☕ Kopi-O-Kosong (No Sugar) = RM3.20

Important Note:

This CKT Stall used to be located in the Ping Hooi Kopitiam but it has since shifted to OO White Coffee Kopitiam. 🤔 The Google Map Link that I posted is OO White Coffee Kopitiam.

Their Original Google Map entry may be Incorrect so please ignore that. 🤔 Anyway its just a Short 2 Mins Walk from Ping Hooi to OO White Coffee, not really far away. 🚶

Compared to
仁哥炒粿条 Jin Kor Char Kuey Teow and Siam Road Charcoal Char Koay Teow that I reviewed previously, this is not a Michelin Bib Gourmand Rated CKT but I see this place pop up often when doing my research for Penang Char Kway Teows. 🍜🤔

Some people even swear that THIS is the Original Best CKT in Penang.
🇲🇾
It has also been described as Legendary by some Reviewers. 😳

This OO White Coffee Kopitiam they're located at is quite Popular and Crowded with the Locals as I've observed. 👍 Surprisingly for such a Supposedly Famous CKT though, there are Very Little to No Queue for this CKT when I was there at 8.15am on a Saturday. 🤔

The other patrons seems to be more interested in the Dim Sums or other Stalls than this Tiger CKT. 🤔 Although I could easily find a seat at 8.15am, this Kopitiam fills up fast and by 8.50am when I left, I could see people needing to even Queue up to enter this Kopitiam! So I would advise to come early.

Run by what looks like a Father and Son Team which was surprising because in other People's Reviews or Youtube Videos of this CKT, its either an Older Elder Man, 👴 or an Auntie with a Young Lady. 🧓👩 I reckon this is either a Family Run Business or a CKT Franchise I guess? Anyway, they are Friendly, but mostly keep to themselves.

In Older Photos or Videos of this place, there is also a Very Adorable Signboard they have adorned on their Stall that looks like a Child's Drawing of a Tiger? 🐯😅 Unfortunately, I did not see it anywhere here in this Stall though. (Image was taken from a Random Google Map Review) 🌏 Anyway, give them your Table Number after you ordered and pay. Once Ready, it will be served to your Table. Took about 2 Mins to be served up. 👍

☕ Kopi-O-Kosong (No Sugar) = RM3.20

This is of course from the Kopitiam Drink Stall. I like this. ☕😋 Has a Very Deep Robust Taste without Too Strong Siap Siap. This is a Pretty Strong Coffee that will certainly Wake You Up in the Morning. Good Coffee. ☕👍

🍜 Char Kway Teow (Duck Egg, Spicy) = RM10.00

The First Thing I noticed is that Amusingly, the Plate they use to serve their CKT actually belonged to a Chicken Rice Stall? 🐔😅 Even in Old Photos or Videos, they also use this Same Exact Plate. I would LOVE to know the Story behind this! 🐔😅

Its not a Very Big Plate but is just nice for 1 Person. Very Nice Savoury Fragrant Wok Hei Fried Smell when served. 🔥😋 Comes with 2 Pieces of Big Fat Prawns, 🦐 Pieces of Duck Eggs, 🦆 some Scallions and Pieces of Cockles. 🦪

First Bite of it, the CKT has a Nice Savoury, Not Light but also Not Heavy Sweetish Taste to it. Chilli is not Very Spicy at all but does brings a Mild Undercurrent of Spiciness Heat with every Bite. 🌶️😋

The Duck Egg Pieces are Soft to the Bite although I didn't think their inclusion really made the Dish any more Special. 🦆🤔 The Blood Cockles they use here are Standard Sized and are Noticeably Bigger than the Super Mini Baby ones used in
Siam Road Charcoal Char Koay Teow. 🦪🤔

The 2 Prawns were a Main Highlight as they were So Fat, Juicy and Bouncy to the Bite. 🦆😋 One Ingredient thats noticeably missing is Lup Cheong. 🍖🤔 I did not see a Single Piece of it in this CKT. This is the Only CKT Stall in Penang that I've eaten so far that doesn't have Lup Cheong. 🤔

Also, this is the 1st Time I've actually tasted Scallion in a CKT which was quite surprisingly as it brought about a Quick Shot Hit of Scallion Veggie Freshness. 🥬😋 For some reason, I've never tasted Scallion in other CKTs i've eaten, but I tasted them very prominently here. 🤔

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At RM10.00 (S$3.00), I would say this is a Small Sized, but Competently Well Made Plate of CKT, 👍 although I personally wouldn't purposely come to Penang and Queue Hours just for it. 🤔

In fact, I'm very surprised that there are Little to No Queue for this Stall despite being so Highly Regarded in Online Reviews.
🤔 The Patrons in this Kopitiam were much more interested in other Stalls. Perhaps their Old Fans and Customers are also not aware of their Change of Location? 🤔

The Little to No Queue at this Tiger CKT was a Very Stark Contrast compared to the 50 mins Queue I endured for
Siam Road Charcoal Char Koay Teow 😅 although to be fair it was Lunch Time when I was there and that was Michelin Bib Gourmand Rated after all.

Overall, I'd say this is Not Bad and Definitely Well Made can try, but don't expect to be Completely Blown Away by this. 🤔 Hahaha, I was actually more impressed with the Kopi-O-Kosong that I had here. ☕😅 Also, it was a pity I didn't get to see that Adorable Child's Drawing of that Cute Tiger Signboard they used to have! 🐯😅
