Kimberley Street is a Famous Food Street right here in Penang George Town. ๐ฒ๐พ As you can see in the Photos and Video, its a Really Busy Happening Food Street with Multiple Food Stalls. ๐ Some of them are in Shophouses, while some are on the Street. ๐ฃ️ The Photos you see were taken at 5.30pm on a Friday Evening and I feel this is a pretty good time to reach here without it being too crowded. ๐
The 2 Most Prominent Stalls with the Most Queues are a Chicken Feet Koay Teow Tng called "ๅคฉ็ๅคๅณ" ๐ and a Very Famous Kimberley Duck Kway Chap. ๐ฆ Both Stalls are highly regarded in the Many Blogs written about this place.
Kimberley Food Street certainly lives up to its name. ๐ This is a Very Vibrant Exciting Popular Food Street that is Absolutely Worth your time to Visit. ๐ Not Touristy at all, it feels like even the Locals also come here to eat. ๐ฒ๐พ
There are too many Food Stalls available to eat and it is probably impossible to eat them all in 1 Holiday Trip. ๐ If I'm back in Penang, I will definitely be back here again to look for more Hidden Gems. Hopefully I will have the chance to eat that ๅคฉ็ๅคๅณ Chicken Feet Kway Teow Tng that I see such a Long Queue For! ๐

Review Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Highly Recommended)
As you can see in the Photo/Video, this is a Food Cart on the Street. They also own a Shophouse Kopitiam nearby and after ordering, you can just go sit in the Kopitiam and wait for your food to be served. Although Crowded at 5.30pm on a Friday Evening, I could still easily find a Seat as a Solo Diner. The Kway Chup was served up very quickly in 2 Mins.
First of all, I must Compliment how EASY it is to order Kway Chup in Penang.
All I had to do is to say my usual order: "Hello, ๆไธไธชไบบๅ็, ๅ จ้จๆ้ฝๅๅ. ๆๅจ่ฟ้ๅ. ่ฐข่ฐข." (Hello, Just 1 Bowl for me, I would like ALL Ingredients. I'm having it here. Thanks) And thats it. No Blur Blur, No Confusion, No Angry Feelings. Hahaha! Its so Easy to order Kway Chup in Penang compared to ordering Kway Teow Kia in JB as ya'll have seen in my past reviews!

How Does the Duck Kway Chap Taste?
The Chilli Condiment that comes with this is Not Spicy at all, infact its More Sourish than Spicy. Its so Not Spicy, that I think even Children will probably have no issues with it.
Duck Kway Chap is something Unique that I have never tasted before. Kway Chap is usually only Exclusively Pork and every Pork Spare Parts. Despite the Name though, this Dish is NOT ONLY Duck. In fact, the only Duck about it is the Duck Meat and Duck Blood? they give. At its base, its still a Pork-Based Dish filled with Pork Spare Parts.

When it was served up, I was immediately impressed with how Big the Bowl was Generously filled with Ingredients! As you can see in the Photo, there are All Sorts of Stuffs inside, from Duck Meats, Duck/Pig Blood? and all sorts of Pork Meats and Spare Parts topped off with a Spoonful of Fried Garlic on Top for Additional Savouriness
The Soup Broth has a Very Rich Braised Piggy Taste, like a Very Deep Robust and Sweetish Broth. There is No Traces of Herbal, this is Purely a Dark Sauce Braised Pork-Based Soup. Surprisingly Not Oily despite having ๅค้ธญ Braised Duck Meat and Pork Belly in it. Not Overly Salty, this was Very Savoury and I felt I could easily drink this dry.
The Kway is the Completely Different from the Kway Chap we have in Singapore. It is Noticeably Thick, i think the Thickness is at least 2 Slices of Mee Hoon Kueh stacked on top of each other. It also tends to like to Curl to form a more Tubular Look. Despite how thick it was, it was Not Doughy at all, Very Soft to the Bite, Very Smooth and Very Easy to Swallow. Portion given was Generous for the Price. I had initially feared it would be Too Doughy given how thick it was, but I needn't have worried at all. This was a Very Enjoyable Kway to Eat and soaked up the Beautiful Soup Broth very well.
Ingredients within the Kway Chap
Now I can't confirm if the Coagulated Blood Pieces are Pig or Duck (they taste very similar to me tbh). They are cut in Smaller Irregular Bite-Sized Shapes. Not Gamey at all and the Texture was not Overly Firm nor Overly Soft, it was just right.
Duck Meat Pieces were cut into Bite-Sized and were basically ๅค้ธญ. Tender with a Nice Chewy Bite, they were not Oily and did not spoil the Broth with Oil as mentioned. Usually ๅค้ธญ tend to be quite Oily at times, but its not the case here. Also Not Gamey at all, Duck Meat taste wasn't too overpowering.

Special Mention to their Pork Belly as it was Thick and Fat with a Very Smooth Taste. Not at all Porky. All other Ingredients are all very Enjoyable to Eat and each of them contributed in their way to the Dish be it Texture, or Taste. None of them tried to Upstage or try to take over the Taste Profile. One thing noticeably missing are Tofus. There are No Tofus in this Dish. It was Mostly Very Meat-Based but I did not feel too Jelak at all.
Eating Everything together was Very Satisfying. Personally i highly recommend to just order All Cham Cham Liao like I did, unless there's something that you really cannot eat. This is Overall a Very Soft Dish. All the Meats give a Slight Meaty Texture amidst the Softness. Imagine a Very Rich and Savoury Braised Kway Chup. I feel the Soul of the Dish is really the Broth which binds everything together. Amazing!

That said, as I mentioned this Kway Chup is very Meat Focused. If you feel it is Too Meaty for you, add in that Chilli bit by bit. I realize it's Sourishness can Help Cut any Jelakness you may feel. Now I understand why the Chilli is Sour rather than Spicy. Smart Choice.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM12.00 (S$3.60) for Such a Big Generous Filling Bowl Chock Full of Ingredients in this Duck Kway Chup, this is Absolutely Without a Doubt Worth the Money to Try! Heck in fact, I feel this Kway Chup probably Tops Any Kway Chup I've ever eaten in Singapore by far and I'm not even Kidding.
