It was quite interesting to see a Restaurant specializing in a Fried Chicken Buffet here in Kuching. According to a Local that I asked, this Franchise has been around for many years already. 

Its a Fast Food Styled-Restaurant located in Sarawak Plaza which itself is a Mini Mall. The Location is Air-Conditioned, Clean and Well-Kept. Utensils look Decently Clean. What I found especially amusing was that this Restaurant is actually Facing Directly Opposite a KFC.

One thing I got to admit is that I was informed by the Staff that taking photos of the food on display is not allowed but I still quickly snapped as much as I could to let ya'll get an idea of the type of foods on offer here. Thank Goodness they did not throw me out the place. Sorry!

Fried Chicken is not the only thing here. There are also Grilled Chicken and Chicken cooked in a Savoury Bell Pepper Sauce and other Fried Stuffs such as Onion Rings, Gizzards etc.

Carbs Station has Mashed Potato, Fried Rice, Spaghetti and others you'd typically find in a Buffet. Ditto for Salad Bar. For Drinks, you get Unlimited Servings from a Soft Drink Fountain with Coffee and Tea too.

For Desserts, there is a Soft Serve Ice Cream Dispenser with Various Toppings and 5 Different types of Kuih Kuihs. All in all, its everything you'd expect from a Low-End Range of Buffet.



Probably to No One's surprise, the Food here tastes Average to Below Average. The Meat for Fried Chicken is Dry although it is Heavily Salted and Spiced. I'd compare it to like a Lower Quality Version of KFC's Hot and Crispy.

Grilled Chicken was somewhat Cold and Very Nua Nua Oily Type. The Sauced Chicken in Bellpepper Gravy tasted exactly how you'd imagine it to taste like, which is like something you'd probably get from a Cai Png stall. I'm sorry but I had to force myself to finish both the Fried and Grilled Chicken. They taste Too Low Quality for me. Luckily I only took 1 of each.

Amusingly, I felt the Mashed Potato is perhaps the Best Tasting Item around here as it has a very Prominent Butter Taste although I don't see any Brown Sauce for it. Obviously this is not going to win any awards and I'm really scraping the Bottom of the Barrel for this one.

There are 2 Soups and the "Chicken & Corn Chowder" I took had a typical Canned Soup type of Taste and the Dry Little Pieces of Chicken are obviously a Rethawed Frozen Product.

The Ice Cream I had was Chocolate, mildly sweet but nothing special. All of the Kuih Kuihs were Dry AF and looked like they were left out in the open since Morning.

You'd think that with so much Complaints, I'd give this my Lowest Rating, But No. I already had low expectations for this place so I wasn't too disappointed. This Place tasted how I expected it to taste. No wonder they didn't allow People to take Photos of the Food.

I feel this place is meant more for Teenagers or School Students who don't mind the Food Quality and can eat alot. The 2 Hours Timing felt Generous. Heck if I was 30 years younger, I would probably come here regularly to eat with my Friends after School.

When I was there, I actually did see quite alot of Customers having their Dinner. I liked the Family Friendly Fast Food Vibe. At the very least it is Decently Cleanly Maintained and the Staffs Attitudes were Acceptable.

With a Final Price of RM33.90 (S$10.00) without Service Charge, this is about the Price of a Singapore KFC 3-Piece Meal though of course the Quality of Chicken here certainly cannot match KFC.

If you are the type that do not mind the Quality of Food or have Kids / Teenagers that can Eat Alot, this will probably be more worth for you. Otherwise, I'd advise to skip this. Kuching has alot of other Better Quality Foods to eat.
