This is a Food Stall located within the 阿里山茶餐室 Alisan Kopitiam, that sells Lor Mee. 吓死人 Even on a Thursday Morning, this place is SERIOUSLY packed to the BRIM! It is during such times when I truly appreciate that I am a Solo Traveller as I could easily politely request to share seats with others.

Non-Solo Travellers are definitely going to have trouble finding an empty table here. If its so packed during a Weekday, I can't even begin to imagine the situation on a Weekend. But why is it so packed if its only Lor Mee you may ask?

Oh my Friends, this is because this DOES NOT taste like the Lor Mee that you're familiar with.
Really, this tastes more like SHARKS FIN SOUP!!
In addition, someone on Google Maps recommended choosing 老鼠粉 and this is a Secret Menu Item that is not advertised on their stall. (I mean it is quite unusual to choose 老鼠粉 when eating Lor Mee)

Of course, there are different Noodles you can choose, but if you choose 老鼠粉 instead of Regular Noodles, you will only need to use a Spoon to eat this, and this magnifies the illusion you're eating Sharks Fin Soup. The illusion is even more convincing if you add Vinegar to it. Clever!

Just by looking at my photos, you can already tell the Gravy is the Super Gao Gao full of Liao type. This thing really does taste like Sharks Fin Soup.

The Chilli given on the side is Complex and is Bitingly Spicy. It is optional to add it as it might take away the illusion, but it will still enhance the taste.

Sharks Fin Soup is quite rare nowadays, and is considered a delicacy due to the nature of the dish. If you have never eaten it before, or is the type that is opposed to the killing of Sharks, I can totally recommend this to try. It is almost indistinguishable from the real thing IMO.
Heck even though there are other stalls in this Kopitiam, this Lor Mee stall DOMINATES the scene and its really not hard to wonder why once you've tasted it. Because this place is so packed, expect up to at least 15 mins of wait time (At least that was my timing before I got mine)

The Stall Lady is very Friendly and seeing her work despite the numerous orders without going Completely BONKERS and can still even smile was really fascinating to watch. I can't help but go over and gave her a Big Thumbs Up and Compliment her on this Masterful Dish they have created. I even jokingly asked her if she was selling Lor Mee or Sharks Fin Soup. Hahaha her Laughter was so Jolly!
