📋 Here is the Full Menu of the Eatery/Restaurant.
Prices are Accurate as of the Date of the Post.

This Eatery is located along the Same Row of Shophouses where Gim Cheng Dim Sum is located. There were interestingly quite alot of Local Customers within so I thought I'd give them a try. 👍 Its quite a Large Eatery that looks like it has been around for some time. Non-Airconditioned but still Airy and Windy. The Staffs are Friendly and Welcoming. 👍

If you are a Long Time Member of this Food Blog, you will know about the Troubles I always have when ordering Kway Teow Kia in JB. 😅 Hahaha! I'm going to spare you the long-winded details of reading all my JB KTK "Adventures" again, and just go straight to the point. 😅 Heck, I don't even have to tell them I want a Solo Set of Kway Teow Kia.They literally have it right in their Menu clearly listed and clearly priced. ❤️ In fact they even have "Intestines" or "No-Intestines" Versions to choose from! 👍

Power lah! Hahaha! ❤️ Why can't ALL JB Kway Teow Kia make it as Simple as this? 😅 Anyway it took 10 Mins for Everything to be served up. Not Bad, considering the Elevated Number of Customers during that time when I visited. 👍

Review of the Chilli Condiment

This had a Deep Crimson Look as you can see from the Photo. At first taste, it has a Noticeable Robust Flavour. It isn't Spicy, more Saltish and a Slight Vinegary. However, the Spiciness is the Type that will Slowly Slowly Intensify on your Tongue. 🌶️

The Spiciness never intensify until it bites Super Painfully type, but it certainly lets its Presence felt Clearly. 🌶️ This Spice Level is probably ok for anyone who is used to Spicy, but People who cannot take even a little bit of Spicy might not be able to tahan this Level. Deep and Robust, this is a Good Solid Chilli for KTK. 🌶️👍

KTK Soup Broth
There is a Nice Savoury Braised Aroma to this and it isn't the Herbal type, as its the More Braised Version. Hot, Savoury and Warming, it is Saltish but Not Overly So. 👍Decent Robust Braised Taste that doesn't taste Watered Down. 😋

One thing I really like is the Presence of Tiny Bits of Crispy 猪油渣 Fried Pork Lard which is seldom seen in KTK Broth like this and I thought they were probably the Reason why this Broth had a Solid Fragrance to it. 😋

Quality of the KTK Noodles.
KTK of courses uses Thin Kway Teow Noodles compared to our Singapore's Bigger Flat Noodles. Again, I feel these are probably from a Package. 🤔 But despite that, I felt they were Smooth and Silky in Texture and Slides down my Throat Easily. 😋 Amount given is not alot but I feel is just about right for 1 Person. 👍

The Main Meat Platter

This Platter consists of:
🥚 1 Small Braised Egg (Cut into Quarters)
🐷 4 Pieces of Braised Pork Belly Meat
🟧 4 Slices of Tofu Taupok
🐷 6 Small Cuts of Intestines
🐷 5 Small Cuts of Stomach Slices

Compared to other KTK Meat Platter, I feel there are Not alot of Gravy Sauce on this one.
🤔

🟧
Tofu Taupok

This is of course the "Sponge" of the Dish. Cut in Relatively Thickish Slices, biting into them releases the Satisfying and Intensely Salty Braised Sauce. 😋 This is Salty but in a Good Way. The Taupok Meat itself is Soft, Tender and the Tofu-ness isn't too Overpowering. 👍

🐷
Pork Belly Meat

This had a Noticeable Elevated Level of Porkiness. 🐷 If this is something that concerns you, you need to take note of this. 🤔 I thought the Combination Taste of both Meat and Fat works well to give it a Nice Porky Fatty Meaty Chew. 👍Nice Tasting but as I mentioned, do take note that the Porkiness in this is somewhat Elevated than Usual. 🐷

🐷
Intestines

Soaked Well with that Salty Braised Sauce, they taste Clean. 😋 Surprisingly I thought the Porkiness Level for these felt slightly subdued compared to the Pork Belly. Perhaps the Salty Braised Sauce soaked in alot more with this one. If you enjoy Intestines with your KTK/Kway Chap, these were Decent Tasting. 👍

🐷
Stomach

Nice Tender, Slightly Bouncy Chew as you'd expect. Clean Tasting and Meaty, this one doesn't have any Porkiness at all. 😋 If you enjoy Stomach, you will probably have no issues with this one I reckon. 👍

🥚
Braised Egg

I'm actually quite impressed that they included a Whole Egg in this Set. 🤔 That said, it is a Small Egg. Abit Dryish but Overall Standard Taste as how you'd expect it to taste. 👍

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Total Combined Price of RM11.00 (S$3.40) for everything in this Set that I ordered here was a Very Reasonable Price for the Quality and Amount of Items given. 👍 Kway and Soup Broth taste Decent and I thought the Salty Braised Sauce they lum in the Meat Platter did alot of the Heavy Lifting and supported all the Ingredients well. 😋

What I especially LOVE is how Hassle-Free it is to Order a 1-Person Set in this Place. ❤️ No Confusion, No Anger, No Frustration. ❤️ Staffs were Polite and Friendly. I wish I had known of this place earlier! 😅 If you are ok with a KTK that is of the Non-Herbal Braised Variety, and is ok with a Slightly Elevated of Porkiness, I can definitely recommend to give this place a try. 🐷👍 Its located along the Same Shophouses where Gim Cheng Dim Sum is.
