This is a Kopitiam Styled Dim Sum Eatery located in Bukit Indah. It looks just like any other such Dim Sum Eateries in JB. The Most Distinctive Difference is that this is the Dim Sum Eatery that Famous Taiwanese Superstar Jay Chou 周杰倫 himself visited. 😳 Hahaha I've never seen him before IRL. Based on the Photo, he's indeed a Well-Built Handsome Lad. Quite Leng Zai. Calm down Ladies! 😅

The Place is relatively Cleanly Maintained, not Air-Conditioned but still Airy and Cooling enough. Staffed mostly by Myanmar (Thai?) Folks who are Friendly, Polite and Mostly Keep to Themselves. There weren't much Customers when I was there at 7.30am on a Friday Morning. 🌞
Once you're seated down, a Staff Member will bring a Big Tray of Fried Items over to your Table for you to choose. 🍤 If you are not in the Mood for them, just politely reject. 🙅♂️ The Garlic Chilli they have at this place is from some Bottle. 🌶️ Standard Garlic Chilli type of Taste with a Slightly Elevated Spiciness that doesn't bite.

I do like that the Dim Sums are all served in a Traditional Bamboo Basket instead of those Plastic Mr DIY type of Faux Containers. 👍 They use Standard Parchment Paper as a Base though. It took 1 Min for both the Kopi and CSB, 5 Mins for the Har Gao, and 10 Mins for the Siew Mai. Everything was served up within 10 Mins.
102 Kopi O Kosong = RM2.40
Decent SG Kopitiam Level type of Kopi-O. ☕ Not Super Gao Gao, but still can Wake you up. 👍 Acceptable but also Unremarkable.
26 Siew Mai = RM6.90
Served in 4 Pieces, they're Very Small Sized about like a Standard Meatball. 🤔 For some reason, they remind me of the Same Type of Siew Mai that I ate previously in 佳佳點心茶樓 Restoran Kak Kak, which is another Very Popular Dim Sum Eatery in Taman Pelangi. 🤔 That said, these were Much Better Made and Better Looking than Restoran Kak Kak. 😅

What I am surprisingly more impressed however was how Bouncy and Juicy they tasted. 😋 The Whole Thing had a Very Juicy Bouncy Bite Texture that I really enjoyed. Zero Pigginess, this was More Prawny but also Not Overly Prawny. The Appearance of this Siew Mai looks only So So, but I feel its an Above Average Kopitiam Standard due to its Surprising Juicy and Bouncy Bite Texture. Really cannot judge a Book by its Cover. 😅

06 Har Gao = RM6.90
Also Very Small Meatball Size, I liked the Nice Folds on it. 👍 Dough Skin is Soft and Tender but it does get Dry Fast. 🤔 The Filling within is also Delightfully Juicy. When dissecting it, I think its a Whole Small Prawn mixed with what tastes like Fish Paste? 🤔 Prawny but Not Overly So. Again like their Siew Mai, it was Juicy and Bouncy to the Bite. 😋 Very Decent Taste despite its Smaller than Usual Size.

37 Char Siew Bao = RM5.00
Comes in 2 Small Buns, I like the Classic HK-Style "笑口 Open-Mouth" Appearance. 😄 Dough is Soft and Fluffy 松松软软. 😋 Although the Filling within isn't the Sweet Sweet Ooey Gooey type that I prefer, its also not a Braised Type but rather interestingly a Cross Mix of Both? 🤔

Sweet but not Overly Sweet. In fact, I feel the Sweetness for this one is Noticeably Lower compared to many Dim Sum Level CSBs i've eaten. 🤔 Yet its also Not Bland. For people who really are watching their Blood Sugar, this level of Sweetness is actually very Appropriate. 👍 The Meat Filling as you can see is Not Stingy. Overall a Very Decent Quality CSB.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM2.40 (S$0.80) for this Cup of Kopi-O-Kosong was Affordable, but also Unremarkable.
Its a Very Standard SG Kopitiam Level. ☕ Not Super Gao Gao but still can wake you up type.
At the Price of RM6.90 (S$2.10) for the Siew Mai at first didn't look impressive because of how Small they looked, but its the Bouncy and Juicy Bite Texture that impressed me. 👍
This Siew Mai tastes better than it looks. 😅
At the Same Price of RM6.90 (S$2.10) for the Har Gao was surprising because Har Gao usually costs Slightly More than Siew Mai. 🤔
Again, like their Siew Mai, they looked Small but the Highlight is also a Delightful Bouncy Juicy Bite Texture. 😋
At the Price of RM5.00 (S$1.60) for 2 CSBs was an Affordable Price. Again, they're Small (Can you see a Trend for the DIm Sums at this place?) 😅 The Filling is an Interesting Cross-Mix between Sweet and Braised Type.
What was interesting to me is that among the CSBs i've eaten in JB so far, this is a Sweet Type of CSB that is Noticeably Less Sweet yet is also Not Bland. 🤔 I personally feel this CSB is very appropriate for People who enjoy a Sweet CSB but is also watching their Blood Sugar. 👍 This Level of Sweetness also tells me this is Definitely Handmade by them and is not some Pre-Packaged Filling from some Supplier somewhere. 👍

I'll be honest I did not have any High Expectations when I came here because I expected the Taste to be Very Standard Acceptable Dim Sum Taste. 😅 What really impressed me was the Juicy Bouncy Bite Texture of both their Siew Mai and Har Gao. 👍 Now I'm not saying the Dim Sums here are Super Mind-Blowingly Amazing but they are Certainly still Above Average.
No Idea why Jay Chou visited this Eatery of all Places in JB when he visited. Hahaha, maybe he also enjoy a Meaty and Juicy Dim Sum Bite Feel? 😅

This Eatery also passed my "Do they rush to keep my Plates" Test. 😅 As I sat there for a Full Minute or So, No One came to rush to keep my plates in an attempt to "Gently Force Me to Leave". 👍 But of course lah, I also automatic left soon and not hog the Seats for Hours on End. 😅
Overall a Decent, Above Average and Affordable Dim Sum Eatery that even Jay Chou himself approves. 👍 I went up to the Friendly Lady Owner to compliment her which she appreciated. Hahaha, she also verified that this is the Real Jay Chou and not some Random Celebrity Impersonator. 😅 Decent Place. I can certainly recommend this place to give a Try if you are ever near the Area.
