This is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Food Stall.

Despite being a Michelin rated, amusingly I had some difficulties hailing Grab when I wanted to leave this place. 🚗😅 At least 2 Grab Drivers didn't even know how to come here before I had to Self-Cancel. Maybe its because this Food Stall is located near a Roundabout Road and these Drivers just can't be bothered to stop there? Who knows. 🚗🤷

Anyway this was just a Really Small Roadside Food Cart as you can see in the Picture. Its run by what looks like a Pair of Middle Aged Couple. 👨👩 Very Friendly and Hardworking Folks. There were No Queues when I was there on a Thursday Afternoon at around 12.30pm

Charcoal Pancake = RM1.20 each

This is basically Min Jiang Kueh and they only have 1 Standard Peanut Flavour, 🥜 and nothing else. Its Freshly Made on the Spot so its Piping Fresh and Hot when served up. 🔥😋 Because its Freshly Hot, the Outer Skin is Super Crispy with a Delightful Crunch.

What I especially noticed and perhaps you can also see in the Photo is that the Inner "Meat" Area is Thick and I feel is a Tad Thicker than other Min Jiang Kuehs I've eaten. 😋 Its Thick, Very Very Chewy with a Niam Niam Bite Texture. I'd even describe this as tasting almost Gummy.

The Fillings are made out of Standard Sugar and Peanuts 🥜 and they actually aren't alot. This is not the Super Full Gao Gao Peanuts type. Because of this, I feel this is Considerably Less Sweeter than Most Min Jiang Kuehs we have in Singapore. 🤔

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM1.20 (S$0.40) for a Piece of this Thick Min Jiang Kueh, it is certainly worth the money to try. 👍 The Min Jiang Kueh itself does taste nice, especially when you get them Freshly Made and Piping Hot like this. 🔥😋
Having said that, you also need to have Realistic Expectations about this. In the end, this is still a Regular Min Jing Kueh, not some Mind Blowing Life Altering Die Die Must Eat type of Food. 😅

I can recommend this to give it a try if you have a Craving for this but it is definitely not worth to queue up for. 😅 Why I recommend this, is because it is located relatively near to the 2 other Eateries 大山脚蓋飯 BM Cup Rice and 大山脚芋飯專賣店 BM Yam Rice Kopitiam in Bukit Mertajam, so its like a "Ok lor shunbian since they are all nearby, why not give it a try" sort of thing. 👍 Do take note if you want to take Grab away from here though. Hahaha, I hope you have better luck than I did. 🚗😅
