I originally took a Bus to go Bukit Indah Aeon and mistakenly got off earlier. Arrived at this place, and this was the First Stall that caught my eye. I myself don't usually eat much Vegetarian Food even when I'm in Singapore. Perhaps its 缘分 that I gave this place a try? If you have eaten Normal Non-Vegetarian 凤爪面 before, you will know its basically Braised Chicken Feet Noodles. Chicken Feet itself is the Main Component of this Dish and I'm very interested to see how a Vegetarian Version can interpret this very Critical Component.

Just look at the Dish! Its Adorable! To emulate the look of a Chicken Feet, its actually a rolled Tau Kee cut in such a way that it looks somewhat like a "Chicken Feet". Obviously this will not fool anyone, but I love the Creativity in this. 

Of course, Critics will question why the need to Emulate a Meat Item when its supposed to be Vegetarian? Personally, I feel its more about Artistic Creativity when Vegetarian Dishes do this. I think of it as someone trying to make a Model Airplane. Its not a Real Airplane, but its still something Artistically Similar. To me, if a Dish tastes good, does it really matter whether its Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian?

Back to the Dish itself, I feel the Noodle Portion is Acceptable. Its QQ, not overly QQ but still QQ. Mushrooms in particular are Fat and Juicy with a very Savoury Strong Mushroomy Taste that added alot to the dish. Not forgetting the "Chicken Feet" Tau Kee which has a Nice Bite after soaking up the Sauce. The Sauce itself has an unmistakeable Vegetarian Oyster Sauce taste and its not bad.

You know Vegetarian Dishes usually have that distinct "Alkaline Taste" when you eat it? Its not as bad here. Must've been quite a Decent Quality Vegetarian Oyster Sauce they're using. Even for a person like me who don't eat Vegetarian Food often, I actually enjoyed this. The Soup is a nice and light tasting Seaweed Soup. Its not overly salty and can stand on its own. I reckon it can be used as a base to make some Soup Dishes of its own.


As I'm not a True Vegetarian, I don't know if Vegetarians will enjoy this, but I myself did enjoy it. I gave a Thumbs Up to the Stall Owners and complimented that I enjoyed it even as a Non-Vegetarian.

Perhaps it really was 缘分 that I gave this place a try. To be clear, this Dish will probably not convert you to be a Vegetarian if you aren't one. If there are any Vegetarians out there, do come here and give it a try and let me know what you think.
