This was a China-Based Eatery located in the Area. 🇨🇳🤔 Its quite a Big Place, Very Nicely Renovated and Decorated with a Modern 古风 China-Styled. 🇨🇳 I like that even the Tables and Chairs also got that type of Classic 武侠小说 Old-School Wooden Bench Style of Look. Hahaha! 😅

The Place is Air-Conditioned although not Cold at all. Quite Warm actually. 🤔 The Staffs that man this place aren't Chinese at all, more like Myanmmar Folks. 🤔 Not a Single Chinese Person is in this place which personally gave me some doubt if the Food served here is really Authentic or not. 🤔 Red Flag Raised. 🚩

I was the only Customer here on a Friday Evening and the Whole Place had a Very Sleepy Feel to it. 🤔 While the Staffs are Not Unfriendly, the Impression I get from them is that "They are just there just to Exist." I could see they were Very Very Bored of their Job and got a Very 无精打采 Sort of Feel. 🤔 I will elaborate further why I cannot recommend this place. Despite the Eatery's Name, I did not order any 饺子. 🥟 I only came to this place because of 2 Dishes that seems to be quite recommended and popular by Google Map Reviewers. 🌏
Xi'an Youpo Noodle was Served up in 8 Mins, Xunrou Dabing took the Longest to be served up in 14 Mins. Everything was served up in 14 Mins despite me being the Only Customer there. 🤔 Quite Long tbh, but I feel the 8 Mins Timing is ok for the Noodles, and I also accept the 14 Mins for the Dabing because of how its made. 👍 Should this place be Crowded though, I don't know how much Longer this will take, although I feel this place also may not last long as you read on. 🤔

At first look, the Amount of Noodles don't look like Alot. 🍜 There is a Very Slight Waft of what smells like Burnt Beef. 🐮 Like most of such China Noodles I've eaten in the Past, there are No Meat within, just Noodles, 🍜 Gravy 🍯 and Vegetables, 🥬 right down to its Basics.
When you start Mixing the Noodles Up, you will realize actually the Amount of Noodles is quite reasonable. 🍜👍 They are Big and Flat like a Hor Fun but not as Thin. They're also not Overly Thick and I feel are just the Right Thickness. 👍 Not Overly Doughy at all, and I feel this is Handmade. 👍 Chewy with a Firmish Bite, this is an Acceptable Quality for a China Type of Noodle.

The Soul of this Dish, as are typical of China Noodles like this is the Condiment and Sauce they use. 🍯👍 Its Very Oily and I think uses 红油. 🌶️ There is also a Dab of what looks like Mala Condiment in it. The Sauce itself has a Tinge of Sourishness with a Firm Impact of Mala.
In fact the Mala quickly takes over the Main Taste Profile and yet it is not those Overly In-Your-Face type of Mala and Not Overly Spicy. I call this kind of Mala Level "小麻而不辣". 🌶️😅 Just enough of "麻" to tease your Tongue but not too much of it to Numb it. 😛 If you have eaten such China Noodle Dishes before, you will know what I'm saying when I say this is the type of Sauce that helps 开味 and Opens Up Your Appetite to eat more. 🍯😋

Culinarily, I really like how this Noodle tasted even without any Meat. 🍜👍 It strikes the Balance of Not Overly Mala, Not Overly Spicy, Not Overly Salty for me. That said, I do feel that perhaps due to the 红油, it is a Tad Too Oily for me. 🍯🤔 But I'm not going to fault it because like most South-East Asian Chinese, I didn't grow up culturally eating this type of (Northern China?) Style of Noodles. 🇨🇳🍜 If you are the Type that appreciates and enjoy such Style of Mala Mala type of Meatless Noodles, I feel you will probably enjoy this too. 👍

When this was first served up, I thought this looked like a Jacked Up Version of a Popiah. 😅 Its divided into 6 Sections. Looks really Impressive with its "爆花" type of Crackly Crispy Outer Skin. 💥😋 I reckon they slather a Layer of Egg Wash on this Dough Bread and Frying it to achieve this. 🍳🤔 Despite the Outer Crispy Outer Skin, the Main Body is actually More Stretchy and Chewy, almost like a Roti Prata Consistency. 🤔 Not Too Thick, Not Too Thin, there is a Nice Savoury Oil that permeates the Whole Thing. 🍯😋

I also dissected one section to take a look and its bits of Shredded Pork Pieces 🐷 with Slices of what I think is Leek (韭葱). 🥬 Amount of Meat in this is Acceptable and Every Section I took had a Even Distribution of Meat. 🍖😋 They're even Braised 卤水肉 so I appreciate the Extra Effort being made here. The Whole Thing is Not Overly Porky, Not Overly Meaty with a Tinge of Leek that helps curb the Overly Meatiness Feel. 🍖👍 Imagine a Very Thin Prata with a Crispy Outer Skin wrapping some Shredded Pork 🐷 and Leek 🥬 and you get the General Idea of what this might taste like.

That said, I do feel that it is Overall a Very Dry Dish. 🤔 The Skin is Dry, Filling within also Dry. I'm quite surprised there isn't any sauce within to help offset the Dryness. 🍯🤔 I would have added some Sauce myself if I were to make this. They do offer a Black Vinegar based Condiment with this Dish and Dipping in it gives a Much Needed Fluidity and a Nice Vinegary Tease that is Enjoyable to Eat. 👍 I am personally impressed with this Xunrou Dabing, and I feel that if they were to just serve 3-4 Pieces of this, it can even pass off as a Dim Sum Dish. 😅 Totally won't look out of place if this is served in a Dim Sum Restaurant. 👍
Why I am giving this Place my Lowest Score
As good as the Dishes were, unfortunately, it was the Utter Lackadaisical Attitude of the Staffs that Drastically Lowered my Impression of this place. 🤔 To be fair, they weren't Unfriendly. But they gave off such a Sian Sian Downer Vibe that even I felt abit awkward when eating here. 🙄 Now I'm not trying to Nitpick, and I absolutely understand that when there are No Customers around, it can be Very Boring and although Not Professional, I have No Issues with Staffs feel Sian or even Play Handphone to pass the time. 👍
What I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT ACCEPT is seeing their Own Staffs literally lying down flat all over their Own Kitchen Area and Sleeping in Full View of the Customer. 🛌😴😳 I'm not kidding or over-exaggerating about this.
So after I stepped out of the Washroom, I walked past their Kitchen Area and saw 3 of the Male Staffs just literally 躺平 spread out, 😴 lying down on the Kitchen Floor, or on the Tables of their Kitchen Area just Sleeping. 🛌😴 As I stood there to watch them for abit, one of them even looked at me with a Blur Blur Expressionless Face 🥴 without even any Single Shred or Sense of Paiseh at all. 😅 They didn't even make the Effort to Wayang Wayang abit or even give a Single "Oh Dear I got Caught" Awkward Smile infront of their Only Customer. 🥴🤔 Basically its just DGAF. 😅 I dunno lah. How would you feel if you were in my Situation looking at them like this? 🤔 Would you dare to recommend this place to others?

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At RM10.80 (S$3.10) for the Youpo Noodle, I feel this is a Reasonable Price to pay if you are someone who enjoy such China Style Meatless Noodle. 🇨🇳🍜 It does taste nice and very 开味. 😋 For Folks who are looking for more Value and don't like a Dish that doesn't have Meat, 🍖🤔 you might not enjoy this as much.
At RM10.90 (S$3.20) for the Xunrou Dabing, I feel this is Definitely Worth the Money to try because of how Unique this tasted and How Culinarily Interesting the Technique used when making this. 👍 Even for Folks who are looking for Value will probably also enjoy this because it really is a Big Fat "Meat Popiah" to eat. 😅

I'll be very Honest, I have no issues with the Quality and Taste of Food here. 👍 In fact, I am impressed by the Culinary Techniques employed in the making of them. 👍 If you are into Cooking as I am, I reckon you will also be impressed with how these Dishes were made. There is some Thought and Skill involved in them. 👍 I also don't have any issues with the Staffs Attitudes towards me. Even though they behave Sian Sian, they were never Unfriendly towards me.
Unfortunately, its the Complete Bochup and Jitao 躺平 Attitude of the Staffs that really turned me off. 🛌🙄 Even if an Eatery don't respect their Customers, they should at the very least show some Basic Respect to their Own Kitchen. 🙄 Lying flat all over the Kitchen Floor and sleeping like a 死尸 Corpse is Extremely Unprofessional and an Absolute Embarrassment! 🛌😅 What sort of Nonsense Kitchen Discipline is this?
Because of the Attitude Displayed by the Staffs to their Own Eatery, I feel this Place has a Very Major Deep-Rooted Issue that I don't even think it is possible for them to improve. 🤔 I personally don't think this place will last any longer. I honestly cannot recommend this to anyone. 🙅♂️ Heck I won't be surprised if this place has already shutdown by the time you read this review. 🤔 Perhaps it is best to just shut the whole place down. 🙅♂️ I cannot bear to see a Kitchen being so Disrespected like this. 🙄
This is the First Eatery in JB that I have given my Lowest Score not because the Foods taste Bad, nor the Staffs Customer Service towards me, but rather the Staffs disrespecting their Own Kitchen. 😅 This has got to be a New Historical Low for me. 😅 Never in my Wildest Dreams have I ever thought that I would need to even grade a place using this type of Criteria but here we are. 🛌😅 Not even in Gordon Ramsay's Reality TV Show "Kitchen Nightmares" do any of the Staffs lie down and sleep in their Own Kitchen like this. 🛌😅 This may be the WORST Restaurant (in terms of Staffs Attitude) that I have ever seen in my life. 😅
