This is a Relatively New Eatery here in KSL City Mall, located near to the GSC Cinema. Its quite a Large Area, Renovated Nicely and Cleanly Maintained. 👍 Although not Crowded, there were still quite a few Customers within on a Thursday Evening at 5.42pm.

The Staffs are Polite, Friendly and mostly keep to themselves. Ordering of Food is thru an Online QR Menu but the Webpage didn't load properly for me. 🤔 The Bell to call for Staff Service also did not work 😅 but luckily they were Friendly and Responsive when I had to signal for them to order directly. I guess they have to look into resolving both their QR Menu and Table Bell system. 🤔

Yellow Rice Wine Chicken 黄酒鸡 is their Main Signature here, and I ordered the Pork Belly Salted Fish 咸鱼花腩煲 because of how raved a Reviewer reviewed this on Google Maps. 🤔 Both Dishes by right come with a Bowl of Rice each, but I requested to forgo the Rice. Price remains the same even if you don't want the Rice.

It took 7 Mins for the 黄酒鸡 to be served up, and 咸鱼花腩煲 surprisingly took the longest to be served up in 14 Mins. Everything was served up in 14 Mins.

A002 黄酒鸡 Homemade Yellow Rice Wine Chicken (No Rice) = RM23.90

I'll be honest, I have heard of this dish before but never tasted it, so this was my First Time. 😅 This was served in a Small Claypot which is suitable for 1 Pax. There is a Slight Aroma of Sweetish 酒香味 wafting from it. 😋 Amount of Chicken looks like 1 Chicken Drummy thats Cut Up 🍗 and there are many strips of Ginger within.
The Broth was Bubbling Hot when it was served up. 🔥 Its Slightly Thickened and tastes Very Sweet. Not Figuratively Sweet, but Actually Sweet with a Slight Hit of Ginger Heat. 😳 Not Herbal or Alcoholic at all, and the Whole Taste is just Sweet. 😳

The Chicken Meat is Tender but still had a Firmish Bite. The Taste is completely absorbed from the Sweet Broth and I could hardly taste any Chicken Taste at all from this. 🤔 I don't hate this dish, but neither is it something that I really like. I just felt that the Sweetness of Everything Too Overpowering and perhaps Overstayed its Welcome too much. 😅
But perhaps 黄酒鸡 is supposed to taste like this? I wouldn't know since this is the First Time I'm tasting this. Personally I was hoping there would be at least a Savoury Element to it to help offset that Overwhelming Sweetness. 🤔 This Dish is not for me due to its Overwhelming Sweetness, but perhaps some people may like this sort of taste.

A003 咸鱼花腩煲 Pork Belly Salted Fish (No Rice) = RM16.90

The Google Reviewer that reviewed this described it as: "The Aroma is so good that another Fellow Customer can’t resist asking him about it." 🤔 For me it was ok lah, there is a Savoury Aroma, but it can't compare to another Customer next to me who ordered their "A007 啫啫鸡 Sizzling Chicken Claypot" which I thought smelled even more Savoury (due to Bellpepper) then this. 😅

Anyway this Dish has a Similar Dark Sauce look like a 宫保鸡. Amount of Pork Slices feels Acceptable for the Price. 👍 Bite Texture was Firmish and it was Not Porky at all. In fact the Whole Taste Profile is completely from the Sauce itself.

The Dish is called "Salted Fish" and while I didn't see any Physical Salted Fish Pieces, they are actually all integrated and melted into the Sauce making it Intensely Salty. 😛  Really Salty and Mildly Spicy, I feel this Dish needs to be eaten with Rice to balance off the Saltiness and not eaten plain like I did. 🍚

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At RM23.90 (S$7.30) for the 黄酒鸡, I personally don't feel its worth the money because its not a Dish that appealed to me as its just Too Sweet. 🤔 Despite being a Whole Drummy, I still feel the price seems quite steep to pay. I'm also not sure if this is how 黄酒鸡 is supposed to taste like. If you are someone who like this dish, then perhaps this will be more worth for you. It is much too sweet for me. 😅

At RM16.90 (S$5.20) for this 咸鱼花腩煲, I feel the Price is Slightly more Reasonable because the Amount of Pork Slices are acceptable. 👍 But this Dish also did not appeal to me because I find it way Too Salty for my taste. 😛 Perhaps this is because it really needed Rice to offset the Saltiness which I did not order, so I will not mark it down because of it.

I find these 2 Dishes to be Complete Polar Opposites of each other. One is Extremely Sweet and the Other is Extremely Salty. 😅 Hahaha don't come here to eat them 空口 without Rice like me. Although Both Dishes did not appeal to me, I feel that its because perhaps I'm not the Right Audience for them. 🤔 I can totally see another person with a Different Taste enjoying them.

Don't let my Average Score deter you from this place. Give them a try and decide for yourself if this is a place you enjoy. 👍 I wish I ordered their "A007 啫啫鸡 Sizzling Chicken Claypot" which seemed to be perhaps more to my taste. Oh well, guess I wasn't lucky with my choices this time. 😅
