As I explored around Bukit Indah, I came across this Interesting Place. I've never eaten Terengganu Foods before so I thought I'd give this a try.
Its situated in a Big Kopitiam called "Triple One Restaurant". The Staffs are Friendly and Welcoming. The Dish has a very Rustic Look and looks Very Authentic. Its a Bowl of Noodle Soup served with what looks like 2 Ikan Kuning Fishes (Yellowstripe Scad).

There is a Large Dollop of Red Sambal Paste on the Noodles and it is Very Bitingly Spicy. It has a Very Strong Haebee Base mixed with what tastes like Chye Poh. Deep and Complex, this is a Nice Sambal Paste. I really like this Red Sambal, and I think it must have a Special Name, because it tastes too unique not to have a name of its own. Never seen Chye Poh being added in a Sambal before.
The Soup is a Very Rich and Fragrant Prawn Broth. 好汤! Noodles are done well. Not Super QQ but still QQ. Portion is Generous and Filling. Every Ingredient Works Well in the Bowl. Noodles, Kang Kong, Taupok, Some Taugeh, and it's the Prawn Broth that Carries Everything. This is Essentially a Prawn Mee Soup without Prawns.

The Star of the Show is of course the Ikan Kuning. There are 2 Sambal Pastes slathered on them. The Red One is the same as the one they used in the Noodles. The Other Paste is a Very Sourish Assam Sambal. I reckon their Main Function is to help reduce the 鱼腥味. Both are Perfectly Utilized on the Fishes, providing an Alternate Exciting Spicy and Sourish Taste Mix.
The Fish Meat is Not Very Fishy, and it's slightly unusual to see them Boiled here because its more commonly seen Deep Fried in Nasi Lemak. Meat has a Mushy Bite feel but it's not to say that they're not Fresh. I also tasted some Base Salt Marination on the Fish Meat itself and it pairs very well with the 2 Sambals. One of the Fish even had some Fish Roe! Score! Pairing the Fish to Eat together with Noodles is Perfect. This is a really Good Combination.

Having said that, this is a Very Spicy Dish. Even for a Person like me who is used to Spicy Foods, I was still somewhat Gasping for Air when eating this. This is also not recommended for Small Children as the Fishes are Full of Very Small Bones.
My First Time trying a Trengganu Dish and while I can't be sure if this is really Authentic, I really enjoyed it. This feels like a "Fisherman's Meal", something a Fisherman would probably eat Daily. Overall feels like a very Malay-Styled Dish and because of the Sourish Assam Sambal, also has Hints of Thai Influence.
