Goose Intestines with Leek 韭菜鵝腸 = TWD150 (S$6.20)
Goose Liver 鵝肝 TWD100 (S$4.10)
When I did my Research on Places to Eat in Taipei and saw this Michelin Rated Restaurant that sells Braised Goose, 🪿 I know I just have to give this a Try! 😄
Take note, they actually have 2 Buildings, One is for Takeaways Only, and the other is their Dine-In Restaurant which is just across the Street. 🛣️ Both have their Adorable Goose Mascot 🪿 at the Entrance that you can see in the Photos below.
When I reached there at around 12.30pm on a Weekday Afternoon, understandably since this is a Michelin Rated Place, there were at least 15 Customers outside waiting in line. 🤔 Interestingly most of them seems to be Locals themselves.
As I didn't have anything planned at that time, I thought I'd just try my luck and see if the Queue would move fast, which amazingly, it actually did. 😳 Well, not THAT fast also lah, It still took about 21 Mins. 😅
Strangely this Queue was a Very Comfortable Wait. 😄 It was a Combination of the Fact I could Sit Down to wait while enjoying Taipei's Cooling Aircon Weather, ❄️ and perhaps More Importantly, a Very Friendly Local Mother and Daughter Pair 👩👧 that I Chit Chat with while waiting.
They are Locals from Taipei themselves and were Really Friendly and 热情. ♥️ In fact THEY were the ones who initiated Conversation with me while in the Queue. 😅 We Chatted about Everything Under the Sun and this really made the Queue Fly By So Fast! ♥️ Really Nice Mother and Daughter Pair. Taiwanese are so Friendly and Welcoming! 🇹🇼♥️

1) Walk up to the Q-Number Machine and grab a Q Number Paper Slip. 📃
2) Listen out for the Automated Machine Annoucement for your Number. (Note: This is spoken in Mandarin, there are No English Versions) 🤔
3) When your Q-Number is Called Out, approach the Entrance Staff with your Paper Slip 📃 and they will direct you where to go. Hold on to this Paper Slip as you will still need it later.
Note: This Place has 3 Levels. For People with Mobility Issues, do note that there are No Elevators. 🧗You have to Climb Staircase. That said, you can request to be seated at 1st Level if there is available space. Solo Diners seems to be mostly directed to their 3rd Floor as I've observed. 🤔
4) Once you arrived at your Designated Level, pass your Q-Number Paper Slip 📃 to a Staff of this Level who will then direct you to your Seat. 🪑 Ordering of Food is through Pen and Paper Method 📝 They have both Chinese and English Menu. Wait for your Food to be served to you.
5) Utensils and Condiments are available at a Separate Counter on the Level so grab them while you wait for your food. 🌶️🍽️ Once you've finished your Meal, go down to the Cashier at 1st Floor to pay. 💵

Hahaha 笑死人 when I entered the Restaurant and saw the Staff cutting the Goose, for a Moment I thought it was our Singapore Comedian 王雷 Wang Lei. 😅 Really Popular and Crowded Restaurant as you can see in the Below Photos.
It took 5 Mins for the Goose Meat Platter, 7 Mins for the Goose Intestines, and 10 Mins for the Goose Liver and Heart Platter. Everything was up in 10 Mins. Quite Impressive given the Level of Crowd when I was there.

Review of the Available Condiments
There are 5 Condiments Available for you to Freely Take as Much as you want. 👍
Most of them are Uniquely Goose-Based. 🪿 I will try my best to describe how each of them taste like.

This has an Intense Savoury Meaty Taste. The Name of this Sauce suggests that Goose Meat Juices are incorporated in it. 🪿🤔 This tastes abit like a Braised Duck Sauce (Duck is the Closest Comparison to Goose I can compare for People who have never tasted Goose before.) 🪿🦆 The Taste Profile is Saltish and Meaty. Very Nice Sauce this one. 😋
🪿 鹅肉沾酱 (Goose Meat Sauce)
Bright Orange in Colour, this one has a Taste of Beany Taucheo. 🫘 Slightly Salty and Slightly Sweet. Tastes like a Sauce you'd normally find in a Atas Level Chinese Restaurant. 👍 This one also taste good. The Name suggests that this is the Sauce to eat with Goose Meat. 🪿
Another Goose Based Condiment. Again this also has a Very Nice Meaty (Almost Duck but Not Duck) Savoury Taste Profile. 😋 It is Spicy because of the 红油 added. 🌶️ Not Overly Spicy actually, more like "Kiss your Tongue" sort of Spicy although the Spiciness will Linger abit. 🌶️
This one is Straight Up Chinese-Styled 红油. 🌶️ Slightly Spicy but not much. I feel this one emphasizes more to give a Earthy Chilli Oil Presence rather than Spiciness. 🌶️
🧄🌶️ Garlic and Chilli Slices.
🪿 Goose Meat (1 Person) 一人份鹅肉 = TWD220 (S$9.10)
This is the Signature Dish of this Place, I'm actually quite happy to see that they actually have a Solo Set for this. ♥️
There are 13 Slices with Plenty of Random Smaller Cuts of Skins and Fats at the Bottom of them with a Side of Ginger Slices. 🫚 These Random Smaller Cuts were Interesting because this means they probably shaped and cut the Main 13 Slices nicely for Presentation, and any Leftover Cuts are not taken away but instead piled at the Bottom. 👍
This is the 1st Time I've seen a Restaurant do this for a Meat Platter. 🤔 Most Restaurants won't bother to do this and instead maybe use Cucumber Slices 🥒 at the Bottom to Artificially Make the Whole Dish look Bigger in an Attempt to Cut Cost. 🤔 The Leftovers will then be incorporated into another Dish or something.

The Goose Meat Slices were a Nice Thick Cut 🪿 and have a Delicious Smokey Aroma of Bakkwa for some reason. 🔥 It has a Solid Meaty Juicy Bite. 😋 As I've mentioned before, Goose ALMOST taste like Duck 🦆 and your Brain will expect it to have a Familiar Duck-Type of Meat Gaminess but this Gaminess will never really Appear, because this is Goose, 🪿 not a Duck.
Goose is also a Oily Poultry but the Oil also tastes Clean and Not Jelak. 😋 I love the Beautiful Smokey Taste of this Meat that never Overstays its Welcome. The Braised Sauce they lum over this has a Slight Saltish Savoury Taste and the Whole Thing Tasted Amazing. ♥️

The Amount of Off-Cuts at the Bottom of the Meat were quite alot and because they consists Mostly of Skin and Fats, they were Tender Soft to the Bite. 😋 Oily but Never Too Jelak because Goose itself is a Good Tasting Poultry in itself. 🪿😋
The Ginger Slices 🫚 given at the Side are obviously to help with Cutting any Jelakness you may feel, but Personally I don't feel they do anything for me. 😅 For me, I am Not at all Jelak with the taste of the Original Goose Meat. 🪿 But feel free to eat the Meat with the Ginger Slices if you are someone who is easily jelak by Too Much Meat.
Every Single Condiment they have here Paired Very Well with this Goose Meat, 🪿 further enhancing the Taste with their Own Unique Properties. Now I know why this is Considered Michelin-Standard. 👍 This is a Really Good Version of Braised Goose and Nothing Clashed, not even the Condiments. Good Stuff. ♥️

🪿 Goose Intestines with Leek 韭菜鵝腸 = TWD150 (S$6.20)
When this was Served Up, I was Impressed with How Large the Plate was. 😳 It was piled full of Taugeh, Leek with Pieces of Intestines. I dug out the Intestines as much as I could and there were about 20 Small Bite-Sized Pieces of them given for the Price. 👍

Most of the Intestines are Cut in Long Strips although there are some that are Cut Shorter. 🤔 The Sauce they lum in this Dish has a Nice Saltish Savoury Braised Taste Profile 🍯 and the Taugeh and Leek give a Nice Sweet Veggie Crunch. 🥬 This Dish tastes like something Atas that you'd get from a Chinese Restaurant. 👍

The Goose Intestines 🪿 themselves have a Bite Texture that reminds me of 木耳 (Wood Fungus Mushrooms). 🍄 If you've eaten Chicken Intestines before, they are similar. Not much taste themselves, they're Chewy and Bouncy and the Main Taste is that Braised Gravy that they've been Soaked Nicely in. 🍯
This Gravy is the Soul of this Dish and Every Component within depends on it for Taste. 👍 The Components themselves focus more on the Texture, such as the Chewiness from the Intestines 🪿 and Soft Crunch from the Veggies. 🥬 Everything worked together Well to act as a 小菜. This one is worth to order.

🪿 Goose Liver 鵝肝 TWD100 (S$4.10)
🪿 Goose Heart 鵝心 TWD100 (S$4.10)
Although Liver and Heart are 2 Separate Items on the Order Sheet, they are served together on the Same Platter. 🤔 The Amount of Liver and Heart served in this Platter is Alot. 😳 Again No Filler Cucumber Slices hidden at the bottom to artificially make the Dish look Bigger. It really is this much Food given. 👍

Goose Liver tastes about the Same as a Pig's Liver. 🪿🐷🤔 It also has Roughly the Same Bite Texture and Consistency. If there are any Differences, I personally couldn't tell. 😅 If you are someone who don't like the Taste of Liver, this Dish probably won't change your mind too. 😅

Goose Heart 🪿🫀 has a Slightly Softer Bite Texture compared to Liver. It also tastes Very Close like Liver albeit with a Slightly More Meatier Taste. 🍖 Looks Dry externally, but not really.

I liked the Big Stack of 酸菜 Salted Vegetables Sauerkraut 🥬 at the side that they serve with this. Eating them with the Liver and Heart helped alot in hitting away the Overly Liver-ness, providing a Welcome Salted Sourish Veggie Relief. 🥬😋
I wish they sold some sort of Simple White Porridge 白粥 here, 🍚 because I thought this Liver, Heart and 酸菜 Saurkraut would Pair Perfectly with Porridge. 🤔 一口心, 一口肝, 一口酸菜,一口热粥, 吃得几爽一下. 😋

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At TWD220 (S$9.10) for this Big of Braised Goose Meat 🪿 is Not Cheap, but felt Worth It because of How Much Goose Meat you're actually getting. 👍
Goose is a Good Clean Tasting Poultry that ALMOST taste like Duck. 🪿🦆 As I mentioned in the Past, If you like Goose, but find HK Styled Roasted Goose to be Too Oily, Braised Goose is a Nice Mid-Way Compromise. 🪿The One Served Here is Very Well Made and is Worth your Time. 👍 Every Component worked well and Every Condiment paired well with it. 👍
At TWD150 (S$6.20) for the Goose Intestines with Leek, 🪿🥬 again not Super Cheap but I thought this acted as a Good Well Veggie Counter-Balance to prevent any Meat Jelakness. 🥬
The Goose Intestines don't really taste of anything but if you have never eaten before, this is worth to order to give it a try. This dish itself tastes good. 👍
At TWD100 (S$4.10) each for both Goose Liver and Heart 🪿🫀 for a Total of TWD200 (S$8.20) again is Not Cheap but the Amount of Food offered is alot.
If you are someone who enjoy the Taste of Liver, I can recommend to give this a Try. 👍 I just wished I had a Bowl of Hot Porridge to pair these with. 😋
Overall, I had an Enjoyable Dining Experience. 👍 Although Expensive, the Presentation, Quality of the Dishes, Efficient Queue System and Friendly Polite Customer Service to me is Worth the Money. 👍
If you have never eaten Goose before, and you are in Taipei, I can certainly recommend this Place to give a Try. 🪿 They live up to their Michelin Award and the Queue on a Weekday feels Bearable. 👍 Highly Recommended! 🪿👍
