Just like Korean Restaurant Bornga 本家 that I reviewed previously, I only really discovered this Eatery when doing a Deep-Dive Exploration of this Mall. 😳 Perhaps thats because it is located in a Rather Secluded Corner away from the Main Shopping Traffic. 🤔 I also specifically posted this place after Bornga 本家 because of the Completely Different Happy Friendly Vibe displayed by the Staffs which was such a Big Contrast. 😄
This is a Restaurant specializing in Thai Mookata which is a Thai-Styled BBQ that I'm sure many Singaproeans are very Familiar with. ♨️ It uses a Special Hotplate unique only to Mookata where Customers can cook their Meats sizzling on the Surface with a Lower Section that can hold the Soup Broth directly under. 🔥 This Design smartly lets any Meat Juices drip down into the Soup Broth section acting as an Additional Flavour Enhancement. 😋
Interior of the PlaceI must say I really like their Adorable Green Dragon Mascot which immediately gave a Very Family Friendly Feel. ☺️ The 1st thing that you will experience is of course a Nice Delicious Aroma of BBQ Meats typical of a Mookata Place. 😋 Interior Design is Not Overly Flashy, more Simple and Functional again with a Very Family Friendly Feel to it. This place totally gave me a Very Family and Friends Gathering type of Place. 👍
The Background Music they play here is some of the Most Varied and Eclectic Choice I've heard for an Eatery. 🎵🎶 Ranging from American Hip-Hop Rap, to Vintage Classics like John Denver's Country Road, to even Chinese Pop Songs like Jolin Tsai's 看我七十二变. 😅 It was such an Good Mix that I find myself bopping my head to the Music as I ate my Mookata too. 🎶🎵😄 Hahaha the only thing i'm surprised is that they never play Hip Thai Songs which would have fit perfectly for a Thai Mookata like this. 🇹🇭
The Staffs are mostly Young Chaps and they were Friendly, Polite. 👍 Most of all, they displayed a Sense of Happiness that was a Huge Contrast compared to the Overly Sombre Fearful Mood that I felt from the Staffs in Bornga 本家. 😄
All of them have this Smile and Spring in their Step. Sometimes Bopping their Heads intune with the Music they played at this Place. 😄 Sometimes joking with each other, and not in a Goofing Off Bad Way as they still do their Main Duty well towards Customers. These Lads look like they actually enjoy their Job here. 👍 Although not Full House, there were still alot of Customers on a Friday Lunch Hour at 2.00pm. It took 4 Mins for the Mookata to be set up and served up.
Before the Main Set Meal was served, there will be a Condiment Rack placed on your Table which also contains any Eating Utensils you will need. 🍽️ The Condiments are Minced Garlic Pieces, Chilli Padi Slices, a Lime Juice Condiment that taste Sweetish.
The Last Condiment is a Unique Non-Spicy Sweet Ketchupy Oyster Sauce. This taste not bad. 👍 I wonder if this is the Famous Thai Brand "Healthy Boy" or "Maekrua" Oyster Sauce that I've heard about? 🤔 Taste good. I feel like buying this for my own cooking actually. 😅

This Set Consists of:
🥤 1 Cup of Drink
🐷 10 Coin-Shaped Slices of Pork Bacon
🐔 Few Pieces of Marinated Chicken Thighs
🍚 1 Bowl of Garlic Rice
🍜 Some Udon Noodles
🥬 1 Bowl of Raw Shredded Cabbages (Non-Refillable)
🍥 Processed Crabstick, Fishcakes, Baby Meatballs
🍄 Mushrooms, Lettuces, Some Veggies
This Set Lunch I had is only available on Weekdays 10.30am to 5.00pm. They have a Few Different Sets as you can see from the Menu. I chose the Pork Set because of course Pork is the Default Meat for a Thai Mookata. The "Moo" in Mookata actually means Pork. 🐷 There are a 2 Pieces of Pork Lard which I felt was enough for the Meal. I'm not sure if they are Unlimited though if you are someone who needs alot of Pork Lard for your Mookata. 🐷
🥣 Quality of Soup Broth
The Soup Broth they give with this is Refillable Free of Charge. 👍 Its a Light, Mildly Saltish Seaweed Soup. If you are watching your Salt Level, I feel this Saltiness Level would probably be ok for you. 👍 Not Overly Salty but also Not Bland. Acceptable Quality.
You have a Few Choices of Drinks available and I noticed they don't have any Carbonated Zero Sugar Soft-Drinks, so I chose the Least Sinful Green Tea. 🤔
I was Delighted that the Green Tea IS Zero Sugar and Not the Sweet Type! Score! 😄 So if you need to watch your Sugar Intake, their Green Tea seems to be the Only Zero Sugar Option available. Not Bad lah, at least better than don't have. No Fish, Prawn also Good. 😅
🍚 1 Bowl of Garlic Rice
This is the Next Option where you have a Few Choices. Chose this as it was the most unique. I didn't have any High Expectations of this, but the Actual Thing was actually Quite Impressive! 😳 Portion isn't alot and its served in a Small Bowl. Maybe 6 Scoops? 🤔 But it is presented very well as you can see in the Photo and isn't just a Typical Simple Plain Garlic Flavoured Rice. There are Bits of Fried Garlic Pieces and More Interestingly even Bacon Bits! 😳
This thing looks like a Egg Fried Rice but its not. Definitely not Plain Tasting at all and actually has a Savoury Garlicky Taste to it but also not Overly Garlicky. 😋 Bite Texture is abit Niam Niam. I am legit impressed with the Quality and Effort they put into this especially so with adding Bacon Bits. 👍 They could have easily given a Very Plain Simple Fried Rice but they didn't and I appreciate this effort they did. 👍 This went beyond my Expectations and I feel is worth to try.
🐷 10 Pieces of Round Coin-Shaped Bacon
Beautifully Presented, I thought these were very Uniquely Cut. 🔪 I reckon these are Pork Belly? I have no idea how they manage to cut them so nicely in a Round Shape. 🤔 Actual Amount isn't alot but I thought was still ok for the Price. Taste is Pretty Standard for Pork Belly with a Nice Fatty Porky Chew. 😋🐷
🐔 5 Pieces of Marinated Chicken Pieces
I was surprised to find these despite the Set calling itself a "Pork Set". All the 5 Pieces were Thigh Meat that were Fat and Juicy. 😋 The Marinade used is a Nice Savory Sweetish Saltish Sauce that is neither Too Sweet or Too Salty. 👍 Not Bad Tasting. It was nice of them to add a Different Meat into this Pork Set.
🍄🍥🥬 The Rest of the Ingredients
I wont go into details for each of these as they are various different types of Veggies, Mushrooms and Different Types of Processed Fishcakes and Meatballs. If you have eaten a Mookata before, they taste pretty much like how you'd expect them to taste. 👍
The Big Bowl of Shredded Cabbage is Not Re-fillable according to their Menu but I feel this Amount is Probably More than enough for 1 Person. 🤔 Of course you can take them Raw for a Nice Veggie Crunch or soak them in the Soup Broth for a Softer Chew. 😋 I do like that they give some Udons which is the 2nd Carb in addition to the Rice you get. 🍜 If you can eat Carbs, I reckon this will probably be acceptable for you.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At a Total Combined Price of RM23.08 (S$7.00) including Taxes, I thought this was an Affordable Price to enjoy a Well Rounded Thai Mookata Single Person Set Meal that includes a Drink in the Price. 👍 I liked how Aesthetically Beautiful the Set was presented 👍 and while the Amount of Meats aren't really alot, it was still a Filling Meal because of the 2 Types of Carbs from the Udon and Garlic Rice and of course the Various Other Ingredients. 😋
Their Garlic Rice especially impressed me because of the Amount of Effort they put in. ❤️ Unfortunately I couldn't eat too much of it. 😅 If you can eat Rice, I highly recommend to order this one. Quality is not Super High Class Atas Standard, but Overall Taste was Very Decent and Acceptable for me. 😋 It was a Really Satisfying Meal. 一口肉, 一口菜, 一口饭, 一口面, 吃得几爽一下. 😋
What really impressed me more is the Friendly Happy Attitude of the Staffs in this Place. 😄 Really 一个天, 一个地 compared to the Overly Sombre Fearful Staffs at Bornga 本家 which I reviewed previously. Seeing the Staffs at this Eatery so happy going about their Job, even made me more Happier eating here as a Customer. 😄 Whoever managing this Eatery is doing a Right Job in making their Staffs happy which in turn is an Excellent 1st Customer Impression. 👍所为员工开心, 自然的会让客人也觉得开心. These Happy Staffs really added alot to the Uplifting Vibe of this Place. ❤️
If you are looking for a Family Friendly Thai Mookata with a Friendly Vibe, I can definitely recommend this place to try their Set Lunch which I feel is Value for Money. 👍 Have you eaten from this Eatery in JB City Square Mall? I'd love to know how you think of them! 😄
