This Modern Nanyang Kopitiam has been open for quite awhile and is located near to the GSC Cinema at KSL City Mall. Its Nicely Renovated and Cleanly Maintained with a Predominently Dark Green Colour Scheme. 👍 The Background Music they play here are Modern Chinese Pop Songs and overall has a Chill Chill Vibe to it. 🎶🎵

It wasn't particularly crowded when I was there at 10.24am on a Friday Morning although it quickly filled up. They also have one of the Biggest Menu I've seen with alot of Items available. 👍 Staffs are Polite and Friendly and keep to themselves. Both Dishes were served up Very Quickly within 1 Min after I ordered. Impressive.
BC213 狮咬虎 Sai Kar Ho = RM7.90
Hahaha so, Ho Kar Sai (虎咬狮) aka "Tiger Bite Lion" was a Beverage I drank the other time at 品茗軒 Pin Ming Xuan Cantonese Dim Sum which I reviewed previously. 🥤 Its a Beverage that is a Mixture of Coffee + Milo/Chocolate. ☕🍫 And is Beverage that is believed to come from Taiping, Perak.
Now of course, if Tiger Bites Lion, the Lion will Bite Back! And so here we have "Sai Kar Ho" 狮咬虎 aka "Lion Bite Tiger". 😅
Hahaha! THIS one I've never heard before, and I don't know if this is an Unique Invention of this Kopitiam or not but I can't help but smile when I saw this in the Menu. 😄 This Beverage is a Mixture of Milk Tea (Teh) + Milo/Chocolate. 🫖🍫
Personally I feel that the Teh and Milo compliments each other very well here. 👍 The Main Taste is a Teh Peng with a Nice Milky Tea Taste, and the Milo only comes sneaking in as a Subtle Aftertaste and doesn't try to Dominate the Tea. 👍 I thought the Mix here was a Nice and Refreshing Combo. 😋 Of course this is a Sweet Drink and I really shouldn't drink this due to my condition, but I just find it very nice. Cold Milk Tea with a Chocolately Taste. Oh So Nice. 😋
PS02 班兰椰丝芝士刘新蛋糕 Ondeh-Ondeh Bake Cheese Lava Cake = RM14.90
I chose this one because this is One of their Specialty and is also one of the Most Highly Raved Dishes on their Google Map Reviews. ☺️ I also thought it was nice to have a change to enjoy something different and unique from a Modern Kopitiam like this instead of the usual Cooked Stuffs all the time. 👍

Its not a Big Cake. 🧁 About a Palm-Size and slightly more than an Inch in Height. I thought it was just nice for 1 Person. 👍 It was served Warm and is a Soft and Spongy Pandan Cake with a Eggy/Cheesy Cream Filling. 😋 The Top was Very Generously Topped with Coconut Flakes 🥥 and Drizzled with some Gula Melaka Syrup. When you break it open, the Eggy/Cheesy Cream Filling generously flows out like a Lava Cake. ♥️ There's not alot of this Cream but just enough.

Even though it calls itself an "Ondeh-Ondeh", it tastes nothing like an Ondeh-Ondeh. 😅 There are Zero Mochi Texture anywhere. I reckon it calls itself that because of its Colour and the Coconut Flakes on it. Inspired by the LOOK of an Ondeh-Ondeh, but not the Taste of it. 😅Although I mentioned earlier its a Pandan Cake, the Pandan Flavour is actually Not Strong and in fact Very Faint. 🤔 When you bite into it, the First Thing you'll notice is the Soft and Easily Collapsible Bite Texture of the Pandan Sponge Cake with Plenty of Coconut Shreds Chew. 😋

This is followed by a Shot of that Eggy/Cheesy Cream. This Cream is a Mixture of Egg and Cheese of course, but Neither taste Overly Overpowering and are both Quite Light in Taste, also Not Overly Sweet. 😋 In fact, this Whole Cake don't have a Typical Sweet Taste you'd expect from a Cake. 🤔 Its really More Eggy Creamy than Sweet, really not a Very Overly Sweet Taste Profile. 👍 I'm not sure how much Sugar is used, but it sure doesn't taste as Sinful as other Overly Sweet Cakes out there. 👍
Pairing this Cake with the Sai Kar Hor was a Perfect Combo because while the Cake itself is Not the Sweet Type, the Drink provided a Refreshing Sweetness that I thought paired very well together. 😋

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM7.90 (S$2.50) for the Sai Kar Hor 狮咬虎 Drink, I thought it was a Reasonable Price to pay. 👍 I thought the Mix between Tea and Milo felt just right with neither one trying to Overpower the other. It is still a Sweet Drink so its not something I can drink regularly but I wouldn't mind enjoying this occasionally once in a while. 😅 Hahaha! its Adorable isn't it? We got Ho Kar Sai 虎咬狮 and now tombalek got Sai Kar Ho 狮咬虎 too! 😄
RM14.90 (S$4.60) for this "Ondeh-Ondeh" Lava Cake I also feel is a Reasonable Price for a Cake. 🧁 There are some thought that has gone into its design. 👍 What I especially enjoyed is that its really not Overly Sweet, so I can eat this with much lesser guilt hahaha! 😅 That said though, if you are the type that prefer your Cake to be the Sweet Sweet type, you might not like this one. 🤔 Also, some Reviewers feel that it may be Too Jelak for 1 Person. So if you are a Small Eater, I would recommend to share this with someone. Ahem...by right any Cakes should share with someone lah, not eat by yourself. Hahaha! 😅

I enjoyed this place and these 2 paired together very well. 👍 The Warmth from the Cake and the Chill from the Drink and made it a Very Enjoyable Dessert Combo. 😋 This Eatery is a Great Option to Chill and Relax with after some Retail Therapy Shopping in the Mall. 🛍️
