

3/4 Cuts of a Button Mushroom

Half a Small Garlic Clove

Quality of the Soup Broth

If you use the Soup Ladle they provided, its 5 Scoops for 1 Small Bowl as you can see in the Photo. I counted about 2 Small Bowls + 1 Metal Ladle worth of Soup provided by default.

Light Brown in Colour, there is a Noticeable 猪味 Pigginess Aroma wafting from this. Not Herbal at all, this tasted like a Sweetish Lightly Braised Pork Soup. Doesn't taste like MSG is added. Has a Slightly Elevated Pigginess Taste but not Too Overwhelming. 

Not Overly Salty, Not Peppery. Very Decent Tasting Soup and for some reason I just wanted to dunk a Bowl of Rice into it to eat like a Pseudo Porridge. If you are able to eat Carbs, I'd say sure go ahead and do that.

Quality of the Pork Rib

Not Super Tender, Fall off the Bone type of Quality, the Texture leans more towards Firmish Meaty. The Pigginess is Quite Prominent in this. What I enjoyed are the Cuts which has More Fats on them. While they aren't Melt in Mouth, I liked the Soft Fatty Bite of them.

Quality of the Pig Liver and Mushroom.

Noticeably Livery. No wonder the Lady warned of this. People who absolutely cannot accept even abit of Liver will definitely not like this. I'm personally ok with them. They are Meaty Cuts with a Slight Firmish Bite but also Not Too Firm.

The Mushroom taste like they're taken from some Can. Mushroomness can be a Tad Strong for them.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM18.00 (S$5.70) isn't Cheap for this BKT at this Basic Level. This is a BKT that has a Noticeably Elevated Level of Pigginess compared to other JB BKTs that I've eaten.

What I did enjoy was the Pork Soup which I dunno why, but if I didn't need to watch my Carb Intake, I would have absolutely just ordered a Bowl of Rice to  dunk it in to eat like a Pseudo Porridge. All the Proteins all lean towards More 重口味 Pigginess too. Overall a Very Piggy BKT Soup if it makes any sense.

Overall I have no big issues with this Place. But personally, I don't feel its worth to specifically come to JB just to eat this, but I do like the Soup Broth. If you are nearby the Area, is ok with the Prices on their Menu and is also OK with a More Noticeable Piggy BKT, I can still recommend to give this a try.
