This was a Small Stall in this Old School Restoran Tu Tu Ho Kopitiam manned by a Friendly Middle Aged Couple. One of the More Popular Stall, I noticed quite a Few Customers here ordering this so I gave it a try. 👍 Took about 10 Mins. When it was served up, there was an Immediate Delicious Fried 油香味 Aroma wafting from it. 😋

Kopi-O-Kosong = RM2.20

The Kopi in this Kopitiam was Rich and Robust Strong with a Prominent Bitterness.

Quite Gao Gao with no Siap Siap Taste.
Certainly a Nice Wake Me Up. Not Bad Quality. 👍

Tampoi Char Kuey 淡杯炒粿 (White, Small, Spicy) = RM6.50

Although it was a Small Plate, the Amount given feels acceptable for the Price. 👍 The Dish was Beautifully Presented and Amount of Egg feels Generous. 口口有蛋. 🍳😋 When I took my 1st Bite, I was immediately impressed with the Beautiful Melt in Mouth Soft Creamy Texture of the Kuey. The Whole Piece just dissolves in my Mouth. 😋

I love the Gentle Presence of Wok Hei that isn't Overpowering, 🔥 but what I like even more is a Noticeable Presence of Saltiness that permeates the Whole Dish. Its not Overly Salty and its presence reminds me of Penang Style Char Kway Kak. 👍 The Spiciness is also Mild and Gentle that won't bite but will still provide a Gentle Heat. 🌶️

The Bits of Scallions shoots thru with an Occasional Nice Veggie Freshness and I was delighted to find Bits of Chai Poh within that adds another layer of Salty Hit. 👍

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At RM2.20 (S$0.70) for this Cup of Kopi-O-Kosong is worth the Price. ☕ This is a Very Decent and Robust Gao Gao Strong Coffee that will certainly wake anyone up Fresh. 🌞

At RM6.50 (S$2.00) for this Plate of Char Kueh is also definitely worth it. 👍 Decent and Delicious, the thing that really does it for me is the Wonderful Soft and Creamy Texture of the Kueh. 😋 To make Char Kueh this Soft Texture with Wok Hei and yet still retain its Shape is not easy as this requires a Decent Level of Frying Skill to pull it off. 🔥

Every Component worked well and supported each other harmoniously. 👍 I love that they are not Stingy with Ingredients especially the Egg which I could taste fully with every bite. 🍳😋 Really reminds me very close to Penang-Styled Char Kway Kak. They don't proclaim to be from Penang, but this sure tastes very close to it. 😄 Well Executed, I definitely can recommend to give this a Try if you're here in this Kopitiam. 👍
