This is a Restaurant that serves Nepalese Food which I thought to be quite Exotic, considering I have never travelled to Nepal myself and have never eaten Nepalese Food even when in Singapore.
"Sunset Meadow" is such a Chill Name to give to a Restaurant! The Staffs all look like Nepalese and while the place isn't crowded, there are still quite alot of customers and all of them are also Nepalese. I'll be honest, this is the first time I've seen so many Nepalese in one spot. Even the Music they play in the Restaurant is Nepalese. This place is so Nepalese, that I don't feel like i'm in Malaysia anymore. To me, this tells me that this Restaurant is probably quite Authentic.

The Serving Chap is a very Friendly Fellow and seeing that I have never eaten Nepalese Food before, he recommended me to try their "Momos" which is a Dumpling. Momo is such an Adorable name to give to a Dumpling! I also chose Thukpa which is a Noodle Soup as i'm very interested to try their Soups. Even more Exotic, I chose the Buffalo Option for both of them since I've never eaten Buffalo Meat before.
Buffalo Thukpa (Noodle Soup) = RM9.00
The Buffalo Thukpa smells very nice when its presented. This is a Huge Bowl chocked full of Ingredients such as Cabbage and Longbean. Buffalo Pieces are cut in Strips and they are VERY TOUGH to chew. Wow, i'm not kidding but Buffalo Meat is Tough! They are also Spiced and don't exactly taste like the normal Beef that we're used to even though they're from the same Bovine Family. Noodle Portion is very generous and they are cut short. They're not QQ and are Soft but not Mushy.

The Soul of this Thukpa is really the Soup. When I first drank this, my mind went blank as this is a taste that I am extremely unfamiliar with. It has what I would describe as a Strong Tomato Aroma, and when you first taste it, it has a very Strong and Unfamiliar Bitter Herb Mix. Definitely not a South East Asian Taste Profile.
The Prominent Taste throughout is Bitter, which may turn some people off at first taste. But as you eat more of the Dish, the Bitterness gets lesser and lesser and becomes more Savoury as you quickly start getting used to it. Amazing. I have never tasted anything that works this way. This is the kind of Robust Soup that I'd imagine people drink during a Cold Winter. It really feels that this Soup will really warm you up and "Heal" you.

Buffalo Momo (Dumpling) = RM12.00
For the Buffalo Momo Dumplings, they are intricately wrapped as you can see in the Photos. The Dough Skin is not as thin like DTF Xiao Long Bao, and Bitefeel is Doughy but don't have a Raw Dough Taste. The Momos looks like it has 汤汁 inside but no. Inside is a Spoonful of Minced Buffalo that is thankfully very Soft, Juicy and Very Heavily Spiced. First Bite of this Spiced Minced Buffalo reminds me of a Similar China 肉夹馍 Filling. While this Momo is definitely not Chinese, it has Hints of Indian Spices. Its a very Unique Taste.

The Chilli Sauce provided is Very Complex and is composed of Herbs that I am entirely unfamiliar with. The Spiciness doesn't kick in immediately but gradually. And when it does, you will feel it's Bite. What I didn't like about the Momos is that they have a very Oily Texture which turned me off abit.
But otherwise I enjoyed them. Both Foods taste Unique, and the Staffs being very Friendly. I can totally recommend this to anyone who is adventurous enough to give this a try especially if you are the type that is willing to try Unfamiliar Exotic Foods.
