If you are a Frequent Visitor to KSL, you will most likely have seen this Big Eatery at the LG Level Entrance right next to You Kee XO. Compared to You Kee's Bustling Business, I've always never seen much Customers patronize this, and it is never crowded until need to queue type of situation. Even at 2.30pm on a Friday Afternoon when I was there, it was not crowded at all. 🤔

One reason perhaps is that sometimes there are No One at the Entrance to Invite People. 🤔 For my case, I had to Self-Service and go in to look for a Seat myself. The Staffs didn't look very Pro-Active and feels more like they are into chatting among themselves. 🤔
It also doesn't help that this place is rather Warm and Stuffy 🥵 so I would recommend to sit under a Fan if possible. It took 6 Mins for my Dish to be served up.

瓦煲海鲜肉碎粥 Claypot Seafood with Minced Pork Porridge (1 Pax) = RM37.50

This is One of their Signature Dishes. When this was first served up, I was immediately impressed with how Generous and Big the Claypot looked with the Soup Broth Bubbling away when the Cover was opened. 👍 There is a Very Nice Fried Onion Savoury Seafoody Aroma wafting from it. 😋

To see if this is Worth the Money, I took the time to Extract and Count every piece of Ingredient inside as best as I can for ya'll to take a look. 😅 You can see how they look like in my Photo Collection.
This Claypot Dish for 1 Pax comes with:

🐟 A Couple of Pieces of Fish Meat
🍡 2 Fishballs
🐚 5 Lala Shellfish
🦪 2 Scallops
🦐 2 Cleanly Processed Mid-Sized Prawns
🦑 2 Pieces of Sotong Cuttlefish
🐷 Some Minced Pork Bak Chor Pieces
🐷 Pork Lard Pieces
🍄 Enoki Mushrooms

All the Ingredients that are claimed in their Menu Brochure are all Found within. There was Nothing Missing and Everyone of them were all accounted for. 👍 There were even extras such as Enoki Mushrooms and Pork Lard Pieces not mentioned in the Brochure. Not Bad and I thought the Amount of Ingredients given felt Reasonable for 1 Pax. 👍

I like this Soup Broth. It has a Familiar Warm and Comforting Savoury Taste of Minced Pork Bak Chor and Seafood. 😋  Tasted 清甜 and Not Overly Fishy or Salty. This has a Very Agreeable and Acceptable Taste for anyone who have eaten a Seafood Porridge like this. 🍲

Amount of Porridge felt Generous and I think there are at least 1.5 Small Bowls worth. 🍚 They're soaked in the Broth Very Well and are Good to Eat. Its basically adding Cooked Rice into the Soup Broth, so its not those 煮到烂烂 like Ber type and you can still discern the Rice Texture. I have no Complaints here, the Amount was Reasonable and this was a Decent Quality Porridge. 😋

No idea what sort of Fish is this, but the Meat is Very Soft and Tender. There is a Very Slight Fishiness but Nothing Particularly Disruptive. 🐟 This is an Acceptable Quality for me, but do take note when eating this because some of them still have Bones attached.

The Fishballs are Soft to the Bite. They taste Clean and felt Handmade. 👍  Size is roughly the same as the ones that you would normally find in a Typical Fishball Noodle Stall. Not Particularly Amazing, but Decent Quality.
The Lala Shellfishes were a Decent Size and are Meaty with No Odd Slimy Texture. 👍 Not Fishy at all and it was Nice to Schluck them while eating the Porridge. 😋

The Type of Scallops they use here look Good in Appearance, almost like a Baby Abalone. 🦪 They have a Nice, Soft and Juicy Bite which releases abit of Oysterly Shellfish Taste that is not Overly Strong. Again very Decent Tasting.

The 2 Mid-Sized Prawns have their Heads Attached with Feelers Trimmed Off and are Very Cleanly Processed to remove their Digestive Tract. 👍 The Meat were not Firm and Bouncy however and were more towards the Mushier side. Not sure if its because of Freshness or the Species of Prawns. 🤔 Acceptable Quality.

Sotong Cuttlefish tasted Firm and Bouncy and the Minced Pork Bak Chor were Acceptably Meaty and Not Overly Porky.
There are also a few Thin Ginger Slices 🫚 within obviously to help 去腥 and I didn't mind biting into them as they don't taste Overly Gingery due to how thin they were sliced.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At a Total Combined Cost of RM42.00 (S$13.00), this felt Pricey for a 1 Pax Seafood Porridge. 🤔 However I felt the Amount of Ingredients given didn't feel Stingy and although weren't Super Amazing, was still Decent in Quality. 👍 Amount of Soup Broth and Porridge were Very Acceptable for the Price and it was a Very Filling Meal. 😋

Actually even though it is advertised as 1 Pax, I feel 2 Ladies with Smaller Appetites will be able to enjoy this together and it will cost even Cheaper per Pax (S$13.00 / 2 = S$6.50) 🤔
Quality-wise, I have no issues with this Seafood Porridge. 👍 This is the sort of Warm Comforting Dish that would be Perfect for a Cold Weather or a Rainy Day. 🌧️ Its not Atas High Class Restoran Quality, but neither is it Trash. This is Very Decent Quality for me.

That said, I have no idea why this Eatery is always so Empty. 🤔 Perhaps the Initial Perceived Price of RM37.50 looks Too Intimidating Prohibitively Expensive for Potential Customers? 🤔 Or perhaps its because the Staffs themselves aren't Pro-Active enough? Perhaps its a Combination of the Above Issues I mentioned and the Perceived View that "Eateries that don't have Long Queues are No Good" perspective that compounds the issue? 🤔 I'm really not sure.

If you are craving for some Decent Warm, Comforting and Filling Seafood Porridge and don't mind that this place has hardly has any Customers, I can recommend this place to give it a try. 👍
If you have eaten from this place before, I'd love to know what you think about them! 😄
