Important Notice:
There seems to have been some sort of Conflict / Misunderstanding between this Cafe and me.
Scenario:
As ya'll would know, I was slowly migrating all my Previous Reviews from my Former FB Group to this New Blog. At the same time, I'm also updating all my Google Map Reviews to remove and replace the Former Facebook Links in all of them. So whenever an Edit is done to Google Map Review, it will be counted as a New Post. This is a Default Design in Google Maps that I have No Workaround with.
So while the Owner of this Eatery was originally quite Cordial and Friendly, and I was positive in my reply to him as you can see in the below comments, all of a sudden he deleted his Comment on this Blog Post and without calmly checking the situation, suddenly flew into a rage as you can see by his Google Maps comment on the left.
Btw I visited in 2023, not 2021 as he suggested which is Inaccurate. Not sure why his Confusion on this. Personally, I find his "From your account we also noticed you are doing the same with other business from Kuching" remark to be quite amusing. Well Duh, i'm re-editing all my Google Map Reviews in EVERY LOCATION I visited to remove my Former FB Link, not only Kuching.
I'm very disappointed at this Sudden Turn in Aggressiveness especially without reaching out to check why I re-edited my Google Review. He has posted a Comment on this Blog before so he does know how to reach out to me. Why did he not reach out to me to ask me about it? Anyway I've since given my reply to him as you can see on the left. Based on his Behaviour, I've decided to lower his Score on Google Maps from 3 Stars to 1 Star and will be Disengaging from him.
I will still maintain the 3 Star on my Blog as this is still what I felt about the Eatery back in 2023, but 2026 is definitely at a Much Poorer Service Level. Due to this Sudden Change of Situation, Comments will be De-Activated for this Blog Post just in case this situation escalates even further.
Unfortunately this is what happens when both Parties have a Simple Misunderstanding that led to something Potentially Ugly and Unsalvageable. Folks if you have an issue with someone, try to reach out to understand the Other Person's Situation instead of flying into a Blind Rage like this Guy right here. Such a Pity it had to end like this.

Foo Chow Red Wine Mee Sua = RM9.00
Read in a Food Blog that recommended this place, and since I've never eaten Foo Chow Red Wine Mee Sua before I'd thought I'd give it a try. ððĪ
According to the Friendly Stall Lady in this place, she admitted that their Foo Chow Mee Sua isn't considered Traditional ðĪ but more like their own twist to it. I admire her Honesty. ð The Original one uses Chicken ð and since I had eaten Chicken before this, I opted for Pork instead. ð· Also according to them, Soft-boiled Egg is more popular, so I chose it. ðĨ

They apparently distilled their own Red Wine and if I wanted to add more, I could ask to top up free of charge. ð·ð When this was finally served up, I was hit by a Very Strong Aroma of Alcohol Fume. I am not kidding, this totally smells Alcoholic! ð·ðģ
Wow OMG the Broth is Completely Tasteless and I kept inhaling Strong Alcohol Fumes as I ate this! ðģ Nothing inside the Bowl had any taste, throughout the Whole Meal, I kept inhaling Alcohol Fumes non-stop. ðģ Wow! It's already so Alcoholic by Default and there are people who would want to add even more Red Wine to this? ð·ðģ

Even adding Soy Sauce didn't help with the taste. ðŊðĪ All I could focus on was the Strong Alcohol Fumes I kept inhaling. ð·ð There are even large pieces of Ginger Slices within and I question why even add them? ðŦðĪ Obviously there is no need to remove any Piggy Smell with so much Alcohol.
No idea if Foo Chow Red Wine Mee Sua is supposed to be tasteless while at the same time eating, inhale Alcohol Fumes like this. ðĪ If this was not a Traditional Food, I'd totally think this is éŧææį lor ð Extremely unusual dish, it makes no sense to me why it has to be cooked this way. Perhaps because of the Alcohol, this is meant more to keep warm during Winter? ❄️ðĪ
While I can't recommend this myself, I'm not going to lower the score as maybe there is someone out there who may like such a dish. ðĪ

Thank you for your reply. I'll be honest this was the 1st time I've tasted this dish too. ð I have no issues with the service actually, really friendly. It's just this dish was abit unusual for me. ð I appreciate you taking the time to reply and I'm happy you guys are still around after so many years. Doing F&B is not easy in this current economic climate. å æēđð I love Kuching btw. If I'm ever back again, I'll give this dish a try again.
