This Place is like a Mini Hawker Centre that consists of Several Food Stalls and the Seafood Stall 蟹老板 🦀🦐🐟 which I ate is actually just one of them. Easily reachable via Grab. 🚗👍 If you are here, there are other options besides Seafood. 👍 Not a Big Place, there are only about 8 Food Stalls here. You can refer to this Photo Collection for all the other Stalls that are available that I did not visit. 📷
Really, the Real Reason why you'd want to come here is to be able to Dine by the Magnificent Sunset View of the Beachfront. ⛱️
Its literally right next to the Beach so you can really enjoy the Soothing Sound of Seawaves lapping on the Shore as you Dine. 🌊😌 The Entire Place is Very Open-Air and Cooling obviously because of the Sea Breeze coming from the Nearby Beach. 🌬️😌
Even at 7.00pm on a Wednesday Evening, there were quite a Few People as you can see, but not Full House and I could still easily find a Seat as a Solo Diner. 👍 This Place really feels like a Hidden Eating Spot for the Locals. I don't see much Tourists here actually. 😌
Protip: The Best Time to come here I feel is at 6.30pm. The Seafoods I ordered took about about 22 Mins to serve up, so if you time it correctly, you should be ready to dine by 7.00pm which I feel is the Best View of the Sunset as you can see in my Photo. ♥️

This is the Stall here that focuses solely on Seafood. 🦀🦐🐟 They have this Attractive Promotion of RM15.00 Per Crab, although depending on the Style of Preparation there will be Extra Charges. 🔥🤔 In my case, cooking it 干香-Styled was an Extra RM8.00. Apparently 干香 is supposedly their Speciality Here. 👍 Never tried this before so I had a go. Also ordered some Prawns. 🦐
Very Friendly Staffs, all you need to do is just Queue up and Order from them Directly. 📜👍 You can choose and pick the Seafood you want from the Containers they have as shown in the Picture. 📷 Once confirmed, re-check the Final Bill with them and just go back to your Seat to wait.
One thing though, they really only focus on Seafood Only. 🦀🦐🤔 I had wanted to eat some Sambal Kangkong Veggies but they don't have it. 🥬🤔 The other stalls in the place also did not have it so I ordered a Plate of Fruit Rojak as a Palette Cleanser. 🍍😅 If you like to have some Veggies with your Seafood, do take note that it is not available. 🥬🤔 There was a Stall that sold Cuttlefish Kangkong though that I missed.
Protip: If you are someone who is Very Concerned about Hygiene, I would advise to bring your own Personal Crab Clamp because the Hammer and Crab Clamp they provided are Quite Tarnished. 😅 Not the Cleanest Tools in the Shed so to speak.
If you are a Rubbish Eat, Rubbish Grow type of person, you probably won't mind this. 😅 But if not, I would either recommend to bring your own Personal Crab Clamp or just simply skip this place altogether. This is not a place for people who insists on Everything Must be 100% Sanitized, Clean and Hygenic. Just a FYI.
🦀 Quality of the Crabs 干香螃蟹
The 2 Crabs are on the Smaller Side, but taste Plump and Juicy. 🦀😋 2 Crabs felt more than Generous for 1 Person to Enjoy. Despite the name 干香, its not 干(Dry) but is Very 香(Fragrant) though. 😋
Actually I feel its like a Mildly Spicy Sambal with a Salty Taste. 🌶️😋 Very 开味 actually, and was Pretty Tasty. It has a Very Similar Profile to Chilli Crab but its not. For People who like a Lighter, Less 重口味 take on Sambal, I can recommend this. 👍 I enjoyed this myself.
🦐 Quality of the Cereal Prawns 麦片虾
In addition to Crabs, I also felt like eating some Prawns. 🦐😋 Their Minimum Order for Prawns is 300g, which was 10 Pieces (yes, I actually counted them) 😅 Their Specialty for Prawns was Assam Style, but I did not feel like it, so I chose 麦片. Not bad tasting, the Prawns aren't Exactly Super Fresh and Firm but are Acceptable. 👍 The Cereal were Plentiful and were Crispy Soft and Sweetish. This would be great to eat with some Rice.
That said though, as with MOST Seafood Restaurants, because the Prawns are Shell-On, most of the time, the Top Digestive Tract are NOT Removed Cleanly. 🦐🤔 Out of the 10 Prawns, only 2 were Clean. But 2 is still better than Zero in my opinion. 🦐😅 To be fair, you won't actually suffer any ill effects if you do eat them as long as they are properly cooked through.
Some people do find it Yucky though. 😅 If you are the type that insists on 100% Clean and Hygenic in Everything you Eat, again I must emphasize this place would not be suitable for you. 😅 At the very least do not order Prawns with Shell-On. 🦐🤔 Just a PSA out there.

This was from the Rojak Stall run by an Adorable and Friendly Elder 大姐. Its a Small Plate but Ingredients are Generously Piled Up. 👍
Rojak Sauce is Thick and has a Deep Earthy Sweetness. 🍯😋 Ingredients are mostly what you'd expect from a Chinese-Styled Rojak of this type with Various Pieces of Bite-Sized Fruits, 🍍 Youtiao, Radish etc. I don't eat alot of Rojaks tbh, but to me, this tastes pretty similar to every Kopitiam Type of Rojaks out there. 👍

This was ordered from one of the Roving Staffs that walk around. Tastes quite Unusual, I don't think this is Sugarcane, this tastes more like Water Chestnut 马蹄水. 🥤🤔 Ok lah I also didn't mind it. Tastes like those Typical Canned Drink.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
I'll be honest, I haven't been featuring much Seafood Places in JB because its not that easy to order for a Solo Traveller. 🚶 Seafood Portions are usually quite huge and I was worried that I wasn't able to finish it. 😅 I also thought it would feel pretty Sad and Lonely to be eating Seafood alone since it is usually the Type of Food that People eat during Social Gatherings. 😅
After this Meal, I'm glad i'm wrong about this Misconception. 👍 It is totally not Sad or Lonely at all to eat Seafood alone. 🦀🦐😋 Heck infact it felt really Liberating and actually Quite Calming to sit by myself to enjoy Seafood right next to a Beautiful Beachfront while enjoying the Magnificent Sunset View! ⛱️😌
Nobody bothered with me, and I could just leisurely enjoy EVERY piece of Seafood all by Myself. 😋 Its true what people say. Being Alone does not mean being Lonely. 👍 I really enjoyed this place very much, and in fact I enjoyed it so much that I will be featuring more Seafood Places in my Future JB Reviews! 😄
At a Total Combined Price of RM90.00 (S$28.00) for EVERYTHING I ordered, I feel this was Definitely Worth the Money to be able to enjoy a Sub-S$30.00 Seafood Feast dining with such a Beautiful Amazing Sunset View. ♥️ Is this even possible to achieve this Level of Affordability with such a View in Singapore? 😅
Sure, the Seafoods aren't Michelin Awarded, Top of the Line Atas High Class type of Standard, but I'm pretty satisfied with the quality I had. 👍 This was Decent, Delicious and Affordable. If you want to come here, I'd recommend to have Realistic Expectations. This is not some High Class 酒楼 Standard of Seafood. 🤔
If you are not the Overly Picky, Overly Emphasis on Hygiene type of Person looking for a Decent and Affordable Seafood by the Beach, ⛱️ I can definitely recommend to give this place a try if you are in Butterworth Penang. 👍 Really doesn't feel Overly Touristy. You don't even have to come eat Seafood only if you don't like Seafood as there are other Food Stalls available for you to try. 👍
I consider this Meal to be one of the Highlights during my Penang Trip.
Its really that Breathtaking Sunset View that Greatly Enhanced my Dining Experience here. ♥️⛱️
