Kueh Chap = RM9.00 (Add Egg + RM1.50)

Unlike in JB where its called "Kway Teow Kia", Kuching also follows Singapore way of calling this dish as "Kway Chap" 🤔 And in the Various Food Blogs I've read, the Stall here in Woon Lam is often praised as being very good. 👍 Woon Lam itself is another Kopitiam that also has many individual food stalls.

I'd also like to add that I walked all the way from Choon Hui Cafe (Sarawak Laksa) to this Kopitiam Comfortably without any issues. In fact, Most of Kuching is very conducive for Walking. 🚶All the Walkways are nicely laid out and there aren't many Major Big Roads you have to cross. 👍 The Stall owner here is very Friendly Jolly Lady. 💁 Her stall is next to an equally impressive 炒粿 Cha Kueh (Woon Lam Cafe 1999). Hahaha eating both Kway Chap and Cha Kueh together is really damn Shiok. 😋

As for the Kway Chap, I felt the Broth has a very Noticeable Piggy Aroma. 🐷 The Broth itself however has no overly strong piggy taste, has a light braised taste thats also not very salty. 🍲👍 Pork Pieces are generous and Meat is Fatty with a Softer than Usual Bitefeel. 🐷😋 You also get a Whole Braised Egg but I noticed there is no Tau Pok. 🤔

What is unique is that the Kway here has a slightly Thicker Bitefeel than usual and its very soft and easy to swallow. 🍜😋 Portion is Acceptable and filling for the price. Intestines smell and taste clean and they're beautifully braised. 👍 The Kway Chup here is a Comforting and Warm bowl and is sold as a Complete Set unlike most JB versions where you need to pick and choose. 😅

The Chilli given with the Kway Chup has a distinct Sweet Sourish taste that also has a tinge of Alcohol? 🌶️🤔 Very unique chilli. I can't really say that the Kway Chap here really blows my mind though. 🤔 I feel its decent and if you are craving for some, this stall will satisfy.
