This was a Very Big and Spacious Eatery here in Taman Melodies and seems to be quite Popular too. ๐ I thought the Interior is modeled like Someone's Home. ๐ Although Air-Conditioned, it didn't feel Cooling although it also wasn't Stuffy. ๐ค
The Staffs are Friendly and Welcoming and keep to themselves. ๐ Ordering of Food is through a QR Menu although you can order from their Paper Menu too. ๐ And this is also one of the Biggest Menus too. They not only do Dim Sum, but seems to specialize in Zi Char too. ๐ณ The Menu is so Huge that I took Screenshot also take until Fingers Tired. ๐ท๐

The Amazing Thing is, even without specifically requesting for it, ALL of the Dishes were served up at the same time. ๐ณ It took them 10 Mins. Additionally, all the Foods were served Very Hot. ๐ฅ Even the Plates they're served on are Hot.
I love the Dim Sum Basket they have here as it looks quite Atas looking being made of Bamboo with a Nice Metal Lining Edge. ♥️ Very Good Looking compared to the Standard Faux Plastic ones that many other Dim Sum Places use. ๐

The Condiments at this Place
The Red Chilli has a Nice Honey-Based Sweetish, ๐ถ️ Slightly Sourish Taste and the Spiciness will bite your Tongue abit and linger. Dont taste like its from a Store-Bought Bottle. Good Quality Chilli. ๐ถ️๐
Black sauce is not just a Simple Sweet Sauce. ๐ฏ๐ค Its actually a Sweetish Plum Sauce that has a Good Quality to it. Not Spicy at all, I was quite impressed with this because its not what I would expect to be served up in a Dim Sum Eatery. ๐
Steamed Chicken Siew Mai Dumping = RM9.90
The Siew Mais are served in 4 pieces. Size is Very Small comparable to a Small Meatball. The Wanton Skin is Decently Wrapped. ๐ I especially LOVE the Wanton Skin used as it was really Very Thin and Melt in Mouth Quality. ๐ฅ๐ This may be One of the Softest Siew Mai Skin I've tasted so far. ๐

As good as the Skin was though, Unfortunately the Chicken Filling within didn't have a Bouncy Juicy Texture you'd expect from a Conventional Siew Mai. ๐๐ค It has a Much Softer Meat Texture that is more akin to something you'd find in a ่ๅ . Soft Soft Bite Feel. ๐ค
The Chicken Taste is Prominent and has a Lingering Peppery Undertone. The Feeling I get from this is that I'm eating the Meat Filling of a ่ๅ that looks like a Siew Mai. ๐ค Totally not how a Siew Mai should taste, but I do like their Slightly Different Interpretation and I will not fault them for it because this is not a Chinese Dim Sum in the first place. ๐

Crystal Prawn Dumpling = RM9.90
This is of course the Classic Har Gao. ๐ There are 3 Small Pieces about the Size of an Average Fishball. While the Skin is Thick, thankfully it still had a Soft Bite and Not Doughy. ๐ Abit wasted that its Too Thick. If it was a Tad Thinner, this would have been Perfect.

The Filling within is a Full Prawn thats Cut and Folded in Half. ๐ฆ Not Super Bouncy but good enough firmness. Its not dry, but there's no ๆฑคๆฑ within. ๐ฏ๐ค Also not Overly Prawny too. There are No Fillers in here, it really is 1 Whole Prawn as you can see it dissected in the Photo. ๐ท
Overall, I though this Har Gao is not bad. ๐ I actually consider this Above Average to even some Budget Chinese Dim Sum Eateries I've eaten in JB. ๐ค If the Skin was Thinner, this would have been a Big Win. But Overall, its Not Bad.

Scallop Cheong Fun = RM9.90
Presentation-wise, this was the Most Impressive among the 3 Dishes. ๐ The Zhup has a Good Quality Soy Sauce Taste but I thought tasted a Tad Too Salty. ๐ง๐ค If they slightly lower the Salt Level of this Zhup it would actually taste Very Close to a Atas level of CCF Zhup. ๐ฏ๐ค

Sambal is not something you see in CCF itself and I was impressed with the Quality. ๐ถ️๐ It is Haebee Based, and has a Nice Slightly Earthy Sweetish Taste to it. ๐ Its Spicy but Not Overly So and will gently linger on your Tongue. ๐ถ️
Malay Folks are Sambal Experts and to see them utilize this Expertise so Creatively on a Chinese-Styled CCF is very Refreshing to See. ๐ถ️๐ Its totally trying to emulate the CCF Chinese type of Haebee Hiang. ๐ That said though, Sambal is a Strong Condiment and is a Tad Overpowering for something as Soft as CCF. ๐ค I feel it would be better if they put it on a Side instead of putting it as a Main Condiment, but again I will not fault them for this. I never fault attempts at Creativity. ๐

CCF Skin is Soft but Not Melt in Mouth. It is Acceptable but I felt could be better. ๐ค The Star Ingredient in this Dish are the Scallops which is quite an Unusual Filling to use for CCF. ๐ฆช๐ค Normally its either Prawn or Char Siew. I dissected it and can confirm there really are Scallops within. ๐ฆช๐ Not alot, its about maybe Half a Scallop worth thats diced into Small Pieces. ๐ช They're also all concentrated in the Middle of the CCF and not spread evenly. ๐ค
Unfortunately, the Main Thing I disliked about the Scallops are that they are Tasteless. ๐ค Plain and Bland, there isn't even any bit of Salt. ๐ง๐ค Personally, I feel they are more llike a Novelty and don't really add anything to the Dish. They were unfortunately the Weakest Component. ๐ค

------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At a Total Combined Price of RM33.26 (S$10.27) with a Dim Sum Dish at the price of RM9.90 (S$3.10), this is more expensive than the Budget S$1.50 Dim Sums we have in Singapore. ๐คThat said, despite the Various Flaws and Imperfectons in each Dim Sum that I described, the Overall Quality Level is still Significantly Above Budget Dim Sum Level. ๐

As I tasted each of them, I could tell there are Actual Effort and Thought being put into their Design and Implementation and they are not just suka suka ้ชๅ้ชๅ anyhow made for a Quick Buck. ๐ This may sound abit Over-Exaggering, but through the Dishes, I could feel the Sincerity and Culinary Passion of the Person or the Team that designed them. ๐จ๐ณ๐ฉ๐ณ While I don't agree with some of the Creative Choices they chose or implemented, I totally respect what they're trying to do. ๐
Especially since they're most likely not Chinese, I appreciate their Effort in trying to Re-Create Chinese Dishes as best as they could. ็็ๅฏไปฅๅๅพๅบไปไปฌ็็่ฏ. ♥️ If you are nearby the Area, as long as you can accept that this will not taste 100% Authentic to Chinese Dim Sum, and if you are also ok with the Prices on the Menu, I can still recommend this place to give it a try.
