B.O.D stands for "Bao On Demand" according to their Official Website. 🤔
If you are a Regular Visitor to KSL City Mall, you will most certainly have seen this Franchise before.
Interestingly they have 2 Outlets in this Mall. 🤔
- One is a Food Kiosk located right infront of Lotus Supermarket at the LG Level.
- The other is a Frozen Pack Shop thats also located at LG Level but nearer to the Glutton Food Street Food Court side.
You can refer to my Photos to see how they look like. 📷

It is quite Popular as you can see in the Photos, so I thought I'd give them a try. I like that you can treat their Kiosk Version as a "Sampler Station" before you decide whether to purchase their Frozen Versions to Dapao and bring back home. 👍 I also like that they have a Glass Window for their Frozen Pack Shop where you can see them actually making the Baos Fresh In-House for Sale. 👍The Staffs were Friendly and keep to themselves.
Protip: After you buy the Buns from their Kiosk, head over to their Frozen Pack Shop area because there are Tables and Chairs available for you to sit down and comfortably enjoy the Buns you bought. 👍

Do note that they will charge RM0.20 for a Plastic Carrier Bag if you need. Both Buns are very Baby Small, like a Dim Sum Sized Small Bao as you can see held in my Palm. The Fillings within for both of them were Piping Hot. 😋

咸蛋流沙包 Salted Egg Lava Steamed Bun = 3 for RM6.50
This 流沙包 really does have alot of Piping Hot Cream within that burst forth the moment you break it open. 😋 It does have a Noticeable Taste and Gritty Texture of Salted Egg. 👍 Not Overly Salty or Overly Sweet at all and Very Creamy. 😋 The Bao Skin is Soft and Fluffy but does harden abit when Colder. I thought this is actually Comparable Quality to even some of the 流沙包 sold in some Budget Dim Sum Eateries I've eaten. 👍

御品叉烧包 Mini BBQ Pork Steamed Bun = 3 for RM6.50
Also very Small Sized, the Bao Dough used is the Same as the one used in their 流沙包. The Amount of Meat Filling within feels Generous 口口有肉. 😋While its not the Sweetish Wet Wet Ooey Gooey Type that I like, its also Not the Braised Type. Sweetness is Considerably Milder but its there. Not Too Sweet actually and I feel is actually good for someone who cannot eat too sweet like me. 👍 Not Bland at all. I like this version.

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM6.50 (S$2.00) for 3 Mini 流沙包 or 3 Mini 叉烧包, that makes them cost about S$0.70 per piece. 🤔 Not Exactly Very Cheap, but felt reasonable as I thought the Quality was Not Bad for the both of them. 👍 I especially liked the Cream Filling for their 流沙包 as it really does have a Noticeable Salted Egg Gritty Texture and Taste. 😋

I also liked their Mini Small Size because it was Easy to Eat them without feeling Too Jelak. 😅 In fact, I brought them to the Cinema to watch Movie while Munching on Them. 😋 At a Total Combined Price of RM13.00 (S$4.00) for 6 Buns in Total, I felt they were even better than buying Popcorn to munch during a Movie! 😅 That said like I mentioned earlier, while I enjoyed the Buns I bought from their Kiosk, I cannot confirm if the ones sold in their Frozen Pack Shop taste as good if you were to Dapao back and Microwave them. 🤔
In addtion, I thought you should know that in some Google Reviews of this place, there were Multiple Complaints of Customers being coerced into spending more to get a Free Foil Bag 🛍️ but end up not getting the Free Foil Bag because it is Out of Stock. 🤔
There was even one Customer who found a Cockroach frozen in one of their Frozen Packs! 🪳 So Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware. 🤔
If you have eaten the Baos from this Franchise before, I'd love to know how you think of them! 😄
