Thailand Pig Foot and Sarawak Kolomee.

Thailand Pig Foot

泰国猪脚饭 Thailand Pig Foot Rice = RM12.00

No Service Charges

泰国猪脚饭 or Thai-Styled Pig Foot Rice is something I've watched multiple TikTok Videos of but have never tried the Real Thing. OMG the Videos always shows it to be so Mouth Watering!
And you know what? This Stall doesn't Disappoint!

Just look at how Amazing this plate looks! Everything was so Generous! Super Fatty Pork Leg, Intestines, Heaping Pile of Rice, Both Cai Xin and 酸菜 (Sour Veggie)

That Fatty 猪脚 Pork Leg OMG!! Super Crazy Soft and Melt in your Mouth Quality! Biting into it is like biting into "Meat Butter" I almost wanted to Faint from Happiness right there LOL! The Intestines here have a somewhat strong taste though, but is still very nice when paired with 酸菜 and Rice.

Wah the Star of the Show is the 猪脚 Pork Leg. Really No Horse Run. The Skin machiam like Soft Jelly. I hate it when Braised Pork Skin has a Firm Bite-Feel, and this is the Complete Opposite. To achieve such a Softness, you need to Slow-Braise it for a Long Time. Stall Owner revealed they braised it for at least 2 hours, which sounds about right. This Whole Dish is totally a very Chinese Dish. Its literally Braised Pork Rice 卤肉饭 tbh.

The 2 Chillies provided however reminded me why the name is called "Thai". Both of them are Vinegary and Bitingly Spicy just like a Good Thai Sour Spicy condiment. I reckon they're there to help relieve abit of the Porky Jelakness. They're good, but the Dish itself is already so good that I feel adding them is really not needed. Go ahead and spam them if you prefer it though.

The Soup has a very interesting taste that I can't quite pinpoint. Its not exactly Herbal and has a very distinctive taste. The Stall Owner was very honest to reveal that they actually used a Pre-Packaged Thai Soup Packet and I saw that it was an Orange Packet. Apologies I did not take a photo of it. Very unique taste that I've never tasted before.

The Most Beautiful Aspect of the Meal personally for me was actually the Stall Owner herself. Just look at my photo at her Beautiful Smile! She was such a Friendly and Jolly Lady!
THIS is the kind of Ultimate Food Experience that I look for when exploring for Good Food.

吃的人开心,煮的人开心,大家都开心.
(Customer Happy, Stall Owner Happy, Everyone also Happy) Having said that, I have no idea if this is considered Authentic 泰国猪脚饭 for Purists out there, but I sure have no problems highly recommending this for Everyone.

Sarawak Kolomee
Review Rating: ⭐⭐
 (Below Average)

Small 砂拉越哥罗面 Sarawak Kolomee (White - Original) = RM7.00

No Service Charges

I've heard of Sarawak Kolomee, but never tried before, so I gave the Original White Version a try. This has a Beautiful Presentation chocked full of Liao. I especially liked the mixture of Bak Chor and Fried Shallot giving this a very Nice Fragrance. The Noodles itself almost looks like Maggie Mee but somewhat slimmer. Its not QQ at all and leans more towards a Mushy Bite-Feel. Mixing everything together, the whole thing had a Very Oily Texture with a Sweetish Taste. Char Siew is Fake Dyed in Red Colour and it looks more Fake than the Fake Char Siews i've had so far. Not impressed with this. Portion is reasonable for its asking price though.
A Sweetish Tasting Noodle Dish is not to my Preference. Is Original Sarawak Kolomee supposed to have a Sweetish Taste? Perhaps the Black Version i'm assuming Salty one is more for me. Occasionally the Fried Shallot Taste shoots thru giving it a more Savoury Taste that I like. The Soup looks Cloudy but have an Unremarkable Taste. I think this is just a Very Simple Scallion Soup.
This Whole Dish to me has no individuality and feels like an interpretation of WTM that has no Wanton. A few components turned me off: Mushy Noodles, Overly Fake Char Siew and the Sweetish Overall Taste. Not sure if Original Sarawak Kolomee is supposed to taste like this. Personally I'm not impressed and feel that this is a filling, but rather average tasting noodle dish. (Review Update: After having tasted Authentic Kolo Mee, No this is Not Sarawak Kolo Mee. Even though it claims to be White Kolo Mee, this is neither White nor Red Kolo Mee as these 2 actually have a Distinct Difference. The Version sold here is like a Mish-Mash Frankenstein that has No Identity of its own.)
